It can be difficult to decide whether a river or street tour is the best way to explore historic Budapest. Get the best of both with this amphibious tour, and travel by land to view the city’s iconic sites, such as St. Stephen’s Basilica and the Grand Synagogue, before descending into the Danube for a different perspective. Enjoy a thrilling adventure, while learning about the city’s history from your guide.
What to Expect

Meet your guide at a central location in Budapest and hop on board your coach. Listen as your guide provides historical context for the many landmarks you pass during the landed portion of your trip, including the Parliament of Budapest and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Look out for landmarks, such as St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Great Synagogue, the Hungarian Opera House and Heroes’ Square.

Next, your journey takes an aquatic dip, as your amphibious coach takes the Danube and continues the tour afloat. Hear the history of the iconic Chain Bridge as you pass under it, and admire the Buda Castle from your riverside vantage point. At the end of the tour, be dropped off at the original departure point, and continue your adventure in Budapest with new insight from this memorable tour.

Novelty soon wore off.

Not much of explanations, mostly pre recorded. Waste of good one hour. Route not too exciting either. Choose other ways to explore the city

An unusual experience

With only a few hours to see as much as possible of Budapest the bus/boat was an ideal choice. The first part, on the road, passed some interesting buildings including the second largest synagogue in the world, but the traffic was very busy and so...More
