      Worst company ever
The worst company, I would never recommend working with them. Very rude and disrespectful to foreigners. Can't communicate in English with letters.

      Not disappointed just crosses
Combined fabulous driver and informative guide Andrius an interesting side trip to the Partisan Memorial Park (a memento cross for Ronald Reagan!) the Hill of Crosses itself not very high or far to work an extraordinary experience that will linger in the mind for ages Pope John Paul II (“half my heart belongs to Lithuania”) really put on the map this collective expression of homeland, artistic expression and religious resistance to oppression. Definitely worth the journey.

      Had a wonderful time
Thank you for the tour. I didn’t have a background of Christian history so the guide helped me understand the background. The guide also introduced us to the restaurant where we can have a delicious Cepelinai.

Faith and defiance in the face of oppression. Inspiring!
The trip was fascinating! We learnt so much about the history of Lithuania from our guide, Adam. The day was well planned, with regular breaks and plenty of time to enjoy the sights. The only problem was the cramped transport (personal car), which for a full-day trip was inappropriate.

      Discover Lithuania - Excellent
I used Discover Lithuania for transportation to and from the airport as well as the Hill of Crosses tour. Adam was the guide for each of these excursions, and he was personable, professional, and fun to be around. It snowed the day of the Hill of Crosses tour, yet Adam navigated the heavy traffic and uncertain conditions with patience, and a sense of humor. I had a very early flight on my last day, and Adam provided me with a couple of breakfast bars, as he knew it was too early to get breakfast at the hotel. What a classy and considerate move by Adam. I highly recommend Adam and Discover Lithuania.

Boring tour and rough tour guide!
We were told that the meeting point on the day was the bus stop next to the bell tower, but intact, it should be the opposite of the bell tower, I think this is very misleading. When we tried to point out this, the driver guide's behaviour was rough and brash! The whole tour he was showing of rashness, he doesn't show any interest in what he's doing. It seems like he didn't enjoy the job and just wanted to rush off.

      A UNIQUE SIGHT TO BEHOLD
More than 100,000 crucifixes on this hill. A sight to behold- unique attraction with crosses of different sizes, designs, material (about >2 centuries) . A Catholic Pilgrimage site. About 2.5 hrs from Vilnius. . Apparently, there’s lot of history from war & uprising for hundreds of years. I had goosebumps as I walked through thousands of these crucifixes.

      Great Tour Company
We booked two private tours with Discover Lithuania -- the Riga to Vilnius sightseeing transfer and the Paneriai Memorial Park, Trakai Castle and Kaunas Tour. Reda, who handled our bookings, always promptly replied to our email queries and the booking process was quick and easy. The prices were very competitive. The tour logistics were flawless. We were picked up and dropped off on time. The cars were clean and comfortable. The best part were our guides. Andrius and Adam were wonderful guides, completely fluent in English, knowledgeable about history, politics, flora and fauna and fun to be with. You can't go wrong booking with Discover Lithuania.

      Excellent
Super comfortable way to get from Vilnius to Riga—with stops on the way that make it more interesting. Driver was great, the program was enjoyable... Couldn't have thought of a better way to travel between the two capitals!

      Sobering experience
Firstly I would like to thank Adam for being a wonderful guide and a true gentleman. The hill of crosses is a sobering experience, nothing like it. Well worth the visit. Also stopped off in a memorial park dedicated to a founder of lithuanian freedom.

      A great one-way day tour!
We had a great time on this tour. Adamas was a very calm and safe driver and even gave us little introductions to the sights that we were visiting. Everything was planned out perfectly and everyone was taken care of. Thanks very much.

      Truly incredible Hill of Crosses
This is such a unique magical place! Just incredible. The Hill of Crosses was our main reason for our trip to Lithuania. It didn’t disappoint. It exceeded our expectations. I can’t recommend a visit here enough.

Recommend, even on a rainy day
Despite a very wet and rainy day, we enjoyed our tour with Adam very much. He's a wonderful tour host and did a great job explaining the history behind the Jewish quarter of Vilnius, the memorial, and Trakai Castle.

I did this day tour from Vilnius to Riga in July 2019. The tour included stops at Hill of the Crosses in Lithuania, along with Rundale Palace and Bauska Castle in Latvia.

After I originally scheduled this as a group tour, the tour company, Discover Lithuania, contacted me three days prior to the tour and asked whether I'd be OK with starting the tour later than the original start time and also doing it as a private tour. I appreciated them consulting me in advance about the schedule change, and I agreed to do it as a private tour.

My guide for the tour was Andrius, who drove me to each site and explained the history of Lithuania, Latvia, and the Baltic region in great and very impressive detail both at each stop and in between stops. His knowledge and command of history and culture was outstanding. Andrius put a great deal of effort into explaining the history of each site and its cultural significance in Lithuania/Latvia. The tour also included a stop at a traditional Lithuanian restaurant, where I ate dumplings for lunch (but could not finish them because the portions were very large and filling!)

Hill of Crosses may be interesting not only to religious people (especially practicing Roman Catholics) but also to people who are interested in learning more about the resistance of the Lithuanian people to the Soviet occupation of the country. Rundale Palace is quite beautiful. The site dates back to the early 18th Century and offers both self-guided and guided tours and includes a stunning garden unlike anything I've ever seen before. Bauska Castle is also an interesting site as a fortress along what was the main route of trade between Riga and Vilnius.

I highly recommend this tour for people who are interested in a more detailed and thorough understanding of Lithuanian and Latvian culture and history. I also commend this company for consulting me in advance about the schedule change and for not charging me the higher price for changing to a private tour - this is an indication of a reputable, honest company. This tour is also a much more interesting way of travelling from Vilnius to Riga than simply taking a bus directly. If you are planning to travel between the two cities and want to learn more about the history and culture of these countries, book this tour, and request Andrius as your guide. You will not be disappointed!

It is a very good option not just to travel from Lithuania to Latvia, but also the opportunities to visit attractions - the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Bauska Castle. It is recommended to those who would like to travel from Vilnius to Rega and at the same time wish to visit the place of interest along the journey.

Our guide Domas was very pleasant and knowledgeable without being overbearing. We had a very nice day, but a very long day. We did not realize it was such a long ride to Riga and, in fact, had to cancel on Bauska Castle as it was getting so late in the day. As it was, we did not gat to Riga till after dark. Nevertheless, we were very pleased with the visit to Hill of Crosses and Rundale Palace, both moving experiences.

This is a unique mound covered and surrounded by over 200,000 crosses. Different but not particularly interesting to us. Worth a stop if you’re interested.

Hi Drgole, Thank you for your time and impression about the Hill of Crosses. One calls the Hill of Crosses weird another named it as spectacular, but mostly all agree that this place is really unique and worth a stop. Thank you once again and till the next time!
