Our guide Tina (Tiana?) to Point Reigna and 90 mile Beach was excellent. She is such a hard worker, driving the bus, providing commentary, serving lunch, and keeping track of everyone. Our guide in Russell was excellent also. They both made the tour a lot of fun. We loved Urupukapuka Island on the Hole in the Rock cruise- we could have spent an entire day there. The tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds was beautiful and educational. Since our hotel was so close to the bus station, the taxi was unnecessary - in fact, upon return, we did not see the cab and walked back. To the driver’s credit, she followed up and attempted to locate us. In the future, maybe make taxi pickups optional. The motel choice was excellent - next to the water and outstanding room design and layout plus it was immaculately clean.

Saw all the marine mammals we were expecting to see. Excellent boat ride. Guide was great. Probably could have been advised that we could get breakfast in the train but that would be the only thing I would add.

Very pleasant day with Pete. He is friendly and good fun and the day was run at a good pace so that we could really enjoy all that we saw.

I really enjoyed every stop on this tour! The pick up process from the cruise ship terminal was simple and explained thoroughly. Our guide (Andrew I believe?) was knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. He told us about his and others’ experiences during the Christchurch earthquakes and explained the ongoing damages, renovations and changes still happening to this day. It was incredibly impactful and something that I’m really grateful to have learned about. I’m travelling solo and felt very accommodated for and comfortable throughout this tour. Highly recommend!

What an amazing adventure. The scenery was just incredible. The jet boats were an absolute blast too.

Joseph did a great job describing former and current city scape. He personalized the tour with his experience and insight. We feel very fortunate to have had this experience.

I seriously did not expect it to be so exotic. After visiting wine yards in Canada, Switzerland, Spain and Italy, Waipara wine trail was a heady mix of hospitality and diversity. Our tour guide Tania was humorous and chatty, who made the trip memorable.

Wonderful way to see a lot more of Christchurch and Akaroa. Lovely guide and the boat trip was fabulous at Akaroa

Arthur’s Pass trip was a fabulous day. The tour guide was fabulous and really tried to make the day great despite the rain. The trip home on the train was a highlight with fabulous views of the spectacular scenery. Was glad we did bus to pass and train home so we could enjoy a wine and beer on the train home. Would highly recommend.

This is one of the best wine tours I have participated in. We got to meet some of the owners & they shared their perspectives on what is important to them in creating unique wines & ports.

Akoroa is beautiful and the drive very scenic. The visit to the cheese factory was a waste of time as no information was provided by the guide outlining its history/significance to the region nor was there a rep in the shop to talk about what was happening. Unfortunately the rest of the road trip was similar, ie no detail or history shared. We were dropped off and then back on the bus. By contrast the boat trip was excellent and that guide was extremely well informed.

Our driver Graham did an amazing job driving us through the 150 km/h winds - certainly a trip we won’t forget! A great selection of local wines to be sampled and a delicious platter lunch at Waipara Springs.

Wonderful experience! Great tour guide, good food and beautiful vineyards. Enjoyed others on tour. Would definitely highly recommend.

We went on the Waipara Wine Trail with Leisure Tours end of September 2023. Joseph was a great guide, lots of knowledge about Christchurch and the local farming areas around Christchurch. The trip to the wineries was excellent (great lunch platter) - showcasing the experience and knowledge of the winemakers. Well worth it, highly recommend.
