About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- markdgoddard0 contributionsA brilliant way to uncover BudapestThis was a great full day tour, the guide ( Alexandra ) was superb with unlimited knowledge on every aspects of Budapest and made the whole day both full of facts but also was great fun. We genuinely probably know more about the Hungarian history than our own countries now due to this great tour.Written October 11, 2024
- 83prachis0 contributions3 he tour of Buda and PestAmazing tour, tour guide very knowledgeable, learnt a lot and had fun (even in the rain). As small group, had tour tailored for usWritten October 4, 2024
- S9040RGbethh0 contributionsEnthusiastic Overview of Buda and PestOur tour guide Dalia provided an amazing overview of the city -- both the Buda and Pest side. And she gave us a solid understanding of the history and current state of affairs, arts, and culture in the country. She picked a route that was efficient and reflected keeping us out of the rain as much as possible. (We were there just ahead of the recent horrible floods.) The day flew by as Dalia tailored the route and commentary to the things the four of us were most interested in. This full day tour laid the groundwork for us to explore Budapest on our own over the next four days where we felt like we really understood where to go for more detail and how to get there. Highly recommend Dalia!Written October 3, 2024

- davidtinmiami0 contributionsA great way to really see Budapest thoroughly and efficiently. We had a fantastic time with a great guide, Dalia, who was so personable, interesting, and wonderfully knowledgeable. She was fantastic. We mentioned a couple things we wanted to do, and she made it happen. We had a great driver who got us all around the city both Pest side and Buda side. We really accomplished an enormous amount of sightseeing in one day: St. Stephen's Basilica including a trip to the top, Andrassy Blvd., the Opera including going down into the subway and getting a lesson in how to use it, a tour of the Cental Market Hall, a trip to Hero's Square and a view of the Szechneyi Baths, Buda Castle and the Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, and most of all, we got a full tour of the Dohany Street Synagogue. We even stopped to sample the famous chimney cakes. I highly recommend this tour, and we loved Dalia.Written September 22, 2024

- I4201LEsabrinad0 contributionsPerfect Budapest ExperienceSarah was an amazing guide! We had an amazing day seeing the sights and learning all about Budapest/Hungary. - cjschreiner0 contributionsComprehensive tour of BudapestThis tour will provide you a comprehensive tour of Budapest and is a great value. We got to see highlights of the Buda side and the Peat side. You will use public transportation when getting around town. In Buda you’ll use a bus and Pest you’ll use the original subway system. Would highly recommend this tour, just be aware that you will do a good amount of walking.Written September 6, 2024
- kayet4270 contributionsA Fantastic Day in BudapestAlexandra was absolutely amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable and conveys this info in a fun and interesting manner. All three of us, to include our 13 year old son, throughly enjoyed the tour. She piqued our interest in so many areas that we want to go home and further research on the history of Hungary. She was so easy to spend the day with too. She really made this trip memorable. It would be wonderful to have an Alexandra in every city we explore.Written August 30, 2024
- Paul B0 contributionsGreat guide and great tourNomi was very knowledgeable and personable. She explained everything in great detail, answered all our questions and was sensitive to the oppressive heat during our tour. She offered additional suggestions about other things to see, using the trams etc. She was a tremendous guide and we would recommend her highly! - Stephen S0 contributionsGreat way to see the whole cityAn excellent all-day tour and a wonderful way to see all the most famous parts and sights in the city. My tour guide, Noemi, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about all the locations. She also knew where to refill my water bottle at public taps as well as the all-important restrooms. One nice part of the tour was when she took me into the Buda Hilton (which is built around a medieval cloister.) I would not have known that this was open to the public, and it was also a little break for air-conditioning and a nice restroom. This tour has lots of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. We did ride the streetcar up Andrassy utca to Heroes Square and also at the end from Gellert Hill back to the central part of Pest. Overall, this was a great way to spend the day, and I highly recommend it.Written July 12, 2024
- R506SVdavido0 contributionsGreat tour and an amazing tour guide!Budapest is an absolute gorgeous city with so much history. We booked a full day, private city tour with Tourist Angel. Our guide was Dalia Csizmar and she did a fabulous job! Dahlia took the time to sit with us prior to the tour to give us a brief overview of the sights and the day. More importantly, she took the time to get an understanding of our interests and reworked the entire day to accommodate them. Dalia’s was incredibly personable; her English was excellent and her in-depth knowledge of the sites was amazing. She set a high bar of expectations for how we approach any further tours. This was a great tour with an amazing tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour.Written June 7, 2024
- Kerry G0 contributionsGreat tour with very knowledgable guideThank you to Alexandra who was our guide - so knowledgable about everything - we learned so much about the beautiful sights in Budapest but also about the country and culture. Would highly recommend this tour especially if you are here for a short time and want to cram a lot in. Thank you for a wonderful day.Written May 29, 2024
- cls56100 contributionsTuk Tuk tourPaul was our guide. He adapted the tour to our requests; he spoke English wonderfully; his knowledge of the area was excellent; he showed us out of way unique places instead of the main sites (which we had already seen). He was also very pleasant and enjoyable. Highly recommend PaulWritten May 26, 2024
- 258aislingb0 contributionsBudapest walking tour reviewEssential walking tour was an excellent service during our trip to Budapest. We were a group of 8 friends led on a very informative and interactive 3 hour walking tour by Orsi who was so nice to chat to during this tour. I would highly recommend Essential Walking Tours and in particular Orsi as your tour guide.Written May 7, 2024

Myself and 22 other folks from N.Ireland were 'guided' by Noemi Bodiss, she arrived at our hotel punctually and was extremely helpful in the Metro regarding buying tickets i.e. best value etc. Noemi is obviously passionate about her job and took us at our pace through most of the main tourist attractions.
One small criticism and I emphasise small would be that her P.A. system which she wore around her neck could have been more efficient and was, depending on where we were, difficult to hear her - this, slightly diminished our enjoyment

A great start to our visit to Budapest - Adam our guide had clearly carried out a lot of research on this subject and was able to communicate his love for the history of his country. We learned a lot more about Hungary's past and present over and above the 1956 Revolution. By the end of the tour we felt that we understood the country a lot better, and the tour felt more like a stroll with a knowledgeable friend. His own family's involvement in the Revolution brought an extra personal element. Thank you Adam.

We bought the Budapest city card and when we noticed we could get a free tour with it we decided to do it. We did the Pest tour in the morning with Naomi, who was an awesome and really sweet guide that gave us several recommendations, like restaurants, museums and other things to do. In the afternoon we decided to do the Buda tour, which was with another guide that I don't remember the name. We decided to leave earlier because we were really tired and wanted to explore more by ourselves, even though the guide was doing a really good job. Totally recommended!!!!

It was an immense pleasure to have a 3 hour walking tour with Noémie. This is probably the first time that I was able to enjoy a bilingual tour in English and French. Having no fixed Agenda I had a million questions ranging from Hungarian history, politics all the way to daily challenges and gastronomical dishes. Noémie was able to answer all my questions in her very patient and passionate way. Thank you for the tour and looking forward to my next visit to Budapest!
