DC at Dusk was the highlight of our trip to Washington! Our guide, ‘Tourgod’, was very knowledgeable about all of the sights on our tour with plenty of punny humor and charisma along the way. There is ample time at each stop for photo ops and exploration galore. The open-top bus offered unparalleled views of monuments and buildings along the route. The city cooled off considerably during the dusk time frame of the tour, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Only regret is that we didn’t bring our nice camera to capture sunset monument shots! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DC at Dusk to anyone!

I was coming to DC to look at a school, so I decided to ask my mom to come with me to make it a fun weekend. The one thing she wanted to do? See the monuments all lit up at night. Boy, did this tour DELIVER. Our guide, Terry was extremely knowledgeable about DC history and monuments, and was extremely engaging to listen too. It was clear she loved her city and her job. It was a little chilly the night of our tour, and we were embarrassingly unprepared for the cool weather, but it did not diminish the experience at all. It was a clear night and the monuments looked amazing. Terry knew all the best spots and tricks for pictures. I would absolutely recommend this tour, just be sure to wear comfy shoes and to bring a jacket and a good camera. The pictures from my iPhone barely capture how beautiful everting looked.

We booked this tour last minute and almost did not go as we had spent an exhausting day exploring the Smithsonian's and Arlington but to miss this tour would have been a huge mistake. Our tour guide Nick made this a truly memorable experience. He was so so knowledgable about these monuments and DC in general. His humor was spot on, clean and paced just right. To start, one couple was late for meeting the tour and he was patient, called them multiple times and waited just to make sure we didn't leave anyone unintentionally behind which I thought was incredibly generous. He was very explanatory of COVID precautions and the tour "bus" was really a very modern and clean ecocline type van which was clean and well maintained. We hit every monument on the agenda with PLENTY of time to enjoy the moment, take pictures (which Nick very kindly took for us) and ask any questions. The tour was spot on with 3 hours and was well worth every penny. Do yourself a favor, book this tour ..... and ask for Nick! You will not be disappointed!

Our tour guides Edgar and Ali gave us a wonderful evening tour of Washington D.C. Edgar gave us an informative tour of several sites around the city. We had enough time to take pictures and he encouraged camaraderie among the tourists. The explanations of the war memorials was informative and emotional. You really feel the pain that each of the memorials invoke because of Edgar's reverence for the fallen soldiers. Wear comfortable shoes because there is a good bit of walking to see the sites. Ali's bus driving was wonderful. I can't even imagine trying to drive through that traffic. Seeing D.C. at night was beautiful.

We appreciate the great feedback! We work hard to ensure each of our passengers have an unforgettable tour experience, to hear the great job Edgar and Ali delivered means a lot. The way that Edgar presents the history and the elements that the soldiers endured really allows you to see the suffering that the sculptor portrayed. Thank you for your kind words!

This is a must-do if you are staying in Washington, DC overnight. As beautiful as the buildings and monuments are by day, they are even more dramatic and lovely by night. Team this up with a top-notch driver (Theo) and guide (Dion) and you'll have an unforgettable experience. We were picked up at our hotel in a spotless and comfortable small tour bus. Dion combines encyclopedic knowledge with wit and entertaining delivery. Most of the stops included time to get off the bus and enjoy Dion's explanations, descriptions and lore. My only suggestion wold be for the tour to supply headsets, and a mic for Dion. He has great vocal production, but if you were in the back of the group it was hard to hear everything while walking. It would be a shame to miss a single word! I highly recommend this experience!

I can't recommend this tour enough... the city is beautiful at night and it was such a great way to see it! We would never have gotten to all of these sites on our own nor would we have known the history behind each. Christopher is the BEST tour guide... his knowledge was amazing, his delivery was engaging and he was full of funny jokes. Don't miss this tour!

This tour is excellent. We took this tour with our 6 and 9 year old children and our mother in law (60s). Please note, while this is a tour that drives you to each site by bus, there is still a lot of walking and many of the monuments have stairs. While you don't have to be incredibly physically fit to take the tour, you will want to be able to complete walking many flights of stairs (the most is the Lincoln Memorial with 87 stairs). Each stop allows you to view the sites for approximately 15 minutes before returning to the bus and traversing to the next location . The busses are comfortable and provide free water. I believe this is the best way to see all of the monuments quickly, visiting in the evening allows great photo opps with less crowds, all while learning interesting facts about each monument as well as many historical and significant buildings along the way. Dré, our tour guide, has mastered the art of storytelling, and his presentation was overflowing with a plethora of insightful facts and symbolic reverie, delivered in a rhythmic flow likened to that of a spoken word poet. You'll be remiss if you don't bring a $20 dollar bill on this trip, as after he moves you to tears with his retelling of our nation's most significant historic events, your guilt of not tipping him adequately will haunt you like John Adams haunts Jefferson's memorial with taunts about how, in the end, he lived longer.

We arrived for our tour and rushed to get onto the tour van because it was steadily raining. We were greeted by our “tour god”, Nick. He introduced himself and described what to expect during the tour. As we began, it wasn’t long before we realized he was going to be an amazing guide. He was a DC native, born and raised. He knew the history of all the landmarks we were passing. He shared fun and unique facts about presidents and other related topics that we probably wouldn’t find in any history textbook. Didn’t really know Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler? Or What US state does not have a street named after it in DC? In addition to providing quality content, he was hilarious. His jokes were the best. He had the whole tour group laughing. I won’t spoil any of those jokes here. 😊
So, there is a downfall to our experience. We arrived at our first or second stop which was the White House. After walking as close as we could with the rest of the tour group, we were given approximately 8 minutes to be back at the bus. We walked back to the van within the allotted time frame and were excited to see that because the rain let up, the roof of the minibus was removed, like a convertible. Much to our dismay, we boarded the tour van to be the only two passengers that had to sit in seats that were still covered by the roof of the van. The way the van was built was that the roof appeared to have moved forward and all the seats except for the first 2 rows were exposed to open air. As the tour continued, the guide was sharing details, facts, (great jokes!) on surrounding buildings, structures, etc. He would say to look to the right or look to the left, as we did that, all we saw was a black and opaque window. In addition, there was little to no airflow so in the humidity and heat, trying to breathe was stifling. Every stop, all the passengers would disembark, and it was left unsaid that all would return to the seats that they were already sitting in prior to exiting the vehicle. We tried to make the most of it, but it was very unfair that the rest of the passengers were able to see the view and breathe fresh air while we couldn’t.
Unless you have no interest in seeing what the tour guide is talking about, don’t sit in the front 2 rows.
Aside from that, an amazing tour. Loved that it was in the evening. Loved the stops. Loved the tour guide. Loved the tour guide’s jokes. Loved the information that was shared during the tour.

Wow, great tour, and our tour guide, Josh, did a amazing job. He told funny stories about multiple landmarks, and added so much knowledge and factual information into our experience- we would have never gotten insight out of the landmarks had we went on our own. The only thing I regret is not doing this at the beginning of the trip! It would have been a great way to kick off a week of fun. Thank you for the great experience! Highly recommended.
