A+++++ guide, day spent with Zoltan on Danube Bend tour was by far the best day of our two week tour in Central Europe
We had a wonderful Danube Bend tour with Zoltan on July 22nd, and so excited about it that we're posting on the same day. In my book, Zoltan is the best guide in Budapest, if not all of Hungary! We decided to do a Danube Bend tour at the last minute, as part of our two-week trip through Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Vienna, and Hungary. The day spent with Zoltan was by far the best day of our entire trip. Everything was wonderful and beyond words. The tour and having his company was a joy throughout. If you're on the fence about booking a tour for the Danube Bend or Budapest with Zoltan, do yourself a favor and just do it. It will be well worth the cost. Posting three pictures of each of the main stops of our tour: Esztergom Basilica, Visegradi Fortress, and Szentendre city walk. Visegradi was our favorite and completely underrated by Rick Steves's book.

Exceptional experience with Danube River Bend tour
We had a great experience touring Esztergom, Szentendre, and Visegrad with Zoltan. He picked us up promptly in his comfortable, very clean, and well-air-conditioned van, which was a relief on a hot summer day. My husband and I prefer to explore at our own pace, Zoltan accommodated us nicely. He was extremely knowledgeable. He provided clear and informative explanations of the history of all the sights. We felt well taken care of with Zoltan as our guide. We highly recommend him for the Danube River Bend tour. He's all around a very nice person.

The best of Hungary with the very best tour guide!!!
If you are planning a trip to Hungary, Zoltan is without a doubt your guide!!!! He was so knowledgeable, very accommodating, a wealth of information and truly made our visit incredible. It was liking having a local friend take you around to share all that his country had to offer. We did the magnificent Danube bend one day, and a complete city tour the other. He got us everywhere we wanted to see and even back tracked to where we wanted to see more of!

      Great day trip
The Danube Bend Tour by van was a great day trip out of Budapest to 3 interesting stops along the Danube bend. Zoltan is an excellent guide with a lot of information about Hungary which made the trip interesting, and the Mercedes passenger van was very clean and a perfect vehicle for a tour. Thank you Zoltan for a great day!

      Amazing Danube bend tour
Zoltan gave us a spectacular tour of the areas around Budapest, including the Danube bend!  He was fun and knowledgeable, answering all our questions about the country and the sites we visited.  It was clear he had been a successful tour guide of the area for years and had perfected his tour during that time.  He allowed us to make the tour what we wanted by gearing it to the areas we said we wanted to see.  Yet, at the same time, he gave us fantastic suggestions about what to visit and how to spend our time.  The tour was one of the highlights of our whole trip as a result, and we are so grateful to Zoltan for his expertise and insight.  We will definitely be seeking another tour from Zoltan on our next trip to Budapest.

      Budapest journey with Zoltan
Amazing guide and person! We six friends visited and he showed us around Budapest. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Knows history and where to spend how much time! Spent hour more or so than booked with same amount of price - never felt he is in hurry or less interested in thing he might have mentioned many many times to lot of visitors. I highly recommend him as a guide when you visit Budapest. Thanks

      Family Search
I found Zoltán by chance while looking for my family in Hungary while I'm in the U.S. He continued to help me look for my family for months until he was able to locate them. It took me 10 years but with Zoltán's help we are reconnected. He kept in touch and always kept me up to date on what was happening. I couldn't of found better service any where else and will be contacting him again when I travel next year.

      Fun day with Zoltan!
Zoltan came highly recommended by TripAdvisor, and he did not disappoint! Zoltan had been most professional and friendly to work with, on email. He responded right away to all my queries, and provided inputs that were able to help me plan the trip efficiently, considering the limited number of days we had. Zoltan also had been most helpful with tips on what not to do and how to stay safe, and these were most appreciated. We had a day with Zoltan, from Budapest to Zagreb, thru Lake Balaton areas, visiting the small towns and castles along the way. Zoltan is one of the friendliest guides we met, no requests are too big or small to him. Everything was accomodated while keeping the day full with sights and visits and light with banters, chats and stories. Never a dull moment with Zoltan!! Yes, we totally recommend Zoltan!

Christmas Week 2019 my wife and two adult sons flew into Budapest from New York. We are part Hungarian so this was a very special trip long overdue. This was not our first trip to Europe and I learned that the best way to really see and appreciate a destination is to find a good personal guide. Commercial tour operators cater to big groups and my experience is that often the guides hired by the tour operators work off of a script. If you ask a question not related to the script you get bs responses. Zoltan was fantastic and exactly what I wanted.
After a quick email exchange while we were going through customs we met Zoltan. He was instantly welcoming and greeted us as if we were old friends. On the way from the airport he told us what we were looking at, what we could expect to see and what we must see while visiting there for the week. he shared some family stories, asked about our family and told us things to do in the days before our scheduled guide date. We spent a day in the city and then went to Vienna for two nights and returned in time for New Years Eve back in Budapest. Zoltan met us again the morning of 2 January and took us throughout Pest before going to Buda across the river. It seemed that he knew something about every building and statue we passed and there was not a question that he could not answer. He recommended several fine restaurants for dinner that were fantastic out of the way places. We stopped at least 10-12 times on our tour and we spent as much time as we wanted at each attraction.
While our trip this time centered on Buda and Pest he suggested several places to visit on our next trip which are just outside the city that we will be doing as soon as this pandemic is over. He also brought us back to the airport the day that we left.
Zoltan was so nice that we have stayed in touch in the subsequent months via WhatsApp.
I cannot recommend his services enough. His fees were more than reasonable. If you are looking for a nice, safe, polite gentleman to escort you around a beautiful city that he truly loves, please do yourself a favor and hire this man and Rinett Guide Tours.

My parents, and another couple they traveled with, recommended Zoltan to us. My husband and I had only one day in Budapest so we were quick to work with Zoltan to book a tour on their recommendation. Zoltan was prompt to respond to my requests and helpful with arranging everything we requested. He picked us up on time at our hotel and had the day planned. He even recommended we make a stop for the parliament tour, whichever was outside of the plan, but an exceptional stop. Zoltan was knowledgeable and helpful and a wonderful guide to spend the day with exploring the city. He made our only day in Budapest full and memorable.

My wife and I are retired, active seniors who have traveled internationally for many decades. We began planning a first-time visit to Budapest in 2019, including a search for a private tour guide. After a careful search, we selected Rinett Guide Tours and established our initial contacts with Zoltán Horváth.

Our initial email contacts with Zoltán were cordial, clear, and helpful. Sadly, due to COVID, our plans to travel to Budapest and those that replaced them had to be canceled two more times before we arrived in Budapest on 22 September 2022. Throughout the entire period of frustrating cancellations and rescheduling, it remained a pleasure to work with Zoltán, who was always accommodating, understanding, and even offered us an enjoyable complimentary virtual tour of Budapest after our 2021 visit was cancelled.

Happily, we finally met and toured with Zoltán in September 2022. We toured both the city and nearby countryside for three of our five-day visit to Budapest, a highlight of our month-long travels. Our time touring together was nothing short of terrific, full of good humor, helpful information, and professional guidance, as we visited one beautiful and interesting site after another. Our Budapest experience with Zoltán could not have been better. Beautiful city, wonderful guide.

We have traveled often and extensively through the years and have enjoyed touring with a number of professional guides. Happily, we can recommend Zoltán and Rinett Guide Tours as among the best. Our wonderful visit to Budapest will be a very special memory thanks to Zoltán Horváth. Our highest recommendations. Sincere thanks.

We took a private full day car tour of Budapest with Zoltan in late July 2023. It was our first visit to Budapest. We were able to see so many of Budapest's sights; learn about the history, food, architecture, and some of the politics and economics of the city. We never would have come close to seeing or learning what we able to in that one day had we tried to do it on our own, Zoltan was very knowledgeable, polite, and considerate -- also a very good driver. He pointed out restaurants, gelato places, etc. we might be interested in that were close to our hotel, even including a chimney cake cart that he said was much better and twice as cheap as the one just down the street. We would highly recommend Zoltan and Rinett Guide Tours.

We highly recommend a private tour of Budapest with Zoltan to see many incredible places you cannot see in a big group. Zoltan tailored our day to our interests and we were able to see so much in this beautiful city. We saw the Opera House, Parliament, went in the subway, Jewish Synagogue, bath houses, New York cafe, parks and much more. Zoltan’s English is excellent and he is knowledgeable about the history of Budapest and what makes the city so special. Great drive and nice Mercedes van. We’d book another tour with him again. Very memorable day.

Our first time in Budapest and we are so glad we booked a private tour with this guide. He met us at our hotel and drove us around to the most popular sites and main attractions on both the Buda and Pest sides. His vehicle was clean and perfect for touring as it has an oversized double sunroof and sliding back doors for easy entry and exit. He's a great driver and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and passionate about sharing it with you. Very professional and pleasant man. He was able to cover an immense amount of ground in 4 hours. Since this was our last stop on a 10-day european tour where we did all walking tours, this driving tour was great! Also, we didnt have to deal with the nuances of being in a group tour which means we were able to cover much more ground than usual. Hands down would book again. Do yourself a favor and dont miss this. The BEST!!

We booked a full-day tour. From beginning to end our tour with Zoltan was excellent. He was punctual and met us in the Hotel lobby where we discussed our tour for the day as to not duplicate anything that we had already seen. Zoltan was flexible and tailored the tour to our requests. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared history and experiences of Budapest throughout the day. Zoltan spoke excellent English. The car (not van) was clean and comfortable. We saw all of the places on our bucket list plus Zoltan took us to some off-tourist locations where we saw spectacular views of Budapest. When the tour was finished he dropped us off at our Hotel and recommended a fabulous restaurant where we enjoyed a traditional Hungarian dinner.

Marylynn and Jim Hoffman, Janet Livingston, Veronica Young, Carol Newman, and John Weare all want to say THANK YOU! again for the two day fabulous Van Tour you gave us in Budapest! We could not have asked for more. You were the perfect tour guide that accommodated our wishes and provided more than we expected!

The side trip to the art community of Saint Andrew was exceptional as well. We took a group photo of us outside the Pottery Demonstration shop in Saint Andrew which was a great artist community with a variety of artist-made high quality products!

Again. Thank you for a wonderful tour and many happy memories!

Zoltan is the best tour guide in Budapest, if not all of Hungary! We met him in July 2024 and spent a wonderful day together. His Budapest itinerary is perfect but will also customize to your needs and preferences. The tour and having his company was a joy throughout.

If you're on the fence about booking with Zoltan, do yourself a favor and just do it. It will be well worth the cost.

Posting pictures of a couple of Zoltan's recommendations: the lobby of the Parisi Udvar Hotel and also at the New York Cafe (chess sets available in some Budapest cafes)!
