We had a wonderful time on this walking tour. Our guide, Rebecca, was extremely knowledgeable. We learned about the history of Budapest, some of it quirks, and even the public transportation system. The strudel was also very good. I highly recommend this tour.

Tour guide Petra covered everything that we would wanted. Establishments were explained thoroughly, very informative, not boring. We had time to take great photos and took in all the amazing views. Tour guide was pleasant and easy to follow!

I had a great experience with Absolute Tours in Budapest! The guide was friendly and informative, offering plenty of interesting facts about the city's history and landmarks. The small group size made the tour more personal, and the pace was just right. My only small complaint was that some of the stops could have used a bit more time to explore. Overall, it’s a fantastic way to see the main sights of Budapest, and I’d definitely recommend it!

Gregory was delightful! He grew up in the area and knows it inside and out. We saw the major sites as well a several off the beaten path sites. Definitely a 5 star -- we hated when the tour ended. The area is amazingly beautiful.

We booked this walking tour and river cruise on our first night to give us a good insight into what Budapest has to offer. Petra our guide was amazing, she certainly knew her stuff and we were lucky enough to end up with just us 4 so we got a private tour, asked loads of questions and really got to know not just the facts but all the local stories aswell. Petra really made us feel welcome and made us hungry for more knowledge. The city cruise after was just right for a simple sit down and watch the beautiful city scape pass us by. Highly recommended.

This was the best tour we took on our trip to Budapest. Greg was very knowledgable and equally entertaining, telling us about both experiences under Communism and the city around us. I’m still talking about it now I’m back home, a few hours very well spent.

Our tour guide, Anna, was EXCELLENT! By far, she’s our favorite guide during our entire two-week trip. We learned SO MUCH about the history, culture and significance of every historical landmark and district of Budapest. Her grasp of the information is remarkable and her English is impeccable — she’s very easy to understand and engaging. The tour was 4-hours, but it flew by and at least an hour is spent enjoying coffee & tea, a mixed plate of delicious strudel and chance to get to know the other travelers of our small group of five. I highly recommend this tour, especially if it’s your first time to Budapest and if you’re lucky enough to get Anna — you will not regret it!

We had a very informative 4 hour small group tour led by Balanc ( forgive the misspelling, I am sure). He was very knowledgeable regarding the history of Hungary as a country and the people; including past and present history interspaced with some dry humor and jokes that were appropriate to the topic being discussed. He was patient at answering questions and kept the group moving along without making us feel rushed. This tour also gives you an opportunity to learn how the public transit system works and he let us know that those of us 65+ ride for free! Would recommend without hesitation! Oh- and the strudel- make sure and try the cabbage and poppyseed!

Our guide Monica was very easy to hear and understand. We used the Metro to travel between many stops and walked a lot including stairs to the top of Buda. The strudel and coffee stop was excellent and refreshing. We ended the tour on the Buda side and took a tram back to Pest without difficulty after walking around on our own. A great way to be introduced to the city!
