We had a great experience doing a walking tour of the Jewish ghetto/quarter of Budapest. Our guide Dora was very knowledgeable about the history and food of the area. We visited an both an authentic Jewish coffee shop and cafe for a very nice lunch. We would highly recommend this activity.

We'd toured on a very hot day in Budapest and our guide was prompt, educational and came with water bottles! That just goes to show his thoughtfulness in all things, from explaining the meaning of what we saw to sharing his own family's stories. We enjoyed the matzah cake and especially the lunch with cholent. Went back to theTaste Hungary office to buy paprika too. A wonderful walk back in time.

We enjoyed our guide Eszter who was very knowlegable about Jewish history in Budapest and Hungary. Our 3 sons ages 18- 22 really learned a lot about Jewish life in Budapest, specifically during WWII. We enjoyed all of the food stops, and our favorite was the traditional cakes. Eszter shared some personal stories of some of her relatives, which really brought the history to life. We liked the wine tasting at the end of the tour, and Eszter was very helpful with suggestions for other foods/restaurants she thought our family would enjoy.

Our guide Andre, Andrew aka Moishe was warm, insightful and knowledgeable. He made the tour for sure and shared his family history and the history of the Jewish people in Budapest. I could imagine the Ghetto wall where we stood.

I had the best matzoh ball I ever had. I don't want to ruin the other matzoh surprise for you. The wine was great and the food plentiful. We were a small group so he was able to work in a few special details just for us. It was very much appreciated that there was a little flexibility to meet our interests, Jewish and non Jewish alike.

Thank for a great day.

We had a wonderful guide who absolutely knew the history of both Jewish Cuisine and Culture in Budapest and Hungary. The food was fantastic, although don't expect it to be "kosher". We had a wonderful day exploring the old Jewish district and learning about the history in greater detail. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to explore a different side of culture and food.

I had been missing my friends from Israel and this walk was the best way to bring back memories in a very unique way. We learnt a lot about the history of the Jews in Budapest, what makes them unique and how food plays a vital role in distinguishing them! The food was lovely and very very tasty and we had to skip dinner! Definitely recommended!
