I booked the starter Tour-it was my first time ever for stand up paddling. Our coach Zala did a very good job explaining everything and giving some extra information and facts about the city.
Also we tried a few challenges on the boards for extra fun, but nobody was pushed to to anything.
The view from the river to the old city of Ljubljana is wonderful, especially in the evening. All in all I can just recommend this tour.

We had a great SUP tour of Ljubljana with Naja. The communication and organisation was excellent beforehand. We got to use 5 super stable and excellent Red SUP boards. Naja was really friendly and great at going through some of the highlights and history of Ljubljana. She also took time to take lots of phots and a really nice touch was that these were provided free rather than the usual expectation that you need to pay for them. We would highly recommend Naja and Bananaway tours if you want to do a SUP tour of Ljubljana.

Great thing to do as a family with teenagers. No previous experience didn’t matter as Naja from bananaway gave us a quick lesson which got us all up and going. What a nice friendly and chatty guide for our paddle along the river, mixing history, with answering our questions about modern Slovenia and giving us a few additional hints and tips to improve our paddle boarding. Would recommend Naja and bananaways as a fab way to do something different and see the Ljbuljana from a different angle

Very nice activity on the Ljubljana river. A relaxed way to discover the city from the water. Really nice guide and instructor that showed us how to SUP in a very short time and told us also a lot about Ljubljana. If you want to do something different in the city we recommend to do this activity at Bananaway!

We booked a SUP paddle board tour as part of our honeymoon. Naja was really good at explaining the basics and how to transition between kneeling and standing up. She was very encouraging and helpful, and made sure we had a really enjoyable time. It’s also a really fun way to explore the city of you want something different from the usual boat tours. Thanks!

I really enjoyed the experience, it was beautiful. Iris is a great guide and we were chatting the whole time, she explained a lot of interesing things about Ljubljana and the city itself. We got some beautiful photos and the sightseeing from the river is marvelous. The activity is suitable for beginners and advanced because you quickly learn the basics. I would recommend this activity to every tourist coming to Ljubljana. Great organization!

Paddling through the river Ljubljanica was a great experience! We watched the city from another perspective than you would get to see from land. Saw some beavers alongside the river as well :D Our guide Naja gave us a proper introduction to how to use the SUP board, and was helpful througout the whole session. Would definetly recommend this going forward- both for beginners and more experienced. The only comlaint we have is the mosquitos :) With love from the norwegian girls, Kristina & Helene

This is a great way to see Ljubljana from a different perspective. If you’ve never tried SUP before this is a great place to learn and it’s easy to pick up the basics. I would also recommend taking the trip to Soca valley with this operator as the scenery there is beautiful.

I had booked very late when visiting the city. Unfortunately there were forecasted thunderstorms so the company moved up the time to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
The instructor Naja was helpful and enthusiastic. It is an experience worth booking to see the city from a different perspective.

This SUP tour was an excellent way for my wife and I to undertake an alternative tour of the river in Ljubljana with a friendly guide (Naja) while having a go at SUPing. My wife was a complete beginner but soon had the hang of it. A brilliant couple of hours.
The booking process was very easy, and the meeting point very easy to find and right next to the bicycle stations.
I would recommend this tour wholeheartedly.
