          The highlight of my trip
I had the most incredible time with Krista. She was so lovely and fun to be around and provided so much information on the tour, including about Riga. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. She was also super helpful and made sure everyone had a great time - and took fabulous photos! The tour itself was excellent, and definitely the highlight of my week long trip. The bog is beautiful and even more stunning at sunset. I couldn’t suggest it anymore. It was an amazing experience. The beach is also gorgeous and I thought it was great of Krista to ask whether I’d be taking a dip so she could calculate the timing for the sunset at Kemeri.

Fantastic, Outstanding Tour of Two Baltic Countries
Outstanding tour. We drove through the beautiful countryside and visited castles of two countries in a very comfortable minivan. Krista, our guide and native of Latvia, knows the history of the Baltic countries, especially Latvia and Lithuania. She knows the culture of the Baltic countries, and understands the current challenges of modern Europe.

Totally recommend this trip with Latvian Gem!
This is a great way to venture out from the city of Riga. The communication from Krista and the Latvian Gem team was excellent. Our guide for the day was Janis who was fun but also very knowledgeable. He had lots of interesting facts and stories to tell which was all informative and entertaining. The day was relaxed, comfortable and not rushed. We were also blessed with a great weather!

          Unique and interesting tour.
Such a wonderful trip. The Hill of Crosses is such a peaceful and hopeful place. There was so much to learn about Lithuania. It's a long day but so worth it. Krista was an incredible tour guide, and a lovely person. I highly recommend this tour.

          Beautiful at sunset!
Such an amazing experience! The national park was beautiful especially at sunset. Krista, was a fantastic tour guide, so much fun and knowedgeable. Getting to see both the bog and the beach close to sunset was stunning. I couldn't recommend more, an absolute high of the trip and a must see!

Great way to see more than just Lativa while in Riga
What a wonderful day! Our guide was Janis and he was entertaining as well as informative. Lots of little inside information and history on the way. There was plenty of time at each site to not feel rushed We appreciated the stop to get pictures of the border between Latvia and Lithuania. The van was comfortable and the small group made the tour more fun. Definitely recommend this company and this guide.

          Fantastic Tour! 🌞
After doing the hill of crosses and rundale palace tour I booked last minute to go on this tour too! Krista was amazing and gave us lots of information about the beach and the bog and provided the much needed mosquito spray! Fantastic trip if you are wanting to experience the beach and obtain some Instagram photos and very good value ☺️

          Fantastic trip would recommend
I had an amazing time on this tour as a solo traveler. Everything was well organised and as there was only a few of us there was no rush and we could go at own pace. Krista was amazing and gave some amazing facts about Latvia and Lithuania en route as well as a much needed bottle of water and snacks.

          Incredible experience!
Had an incredible trip with the very knowledgeable tourguide Jãnis. He introduced us to local snacks and drinks, and served funfacts about every notable nook and cranny from Riga to Lithuania. Every stop was something new and exciting - including a few unlisted stops along the way. Would heavily recommend to visit the monks at the Hill of the Cross monastery. Was wary of the price prior to ordering, but was worth every euro. A prefect option for those who'd like to see more of Latvias countryside.

Excellent day trip with a wonderful guide - not to be missed
An excellent trip providing an insight into Latvia beyond Riga. Our guide Krista was so informative and her communication was excellent from the time of my first enquiry through to the day of our trip. We visited Bauska Castle, the beautiful Rundale Palace and the very intriguing Hill of Crosses and had ample time at each location and Krista also facilitated a photo stop at the Latvia / Lithuania border markers. We really enjoyed the day and the conversation with Krista during our journey there and back. If we had more time I would have booked another day out with Krista so we will just have to come back another time. Dont miss out on this great trip.

This was a great day. Our guide was informative and happy to answer questions not only in relation to the trip but general questions about Latvia and people thar live there. The hill of crosses was a thought provoking experience, people coming together as it should be.

          Excellent 2 countries trip
Excellent trip to 2 countries! Very well organised, we had plenty of time at each location. Our tour guide was engaging and we received a complimentary snack which was well received. He was knowledgable on both countries and the locations we visited. Would definitely recommend.

Don't take the train!....but if you do, be aware that there are no people (the station is unmanned) and no information about getting to Kemeri National Park/Bog Trail. There is a road sign across the street from the station that shows which direction to walk--which is opposite the direction for the tourist information center. And, despite advice to the contrary, there is no bicycle concession at the train station.

If I'd had a bike or a car, it would have been a better trip. Walking from the train station to Kemeri, around the shorter loop and back to the train station was 10 kilometers (6 miles).

        Take bug spray!

Hi, We appreciate you leaving a review advising people on better ways to get to the bog. These kind of suggestions we're all looking for when traveling! :) However, please know that you've added a bad (low star) review on a guided travel agency tour, where we provide a guide, private transportation and hotel pick up/drop off. Thus this review is not relevant to our tour at all. We kindly ask you to remove the review - it can be confusing for our clients as it states incorrect information about the tour we provide. In the meantime, if there is anything we can help you with, please do not hesitate reaching out to us! We're always happy to help! Best wishes, Krista

This was a perfect day from start to finish. Krista is the most loveliest guide and host you could imagine. I enjoyed it so much and had so much fun, good conversation and some laughs too! We were lucky it was an amazing sunrise but this place would be magical no matter what the weather was. A visit to Kemeri National Park is a must and Krista is full of knowledge on both the park and Latvia in general. I learned so much. If I could give this six stars I would! Thank you again Krista!

It was just a perfect start into the day! The highlight of this trip was clearly to enjoy a wonderful sunrise and two rainbows in silence only with Krista.
She was the perfect tour guide. She is such a lovely and funny Person and knows a lot of details. We had a good time together. It felt like a trip with a good friend.
. You can see, that it's very important for her to make this a perfect trip
        for you.
She also gave me a lot of tips and recommandation for the rest of my weekend in Riga even after our trip to Kemeri. Thank you Krista :)

The view in the morning is truly stunning. Don't be stopped from booking because it might be foggy, that actually looks even more amazing!

Our guide Vilnis was funny and nice, we had a good time on the tour. As a professional photographer he took some pictures (including of us) that he later edited and shared with us, which was so kind! Thank you again for that!

Eventhough we were hoping to learn a bit more about the Kemeri park itself, Vilnis could tell us a lot about Latvia and its people, which was really interesting.

Do this tour. The bog is a uniquely beautiful place and made even more so during the sunrise. We were lucky enough to have a really still morning with some fog and a really clear sky. The sunrise was beautiful and we had some amazing views. We also did an early morning swim on the beach which was refreshing and also really beautiful and peaceful. The tour guide we had krista was amazing , had the perfect amount of knowledge but was never boring , really funny and personable. The drive through jurmala and kemeri were very interesting and entertaining. Krista gave us great information and recommendations of things to do in riga. Probably the best tour guide we've ever had.

The tour was really a unique experience. Kemeri National Park was simply an absolute highlight. Unfortunately, we did not have optimal weather that day, but that did not diminish the fascination of the place. Vilnis made our day even more beautiful with his expertise and friendly manner.

I can recommend the tour to everyone, if he is a friend of nature and likes to hike. Simply wonderful!

Myself and my mother cannot thank Krista enough for her warm hospitality and knowledge on our trip to Kemeri & other hotspots. Nothing was ever a problem and this trip is fantastic for families, groups and couples. Krista is a fantastic guide and has a wealth of knowledge. We had mentioned a place we had researched for lunch and Krista just suggested she would drop us off there on the way back. Overall fantastic trip! Thank you for an amazing day

This was such a incredible tour and I would recommend to anyone visiting Riga. Krista was a lovely guide and full of information and very chatty, which was nice as I was travelling by myself. The scenery was beautiful and although we didn’t see the sunrise because of the clouds, it was still stunning. If I came back to Riga this is the first thing I would book - I would love to see the bog again at a different point in the year.
