We took our own tour to Eger- enjoyed many of the caves and drank some fabulous red wines. Soltesz Egri Bikaver- bulls blood wine is a must try if you are here. Easy train ride and a fabulous town!

Edith was excellent, she took the time and effort to show us something of the most beautiful things about the ancient Magyar (Hungarian) history. The Visegrád castle and Danube bend views were amazing

Yesterday, my wife and I visited Pannonhalma Arch Abbey with a Eurama private tour. Our tour guide was Christina, who with our driver picked us up at our Budapest hotel. Christina provided us with a detailed history of the Abbey from its founding by King Geza around the year 1000 through the present day. She not only knew the history of the Abbey well but also its importance to the Hungarian people through the centuries. The Abbey is an outstanding combination of many architectural styles and since the fall of communism has been renovated to serve the needs of the monastic community. In addition to touring the church, treasury and library, we were able to attend a brief midday prayer service with the monks and other visitors. The Abbey also manages an extensive herb garden, growing lavender and other fragrant herbs. Overall, the day trip from Budapest was outstanding addition to our visit to Hungary, largely due to the knowledge and skill of our tourguide. We would recommend a private tour to Pannonhalma as an enjoyable and easy way to visit this historic and sacred place.

i became sick & was unable to take tour. cancelled as soon as it became obvious i wiuld not be able to leave my hotel. 22 hrs before scheduled tour. Still lost my refund

I am not sure if this was the company through which we booked, but our guide Tamas was excellent door to door for 11 hours.

I reserved this tour several weeks before I left for Budapest. Viatours immediatley sent me confirmation. Then I received a personal note from our Guide, Gabriel (Gabor) asking if there was anything specific we wanted to see, as he arranges the tour according the the client's desires. He had a very comforable and clean car, with bottles of water (it was a very hot and humid day). He is extremely knowlegable and gave us wonderful historical explawations of ehat we were seeing. We were in Pest and in Buda and saw far more that I expected. But he managed to include everything that was important for us to see. it was really and excellent experience.

This was well worth the money. The guide (Tom) was lovely and the driver excellent. We saw a good few places that we would never have found. Yes it involved quite a bit of walking but I got the impression that Tom could have modified the tour depending on mobility. Can’t recommend this enough. Several times after both my wife and I said how glad we were that we did this

Totally brilliant and an absolute 'mut do'. A carriage ride, beautiful horses and a mind-blowing display of superb horsemanship. We were able to wander round, but the show was the highlight.

It was excellent experience; the driver/tour guide is very professional, well manner and knowledgeable! The itinerary of the day trip was very well planned and organized, I have seen a lot, definitely more than if I go by myself. Tour guide also told me many interesting background of places we visited, and answered any question I have.

Our tour guide, Petra, was very knowledgeable and personable. We saw and spent time in many of the city’s highlight places where Petra explained the history and answered all our in clearly and concisely. She was passionate in her deliveries and you could feel her pride in her adopted city. Our driver, Thomas, was a pro! He knew the areas well and was a courteous and skilled driver. We came away with a love and appreciation for this beautiful city due mainly to Petra and Thomas’ outstanding tour.
