Thomas took me all over the city, he knew interesting today bits of information that I wouldn’t have found in the tourist brochures, he was kind, professional and entertaining.
I had visited several of the attractions that Thomas had originally planned so he sat down with me, pulled out his map, and completely revised the schedule and I appreciated his flexibility and willingness to improvise.
I had a wonderful day!

We did our tour with Tamas and he was incredibly friendly, funny, informative and helpful. Our group had six people and he was great dealing with us all personally. We did this tour during our one day in Budapest and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get a good feel for the city. It started in the morning and ended around lunch time, so you had a great idea on places to explore further after the tour, like hitting the thermal baths or seeing other monuments or museums. You really get an idea of the overall city and the different areas. We also really enjoyed the cafe stop. Good to try the strudels and warm up!

Also Tamas was great with customizing the tour, such as our group expressed interest in the Hungarian language, so throughout the trip he would teach us little phrases or show us how to pronounce places and words. Just a great little touch from a enthusiastic guide.

We chose to have our own tour guide, who was called Rebecca. She was brilliant. She spoke fantastic English and was very knowledgable about the history of Hungary and Budapest in particular. We had 4 hours with her which included a cafe stop (coffee and strudel included in the tour cost) and was interesting to watch the strudel being made in front of us. I would recommend this tour early in your stay as it helped us get our bearings and was a focussed way to see Budapest. Otherwise the danger is to waste the day meandering around without an aim. Now we could spend the rest of our stay going back to places for longer that were of interest.

Well what can I say, what an amazing tour!! Chrisztina, was full of enthusiasm, spoke great English and gave us a wealth of knowledge about the beautiful city of Budapest. We were only on a very short stay of 2 nights, and this tour covered everything we could possibly want to know.
I would highly recommend it. The strudel in the cafe was delicious!!!
Thanks again Chrisztina x

Absolute Tour Review

Sunday 9th February 2020

My daughter and I visited Budapest for the first time this weekend and did the walking tour with Kristina. It was a fantastic experience because of how much we saw and learned, but also because of our amazing guide!
Kristina was extremely friendly and so passionate about telling our group about Budapest’s history and quirks. In 3 and a half hours we managed to get a really good bearing of the city centre, some lovely photos and tips on what to see afterwards - she was right, Szent István’s Bazilika was phenomenal!
A really big thank you to Kristina for making us feel so at home, we’ll be highly recommending her and the tour to anyone visiting Budapest!

One of the best walking tour we have had by far. We walked to Absolute Tour office as the meeting point and start of the tour. I felt we were given a feel of the city as we rode the train to heroes square where Christina our tour guide started our history lesson of Hungary. From the
discovery of the country by the first settlers and through periods reigned by various kings. I enjoyed the stop at a delicious local strudel shop. We made our way to Buda and climbed up from the bridge to the tower. All this time we were still getting our dose of the history. Christina had her way of making everything interesting. She is very well
versed and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Best way to have a first hand feel of the city.

Overall had a great time on the walking tour. Our guide Balint was very knowledgeable and a down-to-earth guy. He had suggestions for places to visit after the tour which I thought was helpful. We covered quite a few places and didn’t felt rushed at all. The snack/tea break in the middle was a nice touch too. Definitely would recommend for those that want an intro to Budapest.
