Whilst Tina appears very young, she is a qualified sommelier, which is evident by the knowledge she has not only of Slovenian wine regions/local grapes/styles but how they compared to other countries/regions. The wines are all very good, and there are some surprises (no spoilers). There are some nibbles which complement the wines. It would have been even better if we could go through some of the scents and tasting notes per wine, and why they were there - were the smell and flavour factors present because of production, the type of soil, etc? I am writing this review as I think it would be helpful to let others know before booking. We had a fun experience, the sommelier was knowledgeable, and the wine was tasty. However, there are a few things I think people should know before and that could have been a bit with clarity of the price and extra charges.
Our host was about 15 minutes though the booking was 8:30-10:30 which was disappointing given that we paid for the whole time. Another thing is that there are options to enhance your experience on top of the 55 euros (such as adding chocolates or more wine) which we chose not to do. This wine tasting was a bit of a splurge for me as I am traveling on a budget, but wanted to enjoy a fun night.
In the middle of the tasting, we were offered chocolates as well as others, which we declined, but the ones who said yes were told after they ate them that they would be charged. The whole group was offered 2 extra samples of wine tasting and we all agreed to try more, but it was not after my glass was poured and while other glasses were being poured that we were told it was 15 euros per extra sample. I declined the next sample after finding this information out and was offered it “on the house”, but it was really disrespectful and I did not enjoy the sneaky way this was offered. It was made to seem as though it was free but not until after the wine was open and being poured were we told we were being charged.
I think it is only fair that people are told what they will be paying for. I hope this information helps. Happy and safe travels to all who sign up.

The wine was tasty and the sommelier friendly, but the experience did not live up to what is advertised here. It lasted barely 1.5 hours, ending early at 10pm. The sommelier rushed through everything with barely time to finish each drink before the next came. There were not any games or anything interactive except for one guest who was blindfolded to guess one drink. Nothing provided for note taking or ranking the wine. One basket of bread, cheese, and olives were offered at each table, but there was an additional charge of 5 Euros for a few tiny squares of a chocolate bar (nothing special, just from a regular grocery store) to pair with the wine. Also, if purchased on site the wine tasting was advertised at 39euros each. Much less than the approx $63 per person I paid here! I’d suggest taking your money and just trying a few glasses of wine from a nice restaurant instead. Very disappointing.

We'd like to clarify that the advertised price of 39 euros was indeed from before the pandemic and was not updated at that time. We're sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

We had a wonderful experience tasting wine with Boris! Boris was incredibly knowledgeable of Slovenian wine and did a great job educating us. Boris will make you laugh, tell you all you need to know about Slovenian wine, and keep your glass full. Highly recommend!

Couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough.
We ended up getting the ‘extra’ package and had 10 tasters.
Boris (the host) was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wines as well as being very charismatic. He loves his Slovenian wines and it shows.
We couldn’t believe how good this Slovenian was. It’s the most underrated wine in the world.
Boris even ended with some top recommendations for our next stops in Piran and Brda.
We will do the exact same experience if we ever holiday back in the beautiful Lake Bled

We did the wine tasting tour with Tina, and had an absolute blast. Not only was the wine some of the best we’ve had, but Tina was incredibly engaging, informative, and so much fun! Both of us agreed that this may have been the best wine tasting experience we have ever had, and we haven’t stopped raving about it. We had no knowledge of Slovenian wines before this trip, but we fell in love with every glass we tried during our time here. Tina made the experience that much better with her stories and explanations of the different wine regions and styles. We were laughing the entire time. Already planning another trip to Slovenia to experience the different regions and hopefully join in on the harvest festival. Thank you, Tina, for the most amazing time!

It was an amazing experience. Boris was so friendly and fun. We got to taste some of the best wines in Slovenia. It was really informative and fun at the same time. I would highly recommend to everyone who comes to visit Slovenia wine tasting with Boris its a MUST, trust me, you'll thank me later.

Boris was a fantastic host and knew a lot about the wine that we were tasting. He had some great stories regarding the history as well as how the wine was made. The wine itself might be some of the best wine we have tasted! My wife and I had a great two hour experience which turned into be a private one! We would definitely recommend this to all travellers going to bled. Thanks Boris!

This is easily the best wine tasting I have been to, across multiple countries. Boris is an incredible, fun host, and because it is a small-group tasting he personalises it to the guests on the day. Lots of bread, cheese, & pumpkin seed oil was provided for nibbles, we had the option to add chocolate pairings to some of the wines which really elevated the experience, and as we were feeling good the group voted to add a couple of more tastings on, which we were allowed to choose ourselves. A really fun evening, learned lots about Slovenian wines and the different wine regions. Great value for money and I would recommend to anyone interested in experiencing the great variety of wines available in Slovenia.

We can 100% recommend this event with Boris who was a great host and adjusted the amount of information on wine to our needs. The wines he offered were extremely delicious and we bought quite some bottles right after the event. We would totally participate again when we are in Bled as it was fun, tasty and educational.

We spent a very enjoyable evening at the Wine Tasting Experience in Bled. I cannot say enough good things about our enthusiastic, friendly, and informative leader. She was really energetic and her passion for Slovenian wines really showed! We learned a lot in a short time, and it was such a neat chance to try diverse wines from so many different regions. There was a nice mix of fun and information too.
There are a few minor tweaks that I might make to bring this event up to 5*. To begin with, perhaps share the name of the restaurant, not just the address. We were somewhat lost wandering dark streets looking for a number -- the restaurant would have been an easy landmark. And secondly, probably our fault, it didn't occur to us to eat beforehand. There wasn't enough food to count as dinner, and all the local restaurants were closed by the time the event was over. Other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend this awesome evening to anyone staying in Bled!
