Grega is top! He takes into account your condition and takes the time so you can adapt. He also gives some tips and tricks to reach top. During the hike he also gives some extra information (history, origin, …), which gives just the extra! If you want a nice trip - one adress!!

We did a self-guided 7 day “Alps to Adriatic” tour with Hike & Bike in July ‘23. We had a great trip and Grega did a fantastic job planning our itinerary and then handling the daily logistics. Our itinerary was based on one of his standard routes, but Grega made some custom adjustments that we requested (added stops at Skocjan caves and Lipica, changed a few hotels, etc.) Grega was always responsive and organized, and everything came together perfectly. Our bikes were great (2023 Specialized Rockhopper), our bags were always waiting for us at the next hotel as if by magic, and Grega loaned us all of the bike gear that we neglected to bring. No glitches ever. About the cycling; we chose an itinerary for mountain bikes, but Grega also rents road bikes, gravel bikes, and e-bikes and will tailor the routes accordingly. We had some tough days (ex: 75km with 1600m climbing) but it was manageable and it was always gratifying to finish. My wife and I are in our 50s, and are marathon runners but not real cyclists. The route was a mix of auto roads, paved cycle paths, gravel, fire roads, and a bit of single track. There were a few places where we were on fairly busy roads with no shoulder, but we never felt unsafe. And the scenery is so spectacular. This was a great cycling holiday and I strongly recommend Grega and Hike&Bike.

We were so fortunate to find this company on day 2 of a self guided tour with another company. We needed to replace the bikes we’re had and the bikes that Hike&Bikevhave provided have MADE our holiday. I can imagine where we’d be without these bikes. When I return to SLO to cycle, I will book with HIKE&BIKE for sure!

We had a fantastic trip with Hike and Bike! We worked with Grega to plan to a 12 day self-guided bike tour of Slovenia and it was amazing. We started in Bohinj then made our way through the Julian Alps, down through the Soca Valley, to the wine region of Brda then finally to the Adriatic Sea. Grega and his team planned the routes, hotels, and provided suggestions on where to eat and what to see. We brought our own bikes from home and carried our own luggage. For the most part, we stayed in upscale 4-star boutique hotels which were great. We felt the price was very fair and we were really happy to work with a local tour company. The bike riding in Slovenia, particularly the Alps, is definitely challenging so make sure you are ready for some serious climbing! If you're like us and from the flat Midwest USA, make sure you get some training in before you go! Despite some long, challenging rides, the scenery made it all worth it. Slovenia is a beautiful country and well-worth a visit. We highly recommend Hike and Bike!

We rented 2 bikes. I reserved them through email after hours and got confirmation email and answer to my questions in few minutes. After I returned bikes, my personal bike had issues with gear and Grega happily fixed it for no charge. Great, friendly service …

The Juliana Northwest Trail was a huge disappointment. More than half of everyday was walking on paved roads, sometimes on busy roads. The day into Italy was 10+km along a busy highway with no shoulder, no shade. This was the worst day, but every other day was also too long on paved roads, flat gravel roads, bike paths with nothing to see but scrub bush. It is NOT a hike in the mountains, but skirts around the mountains. The walking was often tedious. The descriptions on the website and in the app are not accurate as they give a rosy picture of remote, picturesque hiking, which this trail is not! The arrangements by Helia travel were good; they always gave friendly and prompt service and I would recommend them. But I would advise strongly against the Juliana Northwest hike.

These guys are the BEST!!! I can't say enough good things about their wonderful, friendly and efficient service!!! They really go the extra mile to make sure that their guests have a great experience. Grega and his staff are very professional, very thorough in their logistics and just genuinely really nice people. Highly recommended!!!!

Grega is super professional. I sent him an email with multiple questions. He called me, and in 8min, i had a decent understand and comfort of doing the Julian Trail. He even gave me recommendations that would result in me not using his service. Which shows that he has his client's best interests in mind, not his pocket. I really respect the way he operates. HIGH RECOMMEND

We had a fantastic experience riding here! We went on a family MTB ride, guided by Grega on our first day to find out bearings and hired MTBs and gravel bikes on other days. The bikes were top-notch, Specialized, well maintained and perfect for the terrain. Grega was an amazing guide, very sympathetic and a great ambassador for Slovenia! He also helped us mapping the rides we did on our own. Highly recommended!

Grega, Tomaz, and Maja showed us around the Julian Alps in a 3-day tour. Starting in Bled we climbed Vrsic pass and went on to Bovec, Tolmin, and finally Bohinj on either personal or rental bikes in a group of almost 20 people. Rental bikes were top-notch and well-serviced. We had a good mix of tarmac and gravel, took plenty of breaks so that everybody could keep up, snacks, drinks and even luggage were provided via a support van along the way for anyone that needed it. Weather conditions forced us to improvise on some parts of the route, but to us tour attendants this was completely frictionless with fallbacks for everything. I've not met many people as friendly as Grega in my life, the entire trio was amazing to have around. Kudos to them for impeccable organization. It's obvious that everybody involved loves what they're doing and brings a wealth of experience to the table.

We had a fabulous afternoon MTB touring around some of the most beautiful areas of Bohinj. Grega was great company, he tailored the ride for us very well, he is very supportive with what terrain to expect, the bikes were superb and very well serviced. His wealth of knowledge set us up for the rest of the week for other amazing rides and hikes. As well as gaining an appreciation for this beautiful country. Thank you! Highly recommend.

Grega guided us through Ukanc village and along lake Bohinj and made us feel being home in „god‘s land“ He gave us lots of interesting information about the place, told us some stories legends and fairytales and was entertaining and sympathetic at the same time. The atmosphere the torches created was great. We can really recommend spending time with Grega. You will have a great time with him! Grega was a great guide and was so helpful even when we were struggling up the steepest of hills. This was the best experience we have ever had and also the most challenging. It is an amazing day out and we had the best weather to do it. We would recommend it to absolutely anyone. You will not regret your decision!!!

It was a lovely night out. Grega was very helpful when emailing with information - he even brought us walking pole to use. The walk left on time and was the highlight of our trip in Slovenia. If you ever get a chance to do a full moon walk in winter in the mountains take the opportunity. The photos are fantastic! Overall the walk was about 3km over a hilly terrain. Included a hot tea/wine with a snack before return. Grega has a lot of information that he shared with us. On the trip me and my partner were the only ones that spoke English and he was able to share this information with us also.
