About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ozgalgreen0 contributionsHighly recommendedI'm really pleased I chose Juhan's half-day hiking tour while I'm in Tallinn. He picked me up from my hotel and went ahead even though I was his only guest - lucky me, it really was a personal/private tour. During our drive to the park, Juhan shared his extensive knowledge of Estonia's complex history and calmly answered all my questions. It's a fabulous bonus that he was videoing and taking photos during our time and I'll be receiving a video memento of my experience in a couple of days - I've never had this offered before. I hope the Estonian tourism industry picks up - Juhan deserves to be busy all year round; highly recommended.Written November 10, 2024
- MBear5480 contributionsGreat TourReally enjoyed our tour with Juhan. He was professional, knowledgeable, punctual, down-to-earth and open to various questions about his beautiful and vibrant country. He shared details of his personal history growing up in the area which we greatly appreciated. The hike was beautiful as was the trip to a waterfall. We only came across locals on our hike which was just what I was hoping for. It was peaceful and not crowded at all. Thanks Juhan!Written September 23, 2024
- jones_helena0 contributionsTake a great overview of Estonia :)I had a great experience with the Private tours, hosted by Juhan, very polite, accommodating person. The group is small and I loved to hear the Estonia’s history from Juhan’s words. Hiking in a park like a local, at a easy pace having time to take great photos and appreciated the beauty views of the lakes, trees, feeling the fresh air ! It was awesome ! … going to the top of the lighthouse, it was something that I’ve never done before, and it was incredible! I truly loved these tours, it was good to see more than the old town :) Thank you Juhan ! Thank you Juhan !Written September 10, 2024
- jbg740 contributionsExcellent Day Trip From TallinnJuhan spoke good English and had a comfortable car. He is a very knowledgeable guide. We had a great time visiting Sillamae and Narva in addition to a few other stops. This was the best day trip we did in Estonia. I highly recommend it. The fortress and river walk at Narva are really cool and you get to see the Ivanograd fortress across the river too. Sillamae was a former secret Soviet city and has some cool 1950s Soviet architecture.Written September 8, 2024
- albacore0 contributionsBeautiful hikeJugan met us promptly at our hotel. We went to a nature preserve outside of the city. He gave us a concise history of the country. His English was excellent. The hike was easy to moderate, with a fine mixture of ecosystems. We also went to the waterfall, which was not worth a visit unless you are in the area anyway. I enjoyed the hike and would recommend it.Written September 2, 2024
- Pickleball650 contributionsOur trip to NarvaWe went with a private driver. He had a wealth of knowledge to share with us. We went to castle and could see castle on Russian side also. We Drove around and saw alot of history left behind . It was very eye opening . If you like history , then this is for you. It is not a touristy type of trip.Written August 25, 2024
- pedroc3840 contributionsHighly recommend, escape outside Tallinn!Amazing hiking trip with Juhan, he grew up using this part of Estonia as his backyard, he knows the place very well and has very interesting historical facts to share. Very highly recommend!Written July 27, 2024
- saraheH5967TW0 contributionsNature awesomenessExcellent. Loved the nature. No matter the weather. Best thing to do when you want to see more than just the city and are traveling solo without a vehicle. ♥️Written July 12, 2024
- AiraK80 contributionsA day trip to NarvaWe had a very nice and interesting private 1-day tour with Juhan in Narva, Narva-Jõesuu and Sillamäe. The communication before the trip was fast and easy, the tour was adjusted according our wishes.Written July 9, 2024
- lucysungminl0 contributionsTrip to the east side of EstoniaI highly recommend this tour if you want to experience Estonia outside of Tallinn. You get to see a lot in the east side of the country, and you will visit everything which is shown in the itinerary. We loved all the cities we visited, Rakvere, Sillamae, and Narva. Our favorite was definitely the city of 'Narva', located very close to the border between Estonia and Russia. Juhan is very chill and he will answer to every questions you have about Estonian culture, history and people. If you are still hesitating whether you should take this tour or not, go for it! It is very very worth it. :)Written June 2, 2024
- Shell_Belle_Shell0 contributionsYou MUST do this tour!!!Juhan is an amazing tour guide and this tour was the highlight of our time in Estonia. We really enjoyed our special tour of the Kreenholm textile factory and seeing how close it is to Russia. Juhan is a safe driver and we felt completely comfortable the entire time. He even played us Estonian Eurovision tunes when we told him we loved Eurovision. This tour and Juhan come HIGHLY recommended. We can’t thank him enough!Written April 21, 2024
- 257kieranw0 contributionsOne of the best aspects of our holidayCan't recommend this trip enough was one of the best aspects of our holiday. We considered looking at other ways to get out of city and see more of Nature in Estonia but very glad we went with this tour. Was good value for money, took all the stress and hassle out of looking for the best places to walk and see, It was incredibly picturesque (trees/lakes/waterfalls.) There was easy pick up and drop off and the timings worked really well for us, didn't feel rushed, not too short or long and back at a reasonable time allowing us to fit in our evening plans. It was also of great added value hearing about the history/flora and fauna/Estonian culture as we went along!Written April 15, 2024
- Sightseer205949428460 contributionsBeautiful nature! It was a great experience in the esthonian nature with nice views and memorable landscapes. We enjoyed Juhans company and all the information he gave us. Thanks a lot!Written March 2, 2024
- 320lianab0 contributionsStunning winter hikeJuhan took us on a fantastic tour of the Estonian forest, and the (now frozen) Jägala waterfall, despite the -15°C weather conditions. The views were stunning and he was very knowledgeable, giving us an Estonian history lesson and lots of information on the nature we were experiencing.Written January 14, 2024
- J7789WBelisabethv0 contributionsTime outside of TalinnIt's been a great time outside of Talinn in the resort. An easy day-trip from Tallinn is an all-day drive from Tallinn west to Haapsalu. And a great way to do it is with Juhan as your guide. He is an excellent host with in-depth knowledge about almost everything Estonian - history, culture, nature, etc. The tour is the “Go West – Private 1 Day Trip to West Coast”.
Highlights include a visit to Haapsalu town, Haapsalu Castle, the Haapsalu Promenade (a pretty stretch of waterfront), and stops (either on the way to Haapsalu or on the way back to Tallinn) at Noarootsi Peninsula and Nõva Nature Reserve, the 1731 Nova wooden church, 14th century Padise Abbey, Paldiski and Pakri Peninsula and lighthouse, Spithami Lighthouse, and Keila Waterfall. Haapsalu is full of lovely old and photogenic wooden houses and shops. Along the drive you'll see quite a few old Soviet military installations.
On the particular day we were in Haapsalu, the town was hosting its annual “American Beauty Car Show”. Hundreds of classic American cars on display and driving all around town. A great bonus to a wonderful five-star day, led by Juhan.

I really enjoyed this trip. Juhan is a very thoughtful guide and always cared about our needs during the trip, even if we wanted to alter the trip during the day. He possesses a wide knowledge of his country customs and culture, always with an answer to all my questions.
The trip was very well planed with so many things to do and see packed into one day, and good historical introductions to every part of the trip. We visited a lovely little town on the coast with a marvelous castle, visited a beach where I had my first bath at the baltic sea, and went to a fascinating lighthouse.
I now think to have a very better idea of the country, I really recommend to other travelers to visit more places other than Tallinn. The van/car used was really spacious and comfy. I can really recommend this company as it offers good value.

This was an amazing tour to the western coasts of Estonia. We have visited small town Haapsalu, saw medieval castle and had delicious lunch in cafe with cozy warm atmosphere. Next stops were Poosaspea peninsula and Perakula beach.
Juhan kindly provided us historical background of the region. Then we visited Paldiski, Pakri lighthouse and Keila waterfall. I've very much enjoyed the trip, this was definitely worth to attend. I have learned and saw a lot of new and interesting things, amazed by beautiful forests and sea.

I had a great day with this tour and I am thankful to Juhan, our very talented guide. He was very intelligent and told about the history of the city Haapsalu. Car was very comfortable and air-conditioned so I definitely enjoyed it. The duration of the trip was just the right amount as I was getting tired at the end. It is definitely worth to visit the west coast of Estonia as they are so many to see and thanks to Juhan, we managed to see all the beautiful places there.
