Budapest is a beautiful city with the best view from a cruise on the Danube River.
Positives:
Boat was spacious and during the cruise, there was only ambient lightning which was great for sightseeing - all historic buildings on river banks stood out (I really recommend cruising after dark).
Negatives:
Even though there should be a welcome drink included, we were refused one when we asked for it about ten minutes into the cruise with a very lame excuse "It is too late for a welcome drink, we cannot give it to you now". Did I survive the trip without that one glass of prosecco? Yes. Was I pissed off the whole trip because I was refused what I paid for? Definitely.
Be prepared that you will have only one chance of photos because it makes only one trip through the city centre and 15 minutes of one hour cruise is just docking the boat.

Welcome drinks are served upon entry, so you should not be upset when you don't get one 10 minutes later. Also, hard to pass the crew who is giving you the drink. You will have one chance for photos... on a round trip, yes... for sure... especially that the boat goes downstream then upstream. So much about you being fair.

This day trip is 50 mins long up and down the Danube it's inside although the boat is still cold.
The price was included in the hop on hop off bus tour. priced at 39 euros for 48 hours
You get off the bus at stop 2 and go to dock 6 which is a ten minute walk away
There is a snack bar and drinks bar on board but everything is really expensive.

We do not offer hop-on, hop-off bus tour, only the boat cruise. It is a different company you wanted to rate. ... also, as many note, it is nice warm inside.

We were extremely pleased with the trip it was better than we’d expected being one of the cheaper boats, it was nicer than some of the others. Was very busy queuing up and a bit of a rush to get chairs but if you don’t mind sitting inside there’s loads of room. Only thing that upset us was the taxi’s waiting outside robbed us so be careful and book if you can. Our driver drove so dangerously and said we didn’t give him enough money when we gave more than he asked so we had to pay again before he let us out. It ended up costing us more than airport transfer for a ten min ride! Very scary. Take a jumper as gets a little cold on the water

Booked last minute so we could see the landmarks lit at night from the river.
We were pretty much the last on the boat and as such we struggled to find seats together. I didn’t mind too much as I stood outside taking photos. *** TIP *** get there early if you want to guarantee good seats and to sit together. The cruise lasts an hour and for the money it’s good value so you can see the city from a different perspective.

We went on the evening cruise with a free glass of bubbly. The trip was well organised. The boat was warm inside with plenty of tables and chairs although for the majority of the trip, we sat outside. The views of the city lit up were simply breathtaking, the buildings are stunning in day light but by night they are magical. The boat trip lasted one hour and was just long enough. We felt we saw lots from the boat in one hour that would have taken us hours to walk ti and the view from the middle of the river was amazing. I would highly recommend this trip.

This is a perfect way to see all of the beautiful buildings and the lights of Budapest at night. There’s plenty of seating inside so if you have a cold or rainy evening like we did, you are still protected. The length of the tour was approximately one hour and it was very nice, just right! The only improvements I can suggest are that there be some rule that when standing outside taking pictures that individuals not block the view from the windows where people are seated inside. My mother has difficulty walking and standing and so wanted to sit inside and see the lights but people kept standing in front of her outside. It made the experience not so good for her and my father. Also, it would be nice if they had some kind of a covered seating at the dock so that when you return and are waiting for your taxi you are protected from the rain and wind. Staff were very nice. We had difficulty getting a Bolt taxi to return us to our hotel after our cruise at 9:30 pm. Finally took a cab at 4x the cost of Bolt 😟

I am sorry that you seem to be a victim of a taxi scam, still we have warned you on that even on your voucher. Unfortunately the number of taxis at Budapest is not too large (and narrowed by Covid), therefore it is almos impossible to get a taxi even in rain.
As the waiting area is literally the street it would be good to build something there, but legally not allowed.

Great little trip, boarded very efficiently & Prosecco handed out promptly. Had expected a small boat as the blurb said ‘max 20 travellers’ but not the case. Didn’t matter as plenty of room. My daughter & I sat at the uncovered rear of the boat so had a birds’ eye view of the Danube & landmarks. A little chilly but we were prepared and the rain held off.
We set off exactly at 715 and as sunset was 721, the lights immediately lit up the banks and buildings… it was magical & perfect timing for our departure.

The boat tour is nice and the environment was very cozy. I would focus more on the staff. At the bar they don't know what smiling and be gentle means. On the menu they offer a bottle of sparkling wine at a price, not specifying the content, 0.375, 0.75 liters. So when I asked the young boy attending me what was the size of the bottle, I found his answer a bit too aggressive and like making fun of me. He just said a bottle is a bottle. Like saying that a boat is a boat, depending if one is 3 meters long and the other is a 25 meters long. For him it was the same thing. Overall, besides the unfortunate episode at the bar, everything went smoothly. We enjoyed it very much, we drank our Saint Stephen Hungarian Champagne at a table for 2 and we enjoyed the beautiful panorama of Budapest by night.

If the weather has been much better without the drizzle, then the view from the cruise ship’s interior would have been much clearer. We were busy clearing up the condensation that has been formed on the windows!
Getting out there on the deck to take a couple of photos and a nice video, make my fingers nearly numb from the frigid weather…
Welcome drinks are in the form of glasses of Prosecco, very nice down the throat. The cruise departed very punctually at our appointed time of 6pm, so be early if you don’t want to miss your ride and end up waiting for the next cruise at extra cost and wait another 1 hour in the cold weather!!

This is a quiet boat trip down the Danube and back. Unfortunately, we booked in summer and at 7:30pn the sun was very far from setting. It was a warm day in July and being on the water helped. But none of the buildings were lit up. Still not an unpleasant way to spend the evening. There are many cruise operators in the area and if you are unable to book ahead of the trip, you can still book the cruise in person. Also if you do a walking tour, your guide may be able to help you

There were young children on board , as your baby is very young I would get a seat downstairs if you’re able to .. not sure about the cost for your baby .. as you’ll be carry him/her I wouldn’t have thought so. Enjoy

It depends on what you want. There are dinner cruises but we wanted to take photos of illuminated buildings from the river so just went for a more basic trip.
We (3 adults) really liked the Portum Line cruise from dock 42. This may not be the most swish of boats but it was comfortable and there is no commentary which we preferred. It's very good value for money but don't get overexcited about the free drink which is like a slightly alcoholic slush puppy. We really enjoyed it but remember even in warm weather it is much cooler on the river so if you want to sit in the open areas, which are best for photos, then wrap up well.
Some reviewers had problems finding dock 42. Strangely if you walk along the river and see the dock numbers going down from 10, 9, 8 etc all the way down to 1, just keep going because after dock 1 you will find dock 42.
