    What to Expect
Talkeetna boasts skyscrapers of granite and ice instead of steel. Explore the wonders of Denali National Park on this 1.25-hour flightseeing tour. Check in at Talkeetna State Airport 30 minutes before your flight and board your plane seating a max of six passengers. (You may also schedule a complimentary transfer from your local hotel, inn, B&B, or rail depot.)
With a guaranteed window seat, you can sit back and relax as you enjoy the views. A two-way headset is provided so you can communicate with your pilot as he/she shares commentary along the way.
View the vertical rise of Denali starting at its base of around 2,000 feet (610 meters) to over 20,320 feet (6,194 meters). You’ll see the West Buttress Route of Denali, a popular place to climb, and the Kahiltna glacier system (two miles/three km wide and 45 miles/72 km long).
Then, fly east and take in the flowing river of the Ruth Glacier, the Sheldon Amphitheater (glacier landings often done here), and the Great Gorge with its mile-high granite walls. You’re looking at the world’s deepest gorge. Snap shots of the intensely blue meltwater pools that dot the glaciers.
During your flight, you’ll see Denali Mountain (20,320 ft/6194 meters), Mt Hunter (14,573 ft/4,442 meters)) and Mt Foraker (17,400 ft/5,304 meters), which tower above the other peaks of the Alaska Range, forming the northern horizon. Snap shots of Mount Frances, formally known as Bergchen, German slang for ‘Little mountain,’ and the North Buttress of Mount Hunter, a 4,000-foot climbing challenge.
Curious about the glaciers and want to set foot on one? Upgrade your flight package to include a landing on an actual glacier. Stand beneath the towering mountains in a tranquil world of snow and ice, before you’re taken back to the airport.

We weren't able to do the tour we wanted to do due to clouds and wind at the summit, but K2 did everything they could to get us on another tour. We weren't disappointed! Pilot was awesome and the views were, of course, breathtaking. Definitely...More

Exceeded my sky-high expectations (no pun intended). Very professional, provided updates about weather and conditions before the trip. Pilot was very informed and safety-oriented. Route was perfect and allowed both sides of the plane to see everything (sometimes flying in 'S' patterns to allow that)....More

K2 is a top-notch organization. The weather was bad on our originally scheduled tour date but they allowed us to move our flight to a different date of our choosing. The weather was much better on that date so we were able to do the...More

This was a spectacular experience! We were scheduled for the Grand Tour with glacier landing but had to step back to the Flyer tour (still with glacier landing) due to weather. It was not the least bit disappointing. We still flew up to the mountain...More

With the glacier landing I think you get more air time then what is advertised and plenty of time on the glacier. We landed on the glacier and were there long enough to walk around the aircraft and take pictures. We... More
