- maritagC8787YQ0 contributionsPerfect amount of time to get to know BudapestA very thorough and informative review of Budapest. Petra is an expert guide, making sure we were a complete set as we explored the city on foot and metro. The group was small and not overwhelming as what sometimes happens when the count is too large. Fun group! Petra is an effective communicator and clearly knows the city and it’s history. Thank you, Petra for hosting and sharing beautiful Budapest with us <3Written September 24, 2024
- Woodcliffmom0 contributionsGreat for first time in BudapestNice walking tour from Pest side to Buda side. Rested briefly at a nice cafe w excellent strudels. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Will see most attractions w brief hx of Hungary.Written September 23, 2024
- LisaH1720150 contributionsGreat tour of Budapest!!We really enjoyed our tour with Monika. She is very informative and very friendly. I now know a lot about Budapest. And the stop for strudel couldn't be beat. We saw quite a lot of the city!!Written September 18, 2024
- NatFigs0 contributionsGood!Very beautiful and partially free (if you visit the outside area and the surroundings). It is a good spot to do some sightseeing of Pest. The cafés and restaurants in the complex are very expensive, so I wouldn’t recommend that. We were going to buy tickets for the church, when we saw a sign saying that there would be a free concert later that night. So we came back and not only visited it for free, but also listened to two choirs (one local and another one from the U.S.) —which was a good experience. Right next to the church, there is a Hilton hotel that is like a typical 80’s crystal box building and completely ruins the landscape. I don’t know why they allowed to put that there but —quiet frankly— they should demolish it. This is a historical and heritage site.Written September 18, 2024
- K9313BTellenp0 contributionsRecommend this tourAn enjoyable tour round the city, we learned lots of facts that I wouldn't have done walking round on our own, and covered a good distance too, seeing some things that we might otherwise have missed. The small group meant it was possible to ask questions etc. Stop for coffee and strudel was tasty 😊Written September 16, 2024
- 925AndreaL0 contributionsWonderful personalised tour of BudapestRebecca was an excellent knowledgeable guide on our walking tour. - FarAway622950230440 contributionsGreg the Guide is the best! True local experienceFantastic experience. Greg was great. We had a small group of 3 people, so it was very easy to move around amongst all the tourists. Greg took us on a more local view of the Buda castle area and gave us some great history about the area. Showed us some spots that tourists probably have no idea about! Gave us a great recommendation to go to the Black Raven restaurant in the Buda castle area for a more local experience. Would take another tour with Greg!Written August 26, 2024

Petra was a great tour guide! She is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of good, and interesting, facts about Budapest and took us to see quite a few sites. We definitely feel like we got a good feel for the history and city. The boat ride capped off a really great tour!

Wonderful city , clean well organized, to revisit because you acquire mastery in all services and enjoy it better. From the spa to the fishermen's ramparts etc..... It is advisable to take the tour package with mini cruise on the Danube and visit to the daisy island... And then lots of stuff

A fantastic way to see and understand some of the sights of beautiful Budapest. Our guide Petra was very knowledgeable and brought the history to life for us. The combination of daylight to evening, capped off with the lights of the city from the river was truly spectacular.

This was a very nice tour. Just two of us with Kopp. He was very informative and had a great sense of humor. As Americans he hit a couple of things that were off the beaten path that pertained to Hungary/US history. The night river cruise had amazing views. Would definitely suggest this tour.

Our guide was an extremely knowledgeable young man who seemed to enjoy my adult sons as much as we enjoyed him and the tour. The 2 hour walk did not seem long at all because we stopped to look at historic stops while hearing the history about the city. It was a great way to get aquainted with the city to see where we wanted to revisit and ended with a very relaxing boat ride to see the spectacular city of lights. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide was excellent!

Our young tour guide didn't share any more about Budapest that what I had already read in a guide book. We didn't see much on the walking part--stood around in several places. Not sure if guide was filling in, if it was first time or what, but you can do the Danube cruise part by itself for less than half the cost.

We booked this tour the first evening we arrived in Budapest and were very pleased we had done so. Our guide Jenei Zsolt was a professional guide with an amazing knowledge of history. His insights and recommendations set us off sure-footed on our sightseeing for the next three days. (Their headquarters is a shop tucked behind the Opera House which is undergoing restoration for the foreseeable.)

We booked this tour for our first night in order to gain an insight to the city. We were the only ones booked on this tour, yet it still went ahead. Zsolt was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and did not rush us around. Zsolt was very informative and made the walk enjoyable, showing us the main sights on the Pest side. He was able to answer any questions we had. We finished the evening with the boat tour which showed the city and bridges all lit up - beautiful. We walked around the city at a slow pace for about 2 hours and the boat trip took about 90 mins. The boat trip included a complimentary drink.

Although we were the only one who booked the tour, the tour still continued. We had Balint as tour guide, and he was very knowledgeable about the buildings the city, and the history of hungary. Also, the cruise was very relaxing and we were welcomed with a drink. Overall, we had a lovely tour and would definitely recommend it to other people!

Absolute Tours is easy to find in a street behind The Opera House. Lucky for us, no one else had booked so it was just my Husband and I on our own private tour with the lovely Kirsten. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were lead on a wonderful tour of many beautiful landmarks, and all the way Kirsten would be chatting away and letting us know all the relevant information. After 2 hours, Kirsten escorted us to a local pier where she made sure we were safely onboard our boat for the second part of our tour. We sailed up and down The Danube for an hour, including free drink. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Loved every minute and would definitely recommend.
