- 1They say that the shortest way to get to know a country and its people is the way to the local market. That’s why we invite you to short, yet unforgettable visit to the oldest market in Vilnius – Hales turgus! Prepare your tongue, nose and belly for a dance of the most enticing smells and flavors. Each season Hales turgus has its own face; each time it can offer you something special. But be sure that one thing never changes – everything you’ll find here is always made by locals and always made with love. You’ll visit 4 or 5 different places. Begin in the Juice Bar, which has been operating for nine years and is very popular among market visitors. Try a delicious fruit or vegetable cocktail and go straight to “Roots” where you’ll find the largest selection of Lithuanian handcrafted cheese in all country. Keep in mind, that all products are created according to authentic recipes and tastes cherished by Lithuanian farmers.

- mariusmA8936HW0 contributionsGood tripAlright, so I signed up for this walking tour kinda on a whim—figured I should actually learn something instead of just aimlessly wandering around Vilnius. Turns out, it was a solid move. First off, the guide was a legend. Super chill, knew his stuff, and actually made history interesting instead of just throwing out dates and names no one remembers. Plus, he had some funny stories about the city, which kept things light. Old Town itself? Straight-up beautiful. Like, every corner looks like it belongs on a postcard. The mix of medieval, baroque, and Gothic buildings is crazy, and there are a ton of hidden details you wouldn’t notice if you weren’t with someone who knows the cityWritten February 13, 2025

- Victoria S0 contributionsFantastic, Extremely Knowledgable TourWe had a fantastic time on this tour! Viktorija was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and was such a friendly guide. We learned a lot about the main sites in Vilnius and Uzupis, as well as the history of Lithuania in general. What a wonderful way to get to know a bit more about the city and country. I can’t recommend this tour enough - we had a fantastic time!Written December 18, 2022
- Julie P0 contributionsChoose Travel Addicts! they are amazing….We had rhe most amazing experience with Travel Addicts in our tour of the Baltic states. - FilipMoons0 contributionsWonderful holiday in the Baltics! We had a wonderful holiday in the Baltics organized by Travel Addicts. The program was very variated: we visited all the capital cities, but also other, less known spots in each country where you could go for lovely, organized walks and discover nature. Also, you wouldn't visit most of those beautiful places if you would go yourself. We recommend it to everyone; you really get a nice overview of the Baltic States during these two weeks for an affordable price.Written August 30, 2021
- Paul M0 contributionsVery interesting science experienceThe trip was very well organised, fascinating tour around the nuclear power plant, and also seemed very safe. The guides, both inside and outside the plant were interesting and well informed,Written January 15, 2020
- Chi_Alex20 contributionsThoroughly interesting! The tour started bright and early at 6am, when myself and a fellow traveller were picked up by our driver Pavel. Pavel was a great guide for the day, he told us alot about the history of not only Vilnius and its surroundings, but also the small towns and villages we passed through on the way to Ignalina NPP. On the way back, he took us the scenic route through the lake country, which was an unexpected surprise. As for the plant, the visit is conducted by an employee of the NPP and is really interesting. After passing through security you change into two layers of clothing to protect against any residual radiation. The NPP guide then takes you to the reactor hall of rector number 2, via a long central corridor. The reactor itself is an RMBK model, the same one that exploded at Chernobyl in 1986. You can stand on the reactor and I had the chance to peer into the spent fuel pools (don't worry, water absorbs any radiation, infact you could swim on the surface and you'd be safe). After visiting the reactor hall, you visit the control room, where its functions are explained, before a visit to the turbine hall, which is in the process of being disassembled. You cannot take pictures, but the guide will take photos for you. A cheap cafe is on site which made good local food. A visit to the workers town of Visaginas followed with Pavel. All-in-all a good day and an interesting experience. Would recommend this tour, with Lina particularly helpful in arranging it.Written October 22, 2019
