We had such a great tour with Gary! Budapest is so beautiful and having a knowledgable tour guide made it so much more fun!!

I found a little frog when in Szabadsag Ter and thought it was good and then found 3 more little statues along the Buda river bank. I found the worm, Rubiks cube and tank. I didn't realize that these were from Nihaly Kolodko, a famous sculpture. There are more of them through the city and would've liked more time to search for these. Take some time and search for these when you are there. Its a "Little" bit of culture and some childish fun.

Petra was incredible. Knowledgeable, easy to hear and understand and just a delight!! Her historical and personal perspectives were interesting.

We were two couples traveling to Budapest for three days before joining an organized river cruise. We knew that our cruise back down the Danube would not afford us time to stop in several of the wonderful little villages along the way. So I reached out to Petra at Around Budapest and booked this private Full Day Guided tour…and it was the best decision we made all trip!! Petra was amazing, immediately responding to e-mails, confirming the price and exactly on time for our meeting. The van, with Benjamin our driver, was spacious, new, comfortable and Benjamin was an excellent driver. We were luck in that Petra also was our guide and she was amazing!!! She was knowledgable, fun, enthusiastic, professional and always checking to make sure that we were seeing what we wanted to see and/or not spending too much time on things that didn’t interest us (she was wonderful!!…and we loved everything and everywhere we sent). It was a full day, but the pace was manageable and by visiting three separate villages/areas (Esztergom, Visegrad & Szentendre), we covered a lot of ground…but never tired or became disinterested. In short, Petra’s itinerary was PERFECT!!! If you going to be in Budapest and want to visit outside and around Budapest…then booked with Around Budapest!! You’ll be glad you did. It was excellent!!

It turned out I was the only one on the tour so I got a personally guided tour around Pest. Andy the tour guide was absolutly great! He was very knowledgeable and had many stories of his personal life growing up in Hungary. If you are ever in Budepest take this tour, you will not be disappointed!

With Petra, you have a young person speaking her mind, and that’s what makes a great guide in a dynamic and evolving city. I can strap on a headset if all I want are facts and figures about this building or that date. But we like to go deeper into the history and current events which made for great insight from someone as open and honest as Petra. Sure, she knew all the facts and dates too, but the opinions on communism, international relationships and the current Hungarian government really added spice to the time together.

What a fantastic day with Petra. She is an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. From start to finish we felt like being accompanied by a friend rather than a guide. Our day started with a visit to Eger Castle then on to the church and main square. We were treated to a private wine tasting and lunch at Bolyki winery just outside Eger with instruction provided by the owner himself. This place was a real gem. We concluded with a visit to the Valley of the Beautiful Women. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a personal and unique experience.

My friends and I learned about Petra's walking tour through a mutual friend and boy were we lucky! This walking tour was such a treat and the highlight or our trip. Had we not gone on this trip we would have NEVER experienced Budapest in the way its meant to be experienced. We all learned so much and were shown all the "Must see's" in Buda. Thank you Petra for a memorable, affordable and fun tour. I had emailed Around Budapest when I started planning my trip. Petra was very prompt in replying back and asked if we had any preferences. On the day of the tour she was on time and prepared. My young kids ages 8/10 loved her! One of my requests was to make it entertaining for the kids and educational for us. She stuck to those guidelines. We split the tour up over 2 days. One day for Buda and the next for Pest. Petra was very through and knowledgeable. She was quick to change the itinerary as we went along. Petra is funny and extremely kind. She is amazing at what she does. She has such a good energy and she was able to keep up with the kids. I have to say it was our best decision to book Petra for our weekend stay in Budapest. We have booked the private city tour with the main attractions and highlights. Its amazing how she was able to pack so many details and fun facts about the city and history of the Hungarian nation into couple hours walk. We have started at Jewish Quarter and finished at Buda Castle. During the tour we also enjoyed the Xmas market with some mulled wine and palinka :-) Her support doesn't finished when we said good-buy. She sent us many must to see places, restaurants and also places close to Budapest so we were able to enjoy our way back home. I can only recommend her and definitely we will book her for our next visit as we will come back for sure :-)

The private tour around Budapest with Petra was excellent! Places are well chosen and with this tour you will have a nice overview of the left bank of Budapest (Pest) With Petra you immediatly feel good because she is a very good listenner and advise you the best restaurants, places to visit and teach you some hungarian words (even if you don’t remember after because this is a difficult language 😂) and the most important: you are sure to laugh because there a lot of funny facts about Budapest. As well she was always on time and always answered me by message when I needed to get know some tips about Budapest. We were honored to be Petra's first Customer who booked through her new website and company to tour the Budapest Jewish Quarter. We had a wonderful 4 hours of Petra's dedicated time and enjoyed the wealth of knowledge she brought to the 4 of us as we learned about the Budapest Jewish Heritage and Culture. Petra clearly has a passion for the history and culture of Budapest, and was able to present it so clearly to all of us. Her English was excellent, and her knowledge of the Jewish people was very strong, even though she is not Jewish herself. We suspect Petra would be an excellent tour guide in any area Around Budapest, but unfortunately, we only had time to use her expertise for the Jewish Quarter.
