Absolutely amazing tour. Klemen was fantastic and super friendly. The tour is what you make it at the spots. Theres something for everyone, whether its hiking, swimming, rowing, or strolling around places.

Plitvice Lakes - a must see.
This was a wonderful tour and our guide, Dado, was exceptionally caring and knowledgeable and we learnt so much about Zagreb on the drive to Plitvice Lakes. It is a 10 hour tour so a very long day for us in our mid seventies with a couple of injuries to cope with and 4 hours of walking inclines/steps, a quick train ride and 2 boat trips crossing lakes. The Lakes are stunning and cover a huge area and worthwhile seeing. If you are lucky enough to get Dado as your guide, he will take good care of you. He is delightful.

          AMAZING TOUR!
Fantastic experience and well worth the money! The views were spectacular! Excellent advice on selecting what to see and do. Clemen was our guide. He spoke great English and was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the locations he showed us. He gave us many insights into life in slovenia both past and present and city vs country life. Pick up and drop offs were seamless! Great driver, even on small, windy roads!

          Zagreb Food Walking Tour
The Zagreb Food Walking Tour by Roundabout was ultimately disappointing. While the tour guide was informative as we walked to each stop, at every stop he did not sit or engage with the tour, but rather left us to our own devices and was on his phone. One of the restaurants selected was also not great food. Unfortunately I can not recommend this tour - I would respectfully suggest the tour company attend other food tours in Europe which are more fun, engaging and capture the essence of the local cuisine.

This day trip is a must-do!
A small group of 8 individuals embarked on an amazing trip that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The journey from Zagreb to Ljubljana took just one and a half hours, allowing us to appreciate the beautiful center of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. From there, we headed to the quaint town of Bled, where we reveled in the serenity of the lake and ascended to the castle to take in the stunning scenery.

The best way to see and learn about Ljubljana!
We had the most amazing time with our guide (I feel horrible but I can’t remember her name, I believe it sounded like Tess - she had blonde hair). It felt as if we had been friends with her forever. She had extensive knowledge of the local cuisine and we learnt so much from her! The food was fantastic and we enjoyed tasting all of the different wines. We definitely got our moneys worth as we learnt so much about Slovenia on the way to each stop. Thank you for an amazing afternoon and the great memories!

          Great time!
Patrick was a great guide and host. He provided alot of informative information and history on areas we went to. He gave us ample time to explore Ljubljana and Lake Bled. Would definitely recommend Patrick and to friends and family.

          Awesome trip to Bled
Adrian our guide was very experienced and kept us informed along the way of the history and culture of Slovenia. The tour was very well organised and we had plenty of time to see everything.

Excellent tour and guide but too expensive
We went on a tour from Zagreb to Slovenia - included the drive to the capital and to lake bled Now the tour guide was Dado - who was excellent! Flexible, polite and so very knowledgable! He really made the day great. However - it's an expensive tour for what you get. We pay a 104 pounds each just for the drive really (and there were 8 of us in the car). Nothing is included (castle 17 euros, boat 18 euros). The boat is absolutely worth it so don't miss it but the castle entry was not. You just pay for a view really and it's better from the ground.(attached picture from the top). Anyway, the tour was well organised, punctual with an excellent guide but could be cheaper!

Great day trip to Ljubljana and Lake Belles from Zagreb
Day trip from Ljubljana and Lake Bled from Zagreb was great. Ivan was our driver and tour guide and he made sure we are all taken cared of and shared lots of information about Croatia, Slovenia and sprinkled some personal stories too. Highly recommended.

Nice tour, though not exactly small group
Nice tour, with plenty of food but very small wine portions. The guide was nice and had a good knowledge of local history, which she managed to convey very well. This was not exactly a small group tour, with a group of 16, and therefore became somewhat hurried.

          Bad organisation but great guide.
Fantastic guide: he was wonderful. My problem is with the company booking this tour for people doing a half day tour AND those doing a full day. We had an hour drive to take them back to Ljubljana after the Caves, pick up new people, and drive 45 mins to Bled. I spent close to four hours of this tour just driving. I would have booked two separate half day tours had I known this was the day’s itinerary. Plenty of free time to wander and do your own thing. It seemed to be arranged for the company’s convenience, and not for ensuring a good client experience. And, again, the guide was wonderful.

Due to unusual circumstances our tour was delayed 3hrs, however, Roundabout Travel worked with us to provide a memorial trip. I can't stress enough how amazing Klemen, our tour guide was. Even though it was his day off and he was asked last minute to replace our original tour guide, he did so happily and with great enthusiasm. Klemen made sure we still saw everything we were supposed to see, without feeling rushed. It was like spending the day with a good friend who happened to know a lot about the history, geography, wine, and much more of his country. Slovenia is a beautiful country and this trip allowed us to explore and experience a small part of it. I would definitely book another trip through Roundabout and would love to have Klemen guide me through other regions of the country.

A lovely day out with roundabout travel, especial as the weather in Ljubljana was due to be very wet and the South coast had lovely blue skies. Due to it being out of season and we were the only couple on the tour our driver was able to adapt our tour and we were able to spend more time at the stud farm in exchange for less time at piran. Of course if there had been others on the trip we may well have had to make do with just viewing the horses from a road way stop instead of a actual visit to the the farm. The caves were not suitable for me as I am disabled, but I enjoyed a coffee and the views whilst hubby did the 1.5hr trip into the caves.

The tour was supposed to start at 8:30 and yet nobody showed up to the pick up point. After a few calls I started to worry, I’m not sure who I spoke to but they were very apologetic and told me that the tour guide had set off but now wasn’t in contact and hadn’t picked any one else up for the tour.

Within an hour they had sorted another tour guide for us to come at 11:30. I was slightly worried at this was to be a 10.5 hour tour so I looked like I was going to miss out on some destinations.

Our tour guide arrived, his name was Klemen. He was supposed to be on his day off and yet he was very willing to push the time of the tour later to allow us all to see all the destinations.

Klemen was very informative, he made this a day to remember for me and I think the other guests.

He also took us through a few other spots on the way back which was the cherry on the top.

The only disappointing part was the three hour wait which obviously took away any plans for the evening.

Other than that it was great. Thank you very much Klemen

Borut was a knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly guide who allowed us some flexibility with the schedule after only myself and my husband had booked on the tour that day. We found the pacing of the day and variety of sights to be enjoyable and it did not feel too hectic or tiring as some long day trips can be. A great way to see more of this wonderful country without needing to hire a car or spent a long time on public transport!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the tour co and both the guides whom had been amazing in providing me a memorable experience. I am taking back home with some beautiful cherished memories. I was able to cover a lot of areas, didn't feel rushed or pressurised. Lake Bled and Castle, Vintgar Gorge, Bohinj and Piran, Lipica trips that I have undertaken. The tour guides were passionate, laid back, knowledgeable, helpful, quality, accommodating, didn't feel like a tourist and provided an excellent, smooth sailing service. Tours were well organised. I would recommend to my friends and family.

Thanks once again and best wishes to the team.

        Regards,

It was only the two of us so the tour was more flexible timewise. The weather was nice, and the day worked out perfectly. The guide, Yan, took us right on time to the cave for the 10 o'clock guided tour. We could spend more time in Piran so we had enough time for lunch and sightseeing. We got back to hotel about 1 hour earlier than expected. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants both cave and seaside village experience in one day.

I loved this day trip and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Slovenia. Our guide was incredibly informative, helpful and friendly and I felt like I got so much more out of the day than stated in the advertisement. I was travelling solo and thought I might feel left out but this was not the case as the guide made us all feel welcome and got us all talking. The attractions were beautiful with a good amount of time spent at each and plenty of local recommendations from our guide. Pick up and drop off was an easy process and the van had good air conditioning. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you!

        Totally worth a visit.
Skocjan Caves is nature at its best is indeed a unique treasure. With the tour you have enough time to see most of the area.
Lipica it's a very short visit. Through request you can spend more time but there is no time then to visit Piran.
Don't worry tour guide will help you decide what is the best time management to see everything.

The tour was very enjoyable. Clement(?) was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who told us lots of background and stories about Slovenia and the places we visited.

The timing of everything was also good - we went on a guided tour of the caves, tried the prosciutto and teran wine, had 2.5 hours to enjoy Piran, stopped by Predjama castle for photos (we didn't go in), and made it back to Ljubljana just before 7pm. However, we were told that traffic is much worse in Summer, so that may affect how relaxed the tour feels.

Our guide i believe his name was Borat krog. Not sure if correct but he was one of the best guides i had on my stay in Slovenia. He was very knowledgable and filled the drive for the day with Slovenian history which i found interesting. I chose this tour for the Skocjan caves and they did not disappoint. I did another tour of the Postojna caves and both are amazing but Skocjan Caves i personally liked better. Lipica was interesting based just on history of the horses and personal stories guide shared. Piran was pretty and we were given two hours of free time. You get to see how close Croatia and Italy are to Slovenia.
