Our Slovenia tour with Barbara was incredible! From Ljubljana to Nova Gorica, Piran to the Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. With each step, she was mindful of our personal interests and truly showed us the beauty of this country. Then - a truly over-the-top surprise, when she located relatives of our Slovenian family roots! It was a tour we will never forget, as we shared it with a wonderful person. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed Barbara; her knowledge, sharing of her life experience living in the region, her sense of humour, very professional. Barbara is an amazing guide. We asked her to take us from Ljubliana to a small village in southern Slovenia where my father grew up. She also offered to do some extra genealogical research with the help of a friend, to find out more about my father’s family. We expected to generally visit the area and drive by some possible homestead sites. With Barbara’s perseverance and guidance, we got so much more than that. We met and were warmly welcomed by cousins she tracked down and contacted in advance. She translated between us where necessary, and led the way to further places in the area which my father had known. The whole experience was mind-blowing, and it would not have happened without Barbara’s help. She was kind and helpful throughout the day, and her communication with us before our trip was excellent. Even if you are not on a family pilgrimage as we were, her knowledge of the area, including the people, history and politics will show you a Slovenia you will not forget. Hire Barbara!

Barb gave us a great 9 day private tour of Slovenia! Besides being very knowledgeable, I feel like we experienced some hidden gems that only a native would know about. She was also very flexible as to out changing schedule. I would highly recommend Barb!!
