- Explorer7939700 contributionsGreat trip, worth the money! We loved this tour. We learned a lot of historical information about the city of Bratislava and were able to see a lot of things in a short amount of time. It helped wrap our minds around the city so we knew where things were. We were given time at the castle to look around and enjoy the fantastic view. This city is amazing and this was a great way to see it. The tour lasted about an hour.Written January 3, 2025
- a-g21370 contributionsSightseeing in comfortThe tour was a great value introduction to the history of Bratislava. We had a 20 minute stop at the Castle to see the courtyard and garden and see the panoramic view of Bratislava and the DanubeWritten December 17, 2024

- W8741KZmichalh0 contributionsreviewGreat experience, especially for tourists who are interested in the history of the city: you can see all the important and interesting places (during ride) in the center of Bratislava plus audio explaining you everything (available in cca 20 languages). Very friendly staff willing to help you. I would recommend this tour for the first day of your trip so that you can then enjoy other places which you will see during the ride. :)Written August 21, 2024

- villainsmum0 contributionsGreat day out!We booked this tour on my husband's birthday as a special treat. The booking process was very simple and we were sent instructions on where to go including photographs. When we arrived there was nobody around and we were mildly worried as we were about 10 mins outside Bratislava without a car. Then, from nowhere four boats appeared zooming down the river. There was music booming and what seemed like a hen party on board with lots of girls screaming and my heart sank a bit further. Had I got it wrong? Would my husband hate it? We got onto the boat and a smart young man got on with an older gentleman. It turns out that they tailor each trip to the needs and wants of each group. If you want loud and party, they will do this. For us, we wanted to know about the sites, sounds and history and they were so knowledgeable and informative and delightful company. We stopped at Devin Castle where they cracked open a bottle of prosecco and we sipped in the sunshine. I highly recommend this company as they immediately tailored the tour to what we wanted and left us wanting more. Brilliant service, lovely people, well done!Written July 16, 2024
- stephens4730 contributionsGreat ValueSuch good value , we had a brilliant tour covering a wide area in Bratislava , the Castle , Upside down Pyramid , castle walls , Presidential Palace etc. The commentary was very informative and not too wordy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the tour.Written July 5, 2024

- Presto670 contributionsGreat way to see the capital of SlovakiaTook a day trip to Bratislava from Budapest. If you have only a day or maybe more, then getting on the Old Town touring bus is a great way to see all of the top spots Bratislava has to offer. We did the panoramic tour for 95 minutes and this was great. The bus stops at two location for 15 to 20 minutes to spend some time at the sites.Written September 20, 2023

- JCTOURIST990 contributionsOLD TOWN TOUR (with panorama)Absolutely excellent! Comfortable, concise, and very reasonably priced. The people in charge patiently explained the different tours and prices. The 2-hour panoramic + old town for 30€ per person was a bargain, IMHO. The two stops were perfectly timed, and the recorded guide was interesting and knowledgeable.Written August 10, 2023

The tour covered a good variety of areas of the city. Everything ran on time with a running commentary via headphones in many languages. I'd give this tour a 100% mark. The 2 places they stopped at were well worth it for the amazing views.

We had only one day in Bratislava and wanted to see the major sights quickly. This was the perfect choice for us. We booked our ticket through our hotel concierge, but could just as easily bought it on the street (same price) from a truly helpful young man named Sebastian who spoke perfect English. Sebastian was helpful, friendly, and gave us other travel suggestions while we waited for our bus.
Be aware that the bus driver does not speak English, so you must depend on the information and instructions provided through the headphones. When the bus pauses at places to give you an opportunity to take photos, you need to be ready. The bus stops at two locations to allow you an opportunity to get out and quickly see these two sights: the Slavin Memorial, and the Bratislava Castle. Both involve a lot of walking quickly, and at the Slavin Memorial a lot of stair climbing. If you really hurry you can see what is there, but you won't have time to dawdle, and no time for WC breaks, so be sure you go before you get on the bus.

This is a perfect way to explore the city, also when you are lazy like myself. Most of the time, you are seated in a really comfortable red tourist bus/train called Oldtimer. They will drive you around the city to show you everything, from the iconic landmarks to hidden gems. Shot breaks at Bratislava Castle and at a soviet style monument were also included. If you want to find out more, you'll get earphones and you can pick your language. I was amazed how many languages were available. They also had Esperanto. Wow. That was the biggest surprise for me. Everything was well organized, easy to buy tickets. Staff was fabulous, friendly and tried to accommodate every need. Highly recommended.

The tour gave a good overview of the area……however whether it was worth €20pp is debatable.
It lasts 95 mins…with 2 stops Slavín World war memorial 15 mins…ample time…20 min stop at the Castle, more than ample…
Apart from the Castle & Slavín War memorial everything else we managed to cover easily on foot the following day, which allowed more time for better photo opportunities.
The commentary provided on individual headphones (hygienically sealed) worked well & provided an insight into Bratislavas’ history.
Little interaction with the driver as not necessary, however all staff we encountered were pleasant & friendly.
In summary, if you have mobility issues or short on time this may be for you…

Ten of us stopped in Bratislava while on our way from Salzburg to Budapest. We were only in Bratislava for a few hours and wanted to see as much as possible. We weren't familiar with the area. But Viking was offering an optional excursion to Bratislava so we thought we would see it on our way to Budapest. I had arranged a private Panoramic tour by Presporacik vehicle several months before. Our first driver who took us to Bratislava Castle spoke minimal English. But there was an audio recording in English that gave details of what we were seeing. This driver simply drove the bus and waited while we spent fifteen minutes touring the outside of the castle. After completing the castle tour, we walked a couple of blocks to meet the next driver for the Old Town tour. Again this driver spoke little English. But he pointed to different aspects as the English version played. He made sure we saw the different points of interests. Stopping in Bratislava was a nice break during the long drive. We were able to get some lunch and see most of the major sites in a quick amount of time in the Presporacik vehicle. Our time there was long enough, since the city is rather plain than the other places we saw on our trip to Europe. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of grass or flowers blooming to make the city more colorful and attractive. Communicating with the company prior to our trip was easy and always responsive. The price was reasonable for the private tour too. Glad we stopped on our way to Budapest and didn't spend an entire day going to/from and in Bratislava. Good tour for a quick stopover.

Nice tour to discover Bratislava in a relatively short time. The tour covers the city and outskirts (including Slavin and the castle). Take some time afterwards to visit the Old Town by foot, because this tour does not cover this area (which has some quite narrow and crowded streets).

Our tour vehicle was reminiscent of a vehicle set in the olden days of Bratislava. The tour audio was in good English and we enjoyed seeing the city during our few hours in town. We used Google translate to communicate with our driver, and he was very helpful and informative.

I did the 95 minute tour with this tour group and it was pretty good. The car holds around 16 people and you get headphones that connect to the car so you can hear the tour in about 6 languages.
You go around downtown then go all the way up to Slavin, a memorial site and stop for about 15-20 minutes. Then you go down to Bratislava Castle and Parliment and stop for about 20 minutes.
The staff was all great and the tour does give you a brief tour of the city so you can see what to do next.

Great way how to get to know Bratislava from a cozy little bus. Panaromatic and roof windows provide excellent views of all the sights. The audio guide is perfectly timed with loads of interesting and easy-to-listen information not just about the sights but also about Slovakia in general. Renata at the pickup point was super helpful and driver Lubo was very kind and the rout with him was smooth! Thank you so much for perfect sightseeing!

This bus tour was great! We found the tour very informative and learnt lots about the history of the city. The stop offs at castle and Slavin were an added bonus. Despite the rain it was still a great excursion as the bus is enclosed and has panoramic view!
