    A fun and informative walk
The walking route is very well structured, covering both historical monuments and buildings, as well as newer additions. The guide Balázs had a great balance of both historical information and interesting facts, with a good sense of humour and pace for the walk, definitely recommend for anyone as an introduction to the city.

Lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
Very informative guide with good sense of humour. Not too much walking and not overwhelming with too many sights. Tip at the end about the subway station wasn't goof as app was more confusing that buying a normal ticket! Location of start and end was good and helped us later when visiting Xmas markets

Orsolya (Orshe) was a friendly and informed tour guide who gave us great insight on the country’s Jewish community and history. She had a particularly loud voice which was useful both for hearing her over Easter traffic but especially as we were a large group following her throughout the narrow streets. Her knowledge on the synagogues and the Jewish people’s history really added to the vibrant neighbourhood. The route overlaps with that of the general walking and communism tours, but the information is largely separate and it served to familiarise ourselves better with the historic centre.

Dear 121darc, Great to hear you enjoyed your Jewish District tour in Budapest. We are going to pass along your review to Orsi. We do hope you've taken a moment to re-read our outline of tour routes and itineraries before you booked with us. It is extremely clear about what we see, do and talk about. I have copied one sentence from our website: "The Saint Stephen’s Basilica (you hear different stories than on the Original Tour)." Although it is OK to visit 1-2 places in a repetitive way on different tours to capture a broader picture of experience, our Jewish District Tour and Communism Tour have totally totally different routes. Non of the stops are overlapping. Kind regards, Triptobudapest.hu - Free Budapest Walking Tours Team

Ursula was our guide and she did a tremendous job. Having been a Jewish studies major and university and current employee at the Holocaust Memorial Center, she was extremely knowledgeable. She related the information in an interesting and engaging manner, and always stopped to ask for questions. We learned a lot, and are very glad we took the tour. We highly recommend it.

We were delighted by the visit with Geri!
He gave us very interesting details about the Hungarian and Jewish history and he also managed to cover some street art and general facts about the city.
I 100% recommend this visit. Geri gave us also a lot of tips for our stay in Budapest (Restaurants, Money Change, Bars etc).

My friend and I did the Free Jewish District Tour of Budapest with the fabulous guide Edith. It was one of the most moving and fascinating walking tours we have ever done. The tour was extremely informative and comprehensive. But it was more than an intellectual learning experience. Edith spoke from the heart, including some of her personal links to the subject, making the tour deeply moving and personal. She brought us to places and told us stories that we would never have encountered on our own. Needless to say -- we highly recommend this tour!

Quite different than expected but super interesting, emotional and personal! Our guide Edith was very nice and did a great job! You will learn a lot about the former Jewish life in the district, about all the synagogues and what the Jewish district is today. Edith told a lot of touching stories and provided us with interesting fun facts. Bring some cash in case you want to contribute to the free walking tour in the end!

Edina welcomed you kindly, indicated what we were going to do, started with a short intro and then the tour started. She spoke clearly, was very knowledgeable and was able to convey the information well. Even though I had continued straight after my flight and the general tour was not available, I immediately had a good idea of the city, its history and where it was going. Afterwards she also took plenty of time to answer some questions. On Saturday I went out on my own, on Sunday I joined the general tour, again with Edina, where she concluded with some more tips on what to do and what not to do. Subsequently I did the Castle Tour on the Buda side, this was with Bazsla (or Goulash), definitely a good tour guide. You can't miss his voice.

Nice to find these tours that offer so much, and ask for so little. Judit was not feeling well and almost cancelled but powered through beautifully to offer a group of about 18 a lovely walk through the Jewish Quarter with lots of history, art. Architecture and context. We really enjoyed it.

Dear Rovingc, We’ll make sure we pass your kind words along to Judit, who we know will be delighted to read your comment. She is just as knowledgeable engaging and "iron willed" ( in the good sense of the word) as you have described her. She did not want to let anybody down, so she did her very best to do an excellent tour. Thanks for sharing your glowing feedback! We appreciate your time a lot! Have a wonderful day! Participating in the Jewish Quarter tour was an illuminating, insightful, and very touching experience. Our guide was exceptionally skilled, adeptly delivering information and addressing all questions, thus adding multiple layers of depth to such a historically rich area. The fact that our guide is from Budapest, possesses a personal history in the area, and has a wealth of experience contributed significantly to making the tour an enriching and memorable journey. It truly made a difference to our understanding of Budapest. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

We did the Jewish district tour with Petra and it was so good! The tour was really
Informative, I learnt so so much. Even though we had also done the free city walking tour of Budapest we learnt lots more additional info on this. Deff recommend. Petra is so knowledgable also and you can tell she has such a passion. Any questions asked she could answer right away with detail. Ps she is better than Andy (joke! But you have to go on her tour to find out about it!)
