It was very informative and we saw a part of daily live in Budapest we didn’t know before. Highly recommendable.Written December 14, 2023
- G9648MAingridh0 contributionsExcellentAbsolutely amazing. Victoria is so knowledgeable. Both myself and my 16 year old son loved it. It is amazing what you can find when you know where to look. We learned so much about Hungary in those couple of hours. There is such a thin line between the past and the present. We also thought that ‘recycling day’ is such a good idea. Ask your tour guide about it. 😊Written December 5, 2023

It’s amazing what you can find when you know where to look. We learnt so much about Hungary in those couple of hours. History and present are so thinly connected. In addition, we have found ‘recycling day’ such a good idea. We will leave it up to you to ask your tour guide about it.Written December 5, 2023
- pnutsmommyMN0 contributionsExcellent Tour with Historical InformationGreat tour to understand the Communist (Soviet) influence on Budapest. Our guide was fantastic and provided an in-depth narrative on Communism in Hungary from WWII forward and the heavy influences Communism still has within the country. Highly recommend this tour!Written November 18, 2023

- moritzb9660 contributionsGo there and have interesting eveningwalk. It was a really interesting Tour and our Guid told us a lot about communist History in hungary. He was super chill even one of the Guest didn't stop commenting his guidence. What I liked most was that he divided communist theorie and hardcore stalinism and not just put everything together in the "bad bad communism Pot"Written October 4, 2023

Our guide Jahan was very knowledgeable about the long-term history of all of the many areas we visited and helped give us context for how the city exists today. Great tour that I recommend going on as soon as you get here. We learned a lot and saw some great sites.Written September 13, 2023

We had a wonderful walking tour of Budapest with Victoria. She was very knowledgeable and was able to give a great overview with just the right amount of detail. We covered quite a bit of territory and felt like we really got to see most of the important sights. Highly recommend taking this tour for an outstanding day!

Thanks so much to Victoria for a wonderful walking tour. We covered all the prominent sights of Budapest and her knowledge of the history of the city was fantastic.
I’d recommend a pair of good walking shoes as you cover a lot of ground but it’s worth it

This tour is a greate way to get an introduction to the city of Budapest and the history of Hungary. Victoria is an historian and fluent in English, and she told us about important historical events and the buildings connected to them. She also has the ability to give us an understanding of the spirit of the Hungarian people and how it has been shaped. We learnt some useful fraces that are helpful and got tips on where to explore further. Highly recommended. Great value for the money! :D

We were low budget touring Budapest and we came across this tour. Needless to say that it was probably the best decision we made. We got shown around by Victoria which was an absolute legend when it came to the history of the place (she has a PhD in history). The tour was only supposed to last a couple of hours but we walked and talked for 4. We didn't get tired it just happened, every question was answered and every major site and historic event was covered by this lovely person that was very passionate about the history and the community of this country, with the bonus of hot chocolate and litle pastries. Victorias tour was definitely the most impressive one we came back raving about her to our friends and family. Would recomend 20/10.
P.S.: Just dress up well, Budapest's cold is no joke.

Victoria was incredibly knowledgeable about Budapest’s history but also things happening in the here and now. Often I feel under pressure to answer questions or participate in walking tours but Victoria made me feel at ease and we took the city very much at our own pace. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is on a whistle stop tour of Budapest like we were! Thank you, Victoria!

Would definitely recommend this tour , A great way to see the city, understand the culture and the history and pick up lots of recommendations of things to do and places to see and eat. Elisabeth was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and great company. As well as the historical sites she pointed out many other things that you would miss if you were on your own and add more colour to the Budapest story

Our guide Victoria showed us the main historical attractions of the city. Even though it is called historical, you will also learn a lot about the modern life of Hungary and Hungarians as well. I recommend that even for people who stay here for long and for locals, because we often miss very interesting facts and things that surround us everyday

Interesting and informative tour by Victoria.Very good value. Victoria seemed very knowledgeable and if uncertain about something texted colleagues to see if they knew the answer. We were lucky in that on the day there were only four of us and Victoria was able to modify the tour to our needs where appropriate. Definitely recommend.

Viktoria was an awesome guide. Taking us through the history of Budapest in a quick 3 hour walk.
We've been in Budapest for a couple of days at the moment of the tour and Viktoria managed to give the social and historical context to the things we saw by walking through the city by ourselves.
Would strongly recomend you this tour, and don't forget to tip 😉

Wasn't sure what to expect but not this. An inciteful, emotional and thought provoking walk around the city discovering its hidden past and current problems. Its horrors during the war and under communism were very emotional and detailed a history that i was previously oblivious to. All told by our guide, Victoria, who was very knowledgeable. The walk itself will leave your legs aching a bit the next day but its not done at break-neck speed, there is just a lot to cover in this amazing city and it is totally worth it. Would recommend highly but if you do book please turn up or inform the guide you wont be coming as we had to wait for some thoughtless people who did neither.

The guide will allow 10mins for late comers. Then the tour will start with or without them. The guide should call, text and email everyone not present at the start time and see where they are. If the guide starts on time without making an effort to contact missing guests then the guide will then be given accussed of leaving without them/not showing up.
