    Danube bend tour
We've recently participated in Food Tour Budapest's new Danube Bend Gastronomy tour, and enjoyed the entire day with Nora and our friends! Nora took us to hidden gems of the area, we tasted great wines, had a lovely barbecue lunch at a local family home, learned so much about pálinka, and saw the beautiful scenery of the Danube Bend. Thank you Nora, excellent organization, wonderful experience, one of the best food tours we have ever been ot.

Perfect day enjoying the Danube Bend tour
Perfect pampering throughout the whole day! We went on the Danube Bend tour and it was a perfect, relaxing day filled with great food and drinks at each location. We also got to see wonderful panoramic views of the Danube bend along the way and at some of the stops. It's hard to choose which tasting location was the best, because they are all just great on their own. If we had to choose one, we'd say we enjoyed the wine tasting and palinka tasting the most. I'd definitely recommend going on the tour as it was a thoroughly positive experience with amazing locations and a wonderful guide.

    One of Our Favorite Tours!
We booked this tour during a one month visit of Eastern European Capitals that started in Prague and ended in Istanbul. It turned out to be just the two of us plus the tour guide. Nora did an excellent job of giving us the historical and cultural aspects the cuisine of Budapest, as well as providing a wide variety of food. One of our favorite tours during this 3 week trip. If you are in Budapest I highly recommend this as your first tour.

Perfect start to our stay in Budapest
If you want to experience authentic Budapest we highly recommend this walking food tour with Nora. It is an excellent way to learn about traditional food, history of Budapest and Hungary. We ate a lot of food - which was very tasty - and a lot of talking as we walked the streets of Budapest. The pace of the tour was relaxed and we never felt rushed. Nora's tour set us up for the rest our stay as she showed us a number of cafes and attractions that she recommended we visit. We learnt a lot about Hungarian food as well European food.

    Food Tour in Budapest w/Nora
Nora was a thorough & informative tour guide on this food tour of Budapest with my group of 12 friends. She offered not only food & culture info, but also intermingled history for perspective and timeline purposes. She answered questions with ease, and even answered other questions that helped our friends' group find what they needed in terms of shopping & other tour possibilities. It was a fun & tasty & informative tour!

    Pure Budapest
This food tour was the highlight of our 3 days in the amazing city of Budapest . Not only is the food amazing but the history and insight into Hungarian culture was impressive. The tour lasted several hours yet the time flew by. Nora did an amazing job of keeping is fed, entertained, and more importantly gave us a tour of a life time . I always try to go to a food tour when I'm visiting a new country but this one has easily been the best. Thank you, Nora.

    Eat Drink and See Budapest
Wow what a way to eat and drink while touring and getting to know the beautiful city of Budapest .Nora is the best ever host, who graciously shares her culinary knowledge and historical knowledge of Budapest. Loved having a morning stop to sample traditional breakfast items of mushroom type toast ,lard and onion toast, etc. Loved seeing the historical areas of Pest such as the Jewish neighborhood, the ruin bar area. Then on to the Great Market Hall with all the fresh vegetables, meats, spices, etc. Afterwards we work up an appetite and move on to lunch for a typical lunch at -Korhely restaurant with bean goulash soup with langos, regional wines, and Pálinka. I can't think of a better way to see Pest and eat and drink along the way with such person as Nora. You just need to do it and you will not be disappointed. Highlight of our trip for sure! Thanks Nora!

Nora is extremely knowledgeable about the cuisine (she attended culinary school), culture, and history of Hungary and its food. We began with a typical Hungarian breakfast at a local cafe, then went to the Great Market where we discussed paprika and other unique ingredients to the cuisine. We then walked and discussed history, ruin bars, jewish neighborhoods and influences, and had a wonderful lunch (including goulash!) at an amazing local spot. Nora really brings it all to life and is knowledgeable and passionate. A must do experience in Budapest!

This was the most fulfilling activity we had at Budapest. Nora is a great guide, she told us about the history of Hungary, Budapest and especially about the food culture. Tour was very well planned, in addition to the food stops we had, we also visited the market to see the ingredients. We had a tour in the city center also, listening stories from Nora (about the bar culture, Hungarian football, Jewish life and many more). We have tasted Fasirt (meatball), Zsiros Kenyer (open sandvich), goulash, langosh, charcuterie meats, lecso, szatrapcska and some more and also the deserts and also the wines and unicom & palinka and more. Its not be missed.

Nora was a friendly, knowledgeable and, fun tour guide. We learnt loads about the main dishes and culinary produce of Hungary as well as lots about Budapest: it’s history and it’s present. There were delicious tastings throughout the tour, which included a wonderful traditional meal at a lovely restaurant in an area of Budapest that was one of the many we would not have discovered without Nora. Nora also gave lots of great tips of where to eat, where to drink and how best to buy traditional Hungarian produce.

My wife and I recently went on the Small Group Culinary Walking Tour guided by Nora. We enjoyed the tour very much, which greatly enhanced our whole experience of visiting the beautiful city of Budapest. We were taken by Nora to many interesting areas of the city whilst being given background information and history on the way. The food and drink was delicious and the locations, cafes and restaurants were all very nice. I adored the Fasirt which is a kind of meatball Mmmm. We both had a great time and would highly recommend the tour. Thank you Nora from Mark & Fiona.

Our walking/culinary tour was such delightful experience! Nora gave an outstanding overview of the history and traditions of Hungarian food. She was so knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy sharing her love of cooking. We went to a cafe for a traditional breakfast which included a delicious aperitif called Palinka. Onto the great market hall for a salami tasting. Followed by lunch with gulyas soup and other specialties along with delicious Hungarian wines. Next came other stops for cakes, coffee, chimney cake........we were full and happy!

We highly recommend this tour. Nora was amazing. Thank you Nora!

Nora was an incredible guide on this tour. This is a MUST DO in Budapest. She gave the group so much information on the history and gastronomy of the country. She took great care of us throughout the tour, which took about 5.5 hours! The food was delicious and you can see how much pride Nora (and all Hungarians) has in her country and culture. Enjoy delicious, authentic food while seeing the gorgeous architecture of this city. I would give this tour more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you, Nora! Our group had the best time.

Enjoyed the tour. Nora was very knowledgeable, pleasant and always willing to help. Not a big deal, with the amount paid, maybe the amount of local liquor and wine can be a little more. But overall, it was a good experience.

We were so lucky to secure the services of Nora. My wife and I booked last minute. Despite there only being the two of us Nora kindly showed us around Budapest and gave a very informative and fun culinarily tour with some lovely food and wine along the way. Highlights were breakfast at this lovely authentic restaurant and a guided tour around the Budapest food markets. We also had a lovely lunch at a great restaurant and desert and an award winning patisserie. We love doing walking culinary tours and both agreed that this is one of the very best that we have done. Thanks so much Nora!!

Nora was an amazing guide. We learned about the long and complex history of Hungary. We enjoyed at least 6 tastings of local cuisine, drinks and sweets. We spent time at the central market. We loved learning about paprika and purchased a number of types. It was a wonderful walk through historic Pest. It was a day well spent.

Nora was just fantastic, my wife and I were supposed to go on the tour but she was sick and wanted me to go ahead without her. (Major Bummer)..
I was the only person on the tour!!
That made it very special, she shared a great deal of background and history on each of the places we stopped at.
The great thing about the tour was that it was much more than just food. We walked by many significant attractions and at each one she discussed much more than I had heard before from other tours in Budapest.
Many special thanks to Nora for a great tour.
