My guide was Alenka. She met me at the hotel from there we went to the start of the hike. My recommendation is wear good shoes - no flip flops. Most of the time you are in the shade. There are some steep parts but take your time. Alenka even had hiking poles for me. The poles were great for the way done. Once you get to the top the view is outstanding. Lunch is provided at the top. Highly recommend!

Alenka is Wonder Woman of Ljubljana. Fantastic Guide, super knowledgeable, enjoyable to be around and versatile with her Tours. Anything you care to know or want to explore more, she goes with it. Our Day Tour was no cookie cutter experience and it's obvious Alenka knows how to read her Clients in order to provide them a very personalized experience. We circumnavigated Old Town Ljubljana exploring the many little details that make it such an interesting place. It was great having some better understanding of the history, traditions, daily life and current events. Fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Our visit to Ljubljana and time with Alenka further affirmed our love for beautiful Slovenia.

Ljubljana is a charming town with a surprisingly rich musical history. This guided walk, accompanied by a solo violin takes you away from some of the noisier parts of town and opens a different side of the Slovenian capital. Our guide, Alenka was knowledgeable and flexible enough to accommodate our group for a daytime tour when a rainy Sunday night prompted us to reschedule. She included a special stop for lunch and our violinist gave us a long farewell that drew the attention of several passers by. It was a lovely way to pass a few hours in a lovely town.

Even before our tour, our guide Alenka was very responsive to my many emails with many questions. She offered to book us a taxi from the airport, explaining how it would cost a lot more to hail a cab at the airport. She also was quick to recommend a number of restaurants for our lunch before the tour and our remaining time in Ljubljana. She was very accomodating and flexible, and very knowledgeable about the city, sharing many facts and tidbits that we would not have gotten had we just walked around ourselves. A private tour is the best way to get the most out of a short stay and I highly recommend one with Alenka!

I loved this musical walking tour! It was pretty much a repeat of the tour I had with my group, but having a private guide and a private violinist was a treat. I had no idea how to even tip such a magnificent evening. The owner joined us in a great restaurant where the music continued, and the four of us ate and talked so much, we almost forgot to move on to the wine tasting. It felt like old friends at the end, and we parted with hugs. I was happy to help support the musical heritage of Ljubljana. It was a magical evening I will never forget! Thank you!!! xxxx

Tourist information office offers guided tours in dozen of languages. Some guides are native speakers of Japanese, German, French, others are better in history or geography. Find a short walk for two hour or something special (bike, Plečnik’s walk or Archeology of Emona). You will see much more with a guide than alone, reading just some very short information from the guide book. Best guiding is with small groups when you can walk or stop and guides from Ljubljana can explain anything, not just the official information about history-art-souvenirs. I just miss special guides for people from different regions of Slovenija and their dialects (Štajerska, Prekmurje, Primorska).

At some point I realized, that I don’t know lot of things about my hometown. I watch all that beautiful architecture and statues every day, but what do I really know about them? So that was why I decided to go for organized trip around Ljubljana with Ljubljana Guides. The tour that we take was very well organized. Alenka & Tomaž (guides) are very clever, funny, educated and vigorous guides. They told us many interesting things about city in a very interesting way and gave us a lot of important fact about town history and architecture. They show us a lot of hard-to-find architectural details. Now every time I cross Galeria Emporium, I saw the face of the first owner of that building, for which I didn’t know that exist there.  Stories behind all the pretty buildings are fascinating and it really helps me to see the city in completely different way. The tour was really very interesting and educational even for us who live or work in Ljubljana. And the violinist who was walking with the group made that special atmosphere. While he was playing I could rethink all the information and make my own picture of historical Ljubljana in my head. I enjoyed that violin sound and the peace that came in the group with that sound. I enjoyed that tour very much and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Having lived overseas for a good decade this tour around the most beautiful city (in my world), was fantastic!!! The tour was so well organized that even my kids (almost 3 and 5) had a wonderful time. The magic boat ride was the best. Amazing tour around the capital city - we've seen all the treasures of Ljubljana introduced in a very interesting way. Guides gave all the important facts and the violinist who was walking with the group made the amazing atmosphere. I've attended walking tours before all over Europe but this one was really special. I recommend it to everyone who visit Ljubljana.

My wife and I attended the tour organized by Ljubljana Guides. It was very interseting and educational even for us who live in Ljubljana. We saw a lot of unknown places and architectual jewels we didn't know about until then. Tomaž (guide) told us many interesting things about town history and architecture. The violine player was also outstandnig. I highly recomend this tour to everyone.

I've seen a lot of tour guides in my time and I have to say these were one of the best! Guides are very clever, educated and knowledgeable; they really know what they're talking about. Stories behind all the pretty buildings are fascinating and it really helps you to see the city in a completely different light. Even my boyfriend who is not such a history enthusiast as I am enjoyed it :) Highly recommended!

We are family of 4 and we decided to take a tour with music walk and with Ljubljana Castle. We had such a great time and fun. The tour guide was fantastic! She showed us many hidden places of Ljubljana, explained the history of the city in an interesting manner so that even children (6 and 7 years) enjoyed it. Awesome experience and good value of money. Highly recommended!!

Very interesting tour with knowledgeable and professional guides, who also took us to places off the beaten path, including many exquisite, hard-to-find architectural and cultural pearls. It is amazing how this small city can have such a rich history and so many beautiful locations. The food is great in Ljubljana, the natives are very friendly. I'll happily go there again.

We are a group of 4 people age 25 - 40. We decided to visit Prague, Vienna and Ljubljana. The last mentioned is a warm beautiful city, with unique atmosphere and incredibly rich history. As the city is smaller from those 2, I didn't know much about it before. With help of this agency I got an awesome experience and sturdy image of a city. I couldn't recommend them more, as they are funny, proud, educated and vigorous! After the tour we even went together to enjoy some delicious home made Slovene craft beer at Ljubljanica´s river side.
