      Memories Made!
Joe was a fabulous and thorough guide. We had fun exploring the monuments and memorials at a decent pace. This is something I wouldn’t have normally booked, but I’m so glad I did!

Nice ride to enjoy DC Capital Sites!
The tour guide, Hose was helpful, provided information for taking photos at important spots, and helped us throughout the ride. Overall I have enjoyed the ride and would recommend this tour to anyone who loves cycling.

      Completely UNSAFE bikes
We chose this company based on the stellar Trip Advisor reviews! Wow, we did not have that experience at all. The guide was 5 stars, and we tipped him generously. But the bikes themselves were UNSAFE. They were not in good condition as promised -- insufficient braking capability, loose steering, no night lights, inconsistent operating brake lights (important when following another bike in the dark), loose ebike control panels (flopping around on the handlebar). Staff did not make any attempt to help you adjust the seat height for proper riding, check the brakes, or to ensure the lights worked (front and rear), or that the bike was in SAFE operating condition. There were six people in our group, and ALL of the bikes malfunctioned in some important way or another. Reflective vests should be mandatory for a night tour, not optional. Weeks before the tour, we were assured by phone that the entire tour was on bike lanes and not on busy streets. WRONG. Poor brakes on busy streets with cars who can't see you + no front light = recipe for accident. We were just lucky. Don't believe their marketing hype.

Guide was great as was tour -- small feedback: bikes were a bit old/ worn tires and group felt too large for safety. Group of 15 kept getting split up at stop lights - a group pf 8 is ideal.

Perfect Day in Washington seeing Monuments!
First week of November was the perfect time for a trip to DC! No lines, very few tourists. Quiet, perfect weather! We did ALL the monuments the first day on the rented bikes. This was honestly the best day! The kids loved the bikes, your feet didn’t hurt, were able to take our time and go where we liked. I only gave it a 4 star because the bikes did not have a phone holder, which made navigating a bit of a trick, and dangerous for the phone. The reservation was great- they were very professional, easy to deal with. Bikes worked great- no problems with function at all.

We had a great experience. Mark was our guide and he had a lot of great info. He kept the ride fun and the amount of stops was excellent for a 2 hour timeframe.

A must do while in DC
This tour is great. It doesn’t disappoint. David, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, nice, and looked out for the group. DC at night is the best and this is a terrific way to do it. Absolutely would do this tour again if we return.

      Dramatic monuments and easy biking
Great fun to bike at night between the monuments and get a short intro from the guide, who was excellent at keeping our group of 15 all together. We thought about doing it on our own with Lime bikes but it was nicer to have no hassle factor and not having to navigate busy streets ourselves. We could just reflect on the meaning and importance of the monuments. It's good to see them during the day and the night setting where lighting makes them even more dramatic.

      Take this tour. Highly recommend.
Excellent way to see many monuments and buildings around the mall. Bikes and helmets were decent. Our guide, Mary, was excellent. She is a local who clearly explained the history, meaning and nuances of the area.

      Rush not much fuss
Our guide was nice and may have been full of knowledge, but it’s unclear because we were so rushed to go through the different stops, we didn’t get a ton of info about the monuments. I would recommend saving your $65 and spend $45 on renting the bike for the entire day and explore the monuments at your own pace.

This past weekend, my brother and I were in the DC area for the USC/Maryland game. The game itself was a letdown as USC dropped its fourth game as they continue to falter in the Big Ten.

Nonetheless, my brother and I always find an e-Bike Tour to take in, and this one did not disappoint. Our guide Jack, was the best. Our guide Jack, was the best. Jack during his full-time employment is an elementary school teacher and his knowledge of the DC area and history were unmatched. Jack was able to take a group of 19 through most of the monuments in an effortless way. Jack was beyond professional, and his knowledge was unmatched as he was able to provide tidbits of information on the history of the monuments and their background. The only complaint that I have about this tour is that 19 individuals on an e-Bike Tour in the busy DC area is a lot. In fact, the advertisement says that the groups are no longer that 12 and I believe that number would have been appropriate.

Even with a large group, Jack was still able to deliver. So, if you’re in the DC area and you love tours, and you want to pack in as much as possible, I would highly recommend this E Bike Tour!

Was in DC for a business trip and figured a bike tour was the fastest way to cram as much sightseeing as possible into my trip.
I arrived for 10am on Monday 18th November and, to my surprise, had my tour guide Joe all to myself.

Guess I got lucky with the timing as DC was very quiet and Joe made sure I saw all of the usual sights and some extra due to being able to make our own path as a duo.
I very much appreciate his excellent knowledge and flexibility it showing me around.
Sped through some bits, depending on what I wanted to see, and slowed down at others, which was great.

All in all it was perfect timing to allow me to see and take pictures of all the monuments largely without crowds.

Joe was a great guide with decades of knowledge to share around, some great recommendations for things to do after the tour, and a very personable friendly nature.

This is my third Ultimate Biking tour, having done two in New York City, and I'm always impressed by the guides and organisation.
Will happily recommend Ultimate Biking and Joe for anyone looking to see DC.

Loved the Monuments and Memorials tour! I've done bike tours in 4 cities and this one was fantastic. Matthew was the guide. At the beginning of the tour he asked the group if we would prefer to squeeze in extra stops or spend more time at the monuments on the schedule and we agreed that more stops would be great, so the Capitol was included, as well as a couple of the other museums and memorials along the way. Matthew spent just a few minutes talking at each stop, and then gave plenty of time to get off the bikes and take photos. I have been on other tours where the guide just loves to talk at each stop and I wonder if we will ever continue riding. This tour was the opposite-- the talking was kept to a minimum and we covered a lot of ground with plenty of time for photos, which is exactly how I like it. The ride was very safe, the terrain was flat, and the bike ride was easy, you definitely don't need an ebike for this route. I highly recommend this tour to anybody who has limited time in DC and wants to cover many of the hot spots.

I have done 25+ bike tours in cities throughout the world and this would rank as my lowest - not because of the sites I saw in Washington DC (it is a stunning city!) but due to the disorganisation and lack of energy and information of the guide. I arrived and there was chaos at the bike shop - 35+ people and only 1 very stressed and grumpy person trying to enrol people and get them onto bikes. There were about 5 tour guides standing around not helping. Our tour guide was just Ok - she showed us the route and gave 1 or 2 facts about each monument but that was it. No energy and very very basic information - I was quite surprised as this is not what all the other bike tours I have been on have done - usually you get lots of cool stories (interestingly I overheard another tour guide from the same place but a different group and that is exactly what he was doing). Everyone on our group felt the same. Disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend.

Super fun way to see all of the major monuments and get your bearings in Washington DC. Allegra did a great job sharing the history and background of each monument and then leading us for short rides in between. We were even able to work in a bonus stop to see Einstein along the way!! Perfect for couples and families.

My brother and I are avid travelers, and part of our travel in different cities always include some type of electronic bike tour. This a bike tour was by far one of the best that we’ve participated in. Any tour is only as good as the guide. Our guide for the day was a elementary school teacher named Jack. His vast knowledge of the area and the monuments was incredible.

He provided insight and information that was truly informative and educational. My brother and I were so pleased with this tour and all the different monuments we were able to see. The bikes are easy to ride, and provided the ability to cover ground effortlessly. Jack took us to the most popular monuments, but we were also able to see sites that are not accessible by car.

I highly recommend this tour, it is a educational experience that you shouldn’t miss. If you’re in the Washington DC area, I highly suggest that you take this tour, and if he’s available ask for Jack.

There are more people than expected. Compared with hiking, there are fewer social requirements, which is very suitable for solo travel!
The tour guide Cate is very enthusiastic and cheerful. She will stop at each scenic spot to explain to us, and there are ten minutes of free time
The route is very good. Except for the last uphill section, it is flat road. The bicycle is also very smooth (probably better than ordinary bicycles, much lighter than shared bicycles). Recommended

This is a fantastic way to see all the major monuments and places around the city in a 3 hour window, learning about each on the way. Then you can decide if you want to go back and see any more in-depth. We rented the electric bikes which was fun, but not really necessary as the route is quite flat (a grandmother was on our tour with her grandson (9 years old). We enjoyed our tour guide Matt, is was informative and able to answer all our questions. Thank you!

We took our 12, 10, & 8 year old on this bike tour and they all had a blast! Our 8 year old had enough energy to make it the 3 hours riding solo by himself but they have bike trailers and kid bikes that attach to an adult bike if needed. Pace was leisurely and we were able to stop and go inside many of the monuments. Tour guide was well versed on history and had so many fun factoids to share about each monument and the area. We loved Joe! He was great! Only wish we had done this first as this tour is a great way to decide which museums and places you want to go investigate further.
