About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- JR V0 contributionsWonderful time seeing the city and learning its history. This is a great way to see the city of Warsaw and the significant points of interest while also learning about its history. It’s like getting an overview; you can then go back on your own time and explore more specific area(s) in more detail if you like. Our guide Konrad was great! His knowledge of history is extensive and equally important, his personality and hospitality are second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend this. Kudos Konrad, my family and I had a wonderful time. Thank you!Written October 8, 2024
- E3843SUamyk0 contributionsCity Tour in Soviet era car!!!Super tour of Warsaw. Karol speaks terrific English and really is an expert. Passionate about history, curious about the world, he makes bumping along in that Soviet era Fiat more than just a nostalgia ride.Written October 8, 2024
- mfb1730 contributionsYou won’t find a better guideMartin is as good a tour guide as you can get. Honestly, if I was going back I’d call ahead and request him. I was already in Lublin instead of Warsaw, which is the normal starting point. He had no problem meeting me in Lublin and picking me up. As far as the tour itself, there probably isn’t a question you’ll think of that he won’t be able to answer. People tell me I’m good with history, but I’m not close to Martin’s level. I also learned about the impact that WW2 and the Holocaust had (and continues to have) on the relationship between Germany and Poland. We finished with a very pleasant lunch at an excellent restaurant. Again, it’s worth calling the company and requesting Martin, even if you have to shift your plans or pay extra.Written October 8, 2024
- Susan H0 contributionsSee it all!Learned a lot of the Jewish history in Warsaw during WWII. We really enjoyed our guide and were able to see all that we wanted....plus the car was fun!Written October 7, 2024
- ac42990 contributionsGreat way to see WarsawOur guide was very knowledgeable and he took us to various areas of Warsaw that we wouldn’t have seen if not for the tour. He was attuned to the city and knew a lot about the past and present day. He was passionate about Warsaw and the country. It was a wonderful tour!Written October 6, 2024
- Dercha0 contributionsInteresting tour with great guide! The tour was guided by young PhD student of history, who was very knowledgable and gave us very deep insights into Warsaw history. We took a drive in old Polski Fiat 125 P, taking us back into communist times (and my childhood). Every recommendation should you come to Warsaw.Written October 5, 2024

- Lisellit0 contributionsAmazing Warsaw in a Retro Fiat.Konrad picked us up at our hotel and ones customizing the tour to our liking, we headed out for an eventful day. Konrad was very knowledgeable about the history of Warsaw and Poland. We very much enjoyed his sense of humor, the sweet treat and the ‘attitude adjuster’ (polish vodka), that he provided. I strongly recommend this tour and if you are as lucky as us, you will get Konrad as your guide/chauffeur.Written September 22, 2024
- Lisellit0 contributionsGreat tour to Chopins birthplace. We were picked up at our hotel by Marcin and went on the most incredible tour to Frédéric Chopin birthplace in Zelazowa-Wola. On our way he stopped at the bakery and bought us delicious polish donuts. Marcin was informative, funny and very knowledgeable about Chopin and history. At the house we were treated to a 20 minute outdoor performance by a young pianist. After viewing the house and garden, we drove to the church where Chopin was baptized. I strongly recommend this tour, it was amazing 🇵🇱👍.Written September 21, 2024

It was a nice relaxing day in the countryside walking through the open air museum seeing how a small villages starting in the 18th century lived and how they supported the aristocrats of Poland was a beautiful park And Palace of the family that was landowners of these villages. We had an amazing lunch in a beautiful setting for me was a great experiencing the smaller towns different settings than just the major cities.Written September 18, 2024

- Patti S0 contributionsIf you only do one tour while in Warsaw, make it this one.So pleased with my 4-hour private tour of Warsaw with Marcin. After taking an initial tour of the city with another company, that promised to cover the history of the Jewish ghettos and uprising, I found myself left wanting something more in-depth. I got it with this tour. This tour specifically covered Warsaw’s Jewish heritage, from pre-war times to present, with a focus on visiting sites of interest and hearing about the city’s history from WW2. Marcin was a fantastic and very personable host, and his knowledge of the history of Warsaw was incredible. This gentleman is very passionate about what he does and it shows. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour and would highly recommend it. Thanks again!Written September 17, 2024

I had used this company for previous tours in Warsaw and had been impressed by their reliability and service. I was pleased that for this visit to the Wolf's Lair I once again had Marcin as my guide.
This unique historical spot is a lengthy drive from Warsaw but the time passed quickly with Marcin as we discussed many aspects of Polish life, history and current affairs. The journey was worthwhile to see the monolithic structures of Hitler's abandoned base, as well as the site of the famous 1944 assassination attempt. This really felt like a window into history that few people get to see.
Marcin was happy to answer all questions along the way. We were also able to visit an abandoned Nazi canal lock at a different location on the way back, which further added to the experience.
Overall I was very satisfied with the trip and would not hesitate to continue to recommend this company and Marcin in particular. Thank you again!

This is an amazing experience to see the exact places where Hitler commanded his disastrous eastern front during World War II. The warlord was here for over 600 days between 1941 and 1944 so this is a very important part of World War II history. The guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. He was really enthusiastic about telling this historic story. From Warsaw it’s about 3 hours each way but completely worth the trip. A great lunch in the nearby town really helped make it seem like a short sojourn. I highly recommend the trip to anyone who is interested in World War II history or who wants to see where the assassination attempt on Hitler from the movie Valkyrie actually happened.

A very pleasant drive through the Polish countryside side in a nice minivan with plenty of stops along the way for food or restrooms. Marcin our guide was well spoken in English and very accommodating and did not rush us. He made the effort to make conversation for the entire trip. We would highly recommend this trip and Marcin. Thanks for a memorable day.

Simply put if you are in Warsaw and want to see the Wolfs Lair look no further. This tour exceeded expectations in every way. Our tour guide Martin was off the charts with his knowledge of the Wolfs Lair. I’m a history teacher so I assumed I knew it all but Martin added so much relevant and interesting information. It was obvious that he was enjoying showing us around. He even brought us to lesser known bunkers in the area. It was a long day but Martin made the time pass on the ride with his easy going conversation on a wide variety of topics. Our ride home was filled with discussing Polish translations to American movies (ie Die Hard/ Glass Trap). Worth every penny. My advice.. GET MARTIN!!!

We took the all-day Wolf’s Lair trip from Warsaw. Marcin was our guide and he was unbelievable, an excellent guide. It was great to talk about Polish culture vs the U.S. and some of the history of Poland, Marvin was very knowledgeable about the Wolf’s Lair and gave our kids time to explore some of the bunkers, where it was allowed.
After the Wolf’s Lair, we stopped for dinner in Czerniki at small local restaurant. Great food.
Highly recommend this tour. It was a great personal family tour without the big groups.
Marcin, thank you for the awesome and unforgettable time. My wife, kids, and I fully enjoyed it.

Martin was such a fanstaic tour guide, his knowledge of the area, Warsaw, the rest of Poland as well as othe historical knowledge was just outstanding! We had such a brilliant day. The drive passed quickly, it did not feel like 4 hours and the tour around Wolf's Lair was very comprehensive and interesting. We are so pleased we booked this and would recommend anyone visting the area, with the time to book this tour.

I conducted my tour from Warsaw, 4 hours away by car. Marcin H. was my guide. During our drive, Marcin educated me on the history of the Wolf's Lair and on its context within the war, as well as its context within German and Polish history. Marcin was easy to talk to and made the travel time pleasant. He also stopped for breaks as needed. The site itself was much bigger than I expected, and having a guide was of great benefit. This was definitely a worthwhile.

Marcin was an excellent tour guide! We wish we could have him as our guide for all of the tours throughout the week! Not only did he speak great English, he was very friendly, informative, and helpful. Marcin often provided helpful information without us even having to ask and he answered all of our questions without hesitation (believe me, we had a lot). Thank you so much for the tour, we learned a lot!

Everything was as per the itinerary. Our guide Marcin was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and so was very keen to tell us all about Warsaws history during the journey. On arrival at the Wolfs Lair, it was hard to believe the size of the constructions in what appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. All of our questions were answered. On the way back, Marcin took us to a traditional Polish restaurant before returning us safely to our hotel so, a good time was had by all.

We were picked up at our hotel by Marcin He was very friendly, professional, and accommodated any needs that we had during our trip with him. He also very informative on history and made our trip very enjoyable. We arrived at Wolf slayer was amazed how big and detailed this bunker was and learn history history that I was not aware of so this is a must for people that are interested in World War II history and Polish history and how Poland was affected. Went for a delicious lunch one of my favorite meals that I had so far in Poland. And our last stop was a beautiful church with the most incredible ornate organ that I have ever seen. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Marcin as your tour guide he definitely enhanced our experience.

Dear guide,
I am trying to setup a reservation for the tour on the 15th of february, since I am going alone it would cost 200 euros. However, the website changes the value of the tour to 400 euros once I go into the checkout zone.
Could you please help? If the value is indeed 200 euros, I would like to setup this appointment.
Regards,
Arthur
