Hill of Crosses tour from Riga
From the perspective of a couple of Aussies, well worth the trip. When else are you going to experience something like this? The transport was clean and fit-for-purpose. Our guide, Janis was great fun. On time. Courteous and well informed. Really enjoyed this one!

3 Destinations and 2 Countries in 1 day!
What a fantastic day lead by our brilliant guide and driver Janis! All 3 destinations were amazing, we were impressed with Rundale Palace, we even got to stop for selfies at the border! Janis gave us not only information regarding our destinations but also a comprehensive insight into Latvian history and culture. Would highly recommended this tour.

      Good view and friendly driver
The driver was very friendly and the view was very good. But I just wanted to know the case when we joined the tour with kid in advance.

Excellent tour through 2 countries: Latvia🇱🇻 and Lituhania🇱🇹, with the Crosses✝️ as the ultimate goal. Beautiful surrondings, villages and palaces. It was a privelege to be driven and guided by Latvian Gem colleague Janis. Many thanks, Joost from The Netherlands🇳🇱.

      Hills of crosses Tour
Fabulous little half day tour. Easy pick Up, nice mini bus with phone charger and tinted windows. Knowledgeable driver with English spoken throughout. Some good photo opportunity stops… would definitely recommend.

      Nice day trip from Riga
Very comprehensive itinerary and lovely and friendly guide. It’s a small van, so not a large group and we beat up our schedule pretty much every large bus with tourists after us. The Rundale palace is stunning definitely worth visiting . Same with Bauska and the hill of crosses is definitely an interesting place. Overall nice experience and a good way of ticking 2 countries in one day. It’s not such a long day either we were back by 5pm.

      Hill of crosses
A bit of a depressing and crumbling place. Definitely a meaningful place for deeply religious people. Rather not for visiting with with fickle children.

Value for money. Great tour guide and beautiful sights
Great day trip with our amazing tour guide, Janis! We were only three people on the trip, so we talked a lot about the Latvian culture, country and history, and Janis kindly shared his deep knowledge of everything. He even made an extra stop at Jelgava castle, as it was just on the way, as he said. I took the trip with my 14 year old daughter, and we both enjoyed the trip, the sights and the company. When we talked about the Riga Black Balsam, and heard that we have never tried it, he actually pulled over on a bus top and took out a bottle and served us a little taste of the “black gold”. Highly recommendable tour and tour guide!

Wonderful addition to our Riga trip.
Our guide was wonderful and made the trip really enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable and provided fun facts throughout the trip. The Hill of Crosses is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Riga, the car journey was a couple of hours but the Latvian and Lithuanian countryside was just stunning. We were back in Riga early afternoon so we still had time to explore the city. We had plenty of bathroom stops on the journey and a chance to pick up some food for the ride.

Hill of crosses..is a must visit.
Thank you Krista for the wonderful experience. Hill of crosses is very special. It's a pilgrimage that gave me goosebumps. When you visit this place it will made you remember those loved ones you've lost. The other 2 castles were worth visiting too. Thank you Krista for the memorable trip.

Our adventure from Riga to Kemeri National Park was spectacular. Erlens collected us and we took a comfortable drive to the park, chatting about a full range of topics on the way. It was just two of us with Erlens we we felt we got a really amazing experience.

We arrived and took off on the 3.7km walk on the wooden walkway through the beautiful landscape and there was hardly another person in sight. We climbed the lookout tower and watched as the sun dipped into the horizon over this beautiful natural landscape.

Erlens was the perfect guide for this superb tour. Talking to us about the amazing national park, but also more broadly about life and travel.

    We highly recommend this experience!!!

Krista is just an amazing tour guide. From the very beginning you feel like you're with a friend.
As we flew to Riga in the morning we could only opt for the sunset tour and I'm so glad we did that.
Our pick up was approximately around 4 from Riga, then we drove through Jurmala to reach the bogs just before sunset.
It's one of the best things you can do in Latvia.

After doing the hill of crosses and rundale palace tour I booked last minute to go on this tour too! Krista was amazing and gave us lots of information about the beach and the bog and provided the much needed mosquito spray! Fantastic trip if you are wanting to experience the beach and obtain some Instagram photos and very good value ☺️

What a great tour. You will see something of the surroundings, get a lot of information from the Guide, visit the beach and visit a beautiful nature reserve. Beautiful low moorland with many lakes through which you walk on a narrow path to a watchtower. Enjoying the evening light.

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The car ride was pleasant, the beach in Jurmala beautiful and the boardwalk at Kemeri National Park breathtaking. Thr additional information on flora and fauna provided by our guide was very much appreciated. I would definitely go on this tour again!

Such an amazing experience! The national park was beautiful especially at sunset. Krista, was a fantastic tour guide, so much fun and knowedgeable. Getting to see both the bog and the beach close to sunset was stunning. I couldn't recommend more, an absolute high of the trip and a must see!

We can highly recommend the tour, we had such a great time with our guide Krista.
She showed us many beautiful spots in Jurmala before we headed over to Kemeri National Park. The park speaks for itself - just incredible and definetely a must see. We have never been to a place like this before.
Many thanks, Krista. You are such a gem!!

I had the most incredible time with Krista. She was so lovely and fun to be around and provided so much information on the tour, including about Riga. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. She was also super helpful and made sure everyone had a great time - and took fabulous photos!

The tour itself was excellent, and definitely the highlight of my week long trip. The bog is beautiful and even more stunning at sunset. I couldn’t suggest it anymore. It was an amazing experience.

The beach is also gorgeous and I thought it was great of Krista to ask whether I’d be taking a dip so she could calculate the timing for the sunset at Kemeri.
