Make your own way to the Visitor Center at Joshua Tree National Park to meet your climbing guide.
Your sport climbing class covers everything you need to know in order to lead sport routes, all from the safety of a mock lead while on top rope. Learn about safety and fundamentals, rope management, finding and assessing routes, climbing movement for sport lead, how to lead belay, and communication and climbing vocabulary.
You must have prior roped-climbing experience, know how tie-in to a rope, and be able to belay on top-rope setting.
Your class is limited to six participants for more individualized attention. Expect some easy to moderate hiking, low or non-exiestent cell phone reception, and unpredictable weather conditions; bring clothing that is suitable for both warm and cold weather.
