Hungarian Wine Tasting with Cheese and Charcuterie in Budapest
From $35.00
Hungarian cuisine is often overlooked in favor of its European counterparts, but boasts a rich artisanal heritage. Discover Hungary’s fine wines, flavorsome cheese, and charcuterie on a tasting experience with a sommelier, who provides insights into the country’s gastronomical history and tips for the rest of your trip. Plan into your day's exploration of Budapest, taking place at a convenient central location.
What to Expect

Meet your professional sommelier at the Tasting Table, a central location in Budapest. Marvel at the wine cellar’s vaulted ceilings, and settle in at your communal table for your cheese and charcuterie tasting experience.

Hear about the history of Hungarian cuisine, and gain insight into the post-Communist revival of artisan food culture. Interact with your sommelier, asking questions and recording notes on your provided tasting sheets, as you sample a range of the region’s best examples of charcuterie and cheese products. Try duck breast, Mangalica pork, water buffalo salami and beef sausages, and wash it all down with 5 glasses of Hungarian wine.

At the end of your experience, leave the central location with new insight into Hungarian culinary history, and tips for the rest of your trip.

Incredible value for money

A really enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Our host was knowledgeable & friendly. The charcuterie & cheese where lovely, and there was so much we didn't bother with supper! Would heartily recommend.

I’ve already reviewed

Not sure why you’ve asked me to do this again unless they have two listings but it’s a fabulous experience and I loved it. Any foodie shouldn’t miss it. Only improvement? The wines desperately need food and a little opening time!
