      Don’t miss out on this!
This is a must do! It was so much fun and so informative. The market trip was full of information on not only the food, but Budapest history. The cooking class was excellent. And then we got to eat!!! Katka was perfect- she is in the perfect role of chef, teacher and tour guide. Many thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

      Local cuisine made easy!
This was a wonderful immersion experience! The market was so fun and interesting. Our guide and teacher, Kata, could not have been nicer. She was so patient with us, as we are novice chefs!

A bit disappointed by the experience
We were really looking forward to this Hungarian cooking class which had great reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed for several reasons. 1) It was advertised as a maximum of 12 people but there were 16 in our class, which was very crowded in the rather small kitchen. 2) The facilities were quite small and so with 16 people we just sat around a table and it wasn’t super interactive. There were points where individuals were able to have a go at doing some part of the cooking process but it wasn’t that interactive as the rest of the people were sitting around a table, not up and watching or engaging with what was happening. 2) There was not enough food for everyone - for example, there was not enough nokedli (noodles) for everyone. 3) The market tour was interesting but could be improved in several ways. It would have been good to get some more commentary as we walked through the market. We tried some traditional savoury pastry and then 6 different types of salami. It would have been better to try a great variety of things and have less salami. Thank you for the tour, although it didn’t quite fulfil our expectations, we hope these suggestions will help to improve the class in the future.

A wonderful culinary, historic and cultural experience.
Kata is fantastic, we had a wonderful day. We were a complicated group, looking for a vegetarian experience in a country that uses animal fat in everything! First Kata took us to the largest Budapest market, where we bought all the ingredients. However, it was much more than that. She is also a tour guide and gave us a wonderful historic and cultural tour. The main event was the cooking experience. The facility is excellent and we enjoyed a five course feast that we really did create ourselves. Highly highly recommended.

Learning to cook like my grandmom
A wonderful and personalized experience. My wife and my two girls (7 and 9) loved our time with Easy Cooking. The tour of the historic market hall to get ingredients and learn more about Hungarian food and was fun and enlightening! I now want all pork products I can find from mangalica pigs. And the hands on and patient cooking class was a true treat. The food turned out great and was delicious (thanks to careful instruction :). They included my girls in the cooking as much as my wife and me, which turned the whole experience into something even more special. And I definitely appreciated how they altered the menu to let me learn more about cooking kapuzsta, something I remember smelling throughout the house every time I visited my grandmother. Highly recommend and I look forward to another session when we visit Budapest again

      Unforgettable & Delicious Experience!
Kata was an absolute gem! We walked around the central market for about an hour learning about its history and tasting the yummiest Hungarian delicacies. We were lucky enough to be with a fun group, as well. We then taxi’d to the Easy Cooking kitchen and took shots of Hungarian pálinka before preparing a traditional appetiser, vegetable soup, chicken paprikash, and poppyseed bread pudding. Everything was insanely delicious. Kata let us take home the leftovers, as well, which we devoured later that night. Everything was spot on. Would recommend to anyone travelling alone, as a couple, with friends or family :) Thank you for a beautiful, unforgettable experience!

Fabulous afternoon of traditional cooking in Budapest
It was a rainy day in Budapest and what better way to spend it than visiting the famous Central Market and then cooking a fabulous Hungarian meal. This experience exceeded our expectations and we are so happy we did it.

This class will be your Budapest Highlight!!
Taking a cooking class is a great way to meet a local and learn about the culture. The central market tour is a good introduction to Budapest and highlights many of the culinary treasures of the country and is a great contrast to supermarket shopping in the USA. Viki was a wonderful hostess and instructor. The recipes were fun to make and everyone chipped in. We look forward to trying them at home as well as using some of the "tricks" she showed us in our own recipes. I would definitely recommend.

A truly memorable cooking and eating experience.
What a lovely time we spent shopping and cooking with Viki, a truly warm lady and passionate cook. We started our afternoon with a tour of the Market Hall, listening about the history of the market, tasting local foods and shopping for our ingredients. Due to torrential rainfall earlier on the week thé venu had to change last minute and we were treated to actually going to our host’s family home. It was very special and also extremely kind of Viki to arrange this for us as she could easily have cancelled. What a wonderful time the four of us had. Tasting cheeses, cooking our lunch, tasting local wines, sipping Palinka, discussing culture, history and family life. I thoroughly recommend booking this course if you want a truly memorable lunch. Thank you Viki.

      Market and cooking with Oliver
My partner and I really enjoyed our market tour and cooking with Oliver. He gave us lots of information about the market and was very passionate about cooking. We enjoyed making our three courses and spending the afternoon with Oliver who was very friendly and talkative. The wine was delicious and so was the pálinka! My favourite course was the Gulyás. Overall a very chilled afternoon of cooking, drinking and eating with good company - what else could you ask for!

      Amazing experience
The activity was a highlight of our trip in Budapest. Kata showed us around the market, taking us to the different stalls and allowed us to sample all the different types of food as well as pick up some fresh ingredients we would use for the dishes we would be cooking later. We then got to the kitchen and started preparing all the different dishes while being able to enjoy snacks, drinks, and ask any questions we had. We ended up making so much delicious food and learning about Hungarian cooking that we will never forget.

Wonderful tour of the Great Market Hall in Budapest. We just had three groups take this tour in March and each of the tours was just fantastic. Kata was very knowledgeable about Hungarian cuisine and history. The stops for tastings were very well chosen -- such a wide variety of foods and such large tasting samples!

    Strongly recommend this tour!!!

Very characteristic and full of stalls where you can buy both souvenirs and more local objects, there are also many stalls selling meat/cured meats/fish for consumption at home.
Upstairs there are several places to eat, you will find practically only typical food, very good.
Slightly high prices, around €12/15 for the dish.

on the ground floor there are many food shops, especially fruit and meat shops, on the floor above there are repetitive shops and some places to eat. On the underground floor there is an Aldi supermarket and a fish and pickle department (3/4 side by side), probably because they are activities whose smells are intense and annoying for some.
