Overall good experience; Better to visit in non-winter seasons
The tour had both English and Spanish interpretations concurrently. Can be slightly confusing especially when you have a bigger tour group who needed to wait for the guide to finish, but the guide did such an amazing job!! The stories are great, but the views could have been better due to a gloomy/foggy day (not the agency's fault). Lunch service at the recommended hotel could be better managed, as we had to wait quite a while for the food which lessened our time to explore the place. Otherwise, the overall experience is good.

    Danube Bend Day Tour
Took the Danube Bend tour with Gynri as our guide. As we were only 4 participants it turned out to be a private tour! Gynri is the best guide you could wish for. He is such a good hearted gentleman, a knowledgeable person and an attentive guide. Thank you Gynri for making this day a memorable one.

Good. But recommended to come between May and September.
The tourist guide is very good, fluent in English and Spanish. The itinerary arrangement is fine. But highly recommended to come between May and September. November is cold you may meet rainy or cloudy weather, and no river cruise in the Danube. All the stops are good except the lunch in Siraly restaurant in Visegrádi is terrible. Maybe it's because the only opened restaurant in that small town, at least in Nov 2023. Waiting for food to be served and eating spent all the 1 hour. No room for the "Panoramic view from the fortress". With this service, they still take a 10% service fee without asking. In Bratislava, they took the basic price first, and then I gave the tip later, which I feel more respected.

    Wrong address
Please take care that the adress for pick up is clearly stated in the e-mail! We booked and traveled to the bathory street 19 which is the adress mentioned in the mail. Apparently there are two bathory streets!!! And they are miles apart, so when we were called by the guide they told us there was nothing they could do and there was no refund possible. We weren’t the only people affected by this so we complained a bit and they offered us a different tour which we had to quickly go to. So we booked a taxi and what followed was a wild goose chase looking for the correct bus. Eventually we made it, but of course we we’re really disappointed because this was a city tour where as we wanted to see the royal palace of Sissi. Really if you book this tour make sure you have the right address!!!

Check if the Basilica is still a building site before booking this tour.
Before booking this tour, check whether works at Esztergom Basilica are complete, as it's undergoing such major restoration works that everything other than the altar painting was either covered up or pulled up. It was basically the tour of a building site after which we walked across the terrace to see the view of the Danube. At Visigrad, the restaurant was mediocre. Szentendre was very commercialised but pretty, better to have lunch there to have more time to walk around.

Awesome Tour at a Great Value
Took the Danube Bend tour with Vera the guide, and Peter the driver. I must say I came to Hungary to connect with my heritage and culture, as my parents immigrated to Canada in 1956. This tour was way above and beyond my expectations. Peter was very funny, courteous and professional. Vera was amazing! Her knowledge of history, the who, what, when and why, was extremely informative and captivating. I felt transported back in time, standing in the historical spots, that her stories brought to life. I felt like I was experiencing Hungary with two good friends, and had the Magyar blood stirred within me. I highly recommend Cityrama Tours for the best experience at the best value!

Never again hate 1 travel not handicap friendly
If I could give zero I would ! Worst experience on a vacation of my life ! The bus drove quickly and what was being discussed or pointed out you couldn’t make heads or tails ! The tour guide was so rude everything rushed hurried ! No where did it say climbing stairs would be involved and the option for opting out of climbing stairs for handicap people was not given ! I would never recommend this tour or any other tour by this group given they poorly handled having handicap and elderly people who were physically unable to traverse steep Rocky stairs to the Buda castle. Some of these people requested to sit out and wait on the bus and they were told not they could not wait on the bus!

A Wonderful Afternoon Just Not with Cityrama
Szentendre is a gem of a village, and we were excited to go. Perhaps it was a hot day, and perhaps we had had such fabulous guides previously, but we were underwhelmed with our guide and therefore with the afternoon. She sounded German (to me) and said everything in Spanish then again in English to cater to the small group making for an extremely prolonged afternoon, the microphone on the van had reverb making it difficult to listen, and we ate hot fried dough as part of the trip yet were not shown water at the well until afterward. There was no warmth to the small group excursion. The marzipan museum was not included. There was nowhere to use the restroom without paying while we could have used it at the Cityrama office before setting off. yet had not been alerted to that fact. I highly recommend visiting Szentendre though perhaps not through Cityrama. The boat ride home was fun.

    Great experience
The 4-hour trip was well worth the price. Szentendre is a quaint little town that can easily be explored in a couple hours and it is a nice change of pace from bustling Budapest. You will stop at a small stand for langos, and if it wasn’t for this trip, I probably would not have ordered one. However,y I am glad to have tried one as they are quite tasty! The hour-long boat ride alone was fabulous with lovely scenery the entire way. Elizabeth, our guide, was very knowledgeable and quite witty. She made the trip fun. I highly recommend this tour if you have the time and are looking to get out of Budapest.

    Great introduction to Budapest
The city tour is a great way to learn about Budapest and history of Hungary from its early tribal days, the subsequent rulers, the Ottoman period, becoming part of the Austria-Hungarian empire which fell after WW1, the communist era and finally a republic as we know it today. There were a few stops. The Parliament visit was the highlight. We toured the various chambers including an opportunity to see the royal crown, sceptre and sword. Each visitor is given an audio aid.

    Sisi Tour in Budapest
My wife and I took the Sisi Tour led by Vera driven by Francis. Vera's knowledge and passion regarding Budapest and her glorious Empress Elisabeth were truly impressive. She shared stories and information that made us feel like we were part of an inner circle. Her kind demeanor and sense of humor kept us engaged the whole time. Congratulations on offering such an excellent experience!

    Be careful.
If you want an English speaking tour, be prepared for them to have it in 2 + languages. It’s very difficult for them ti discuss what you’re seeing as it may be a minute past while traveling in the bus. You virtually have half a tour because of switching between languages. Ver disappointing as it’s a city with so much history. It’s not enjoyable at all. And the AC wasn’t working on the bus.

Do not use the parliamentvisit website Reseller with huge markup and does not tell truth
Do not book via Parliament visit website. The site tells you there is a live guided tour - this is false- it is just the audio which you can get for a fraction of the price they charge by going to the authentic parliament website. These are resellers with a huge markup. We were kept waiting outside for 30 minutes in 35 degree heat. We were told the guide was coming- no guide came- we were ushered through security and abandoned. There was just the audio guide. Do not book any tours with these guys.

Tour was supposed to start at 10am. But tour guide arrived and went to each guest to discuss adding an one hour Parliament tour at the end. Those who agreed were sent to the office to buy tickets. We then walked about 5 minutes to the bus. The bus didn’t get on its way till 10.16am. By 12.30pm everyone was deposited at the Parliament building even the ones who didn’t sign up for the Parliament tour. They were not dropped off at the starting point as advertised and you need to make your own way from the Parliament building. The 45 minute walking tour of the castle area was more than an hour. Our guide has mobility issues and needs a cane to help her move slowly along so the group has to stop and wait for her to catch up, catch her breath etc. So, at most, it’s a 1 hr bus tour plus 1 hour very slow walking tour of the castle district.

The 3 hour city tour with Attila was a fantastic experience. He is funny, informative and charming. We were picked up at our hotel and started the tour in nearby Heroes Square. He explained the history of Hungary, its kings and its wars.
We then drove down the Champs des Elysees of Hungary, Andrassy Avenue, as he explained the yellow line and the sights and squares we passed. Our next stop was the Matthias Church on the Buda side of the river. We had about an hour to see the magnificent Cathedral and shops nearby. Then up the hill to the Citadella and its panoramic views of the city and the Danube. We also saw the synagogue and city center. This was a morning very well spent. We feel ready to travel on our own now.

What a delightful tour in an air conditioned bus with comfortable seating. To our delight our tour guide, Mike was local and very informative of the historical eras and areas of Budapest, including people, lifestyle, and architectural history of buldings, including its more colorful tales. It was a very inexpensive way to see the sights and sounds of Budapest. We made several stops for photos and a short walking tour. A great way to give your feet a break plus a wonderful overview of the city's history, grasp of location to determine which sites you would like to spend more time. We highly recommend.

Fun and informative tour around some of Budapest’s main attractions. Heavy traffic prevented us from going to Heroes’ Square (no fault of the tour company at all), but at all other destinations interesting and useful information was shared - and the air conditioned bus was a lovely touch as well. Was particularly useful as we went on the tour early into our trip, which helped settle us into the city and get a better idea of our surroundings. Highly recommend!

This was my third time in Budapest, we used the city tour from Cityrama for the first time. I highly recommend this tour because in 3 hours with a van and stops all around you can see all of Budapest important places. The Pest and the Buda side! When we finished the tour I was amazed how many things I missed during the first two visits. Anyone who comes to Budapest use this tour and enjoy the city to the fullest! Our host mr.Gunry Very had the best knowledge of the city and the history of Budapest and Hungary.

This tour could be much more informative than it was. A better expenditure of time and money would be to spend one day at the Buda Castle taking in the several museums available at that location. A second day could be best spent at the Basilica of Saint Stephen’s, and the parliament building.

The 3-hour City Tour is a great tour to see the most important sights in Budapest. We also had time to walk around the Heroes' Square and later on Castle Hill by the Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church and take pictures. Our guide Emese and driver John were excellent. We highly recommend this tour.

This is a wonderful tour if you are in a rush to hit some important sights in the city. We were served by Attila, a knowledgeable guy with a lovely sense of humour!

The only down side to this tour is that you don't have enough time to explore.

Do read the timings carefully. You need to be there half an hour prior to the beginning of the tour.

The company was very accommodating; when I mistakenly arrived late, they helped me make it to the tour.

I booked this tour 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived to the meeting point the tour was delayed and after 30 min we were informed that the guide didn't show up and the tour was cancelled. Very disappointing because we had our day planned. We were offered to do the tour 4 hours later. We arrived on time and the tour was again delayed ~30 min and the route of the tour was changed without previous notice. The new guide that they found as replacement was very nice but didn't speak spanish properly, which was the booked language. Not sure if this is common or we just had bad luck.

Great tour guide with overview of Budapest and wonderful driver. Comfortable transportation. However had 2 very discourteous passengers who were 20 minutes late getting back to the bus after short walking tours (and even the guide went to look for them) and never apologized to the group when finally getting back. So very inconsiderate! Wasn’t the tour’s fault so that’s why I didn’t rate lower.
