Private Tour: Warsaw Ghetto with a local Historian
By Artur Warsaw Guide
About
I was born and raised in a former territory of Warsaw Jewish Ghetto. I know every single corner of that district and I feel it is my legacy to present the history in the way it was. I am full of respect to all the history facts and I am presenting them with devotion and passion. My aim is to tell you how it was.

About the operator
- 126juny00Canceled my tour two days before the holidays and no reason givenWas excited for this tour, but canceled by the operator without a reason just two days before the trip. How unpleasant and unprofessional.
- favioa99700Don't leave Warsaw without exploring it with Artur!I was very pleased to learn that Artur continues to provide tour guide services. He was the best guide that we encountered during our multiple visits to Europe. Since his grandfather had lived through some gruesome experiences during the second world war, Artur was able to provide such vivid details which one cannot find in the history books. Our trip to Warsaw was an exceptional one and we have fond memories of our conversations with Artur. To him, this is not just a job; it's a tribute to those of previous eras who have valiantly fought and sacrificed for the well-being of the current generation.
- Helena Z00Great experienceWe had a great time, which you couldn't tear off using the guides available in the bookstore, hidden places, stories and fun. Besides, Artur is an amazing and committed man, thank you for two days of discovering Warsaw.
- anne56789100Day tour of Warsaw, PolandVery good driver with comfortable car. Excellent English and great presentation on each area that we visited.
- satuhelina00Excellent tour with ArturThank you Artur, our weekend getaway in Warsaw was amazing! If you want to explore the city with a local and have fun at the same time, Artur is a perfect tour guide for you. His knowledge and expertise is very good but he's also a friendly person to spend time with. The tour was entertaining and the tips we got were real gems. I can highly recommend to take this tour!
- X4165XQritam00Warsaw and BeyondThis fall my brother, sister-in-law and I toured Poland. Artur was out guide in Warsaw, then drove us to Lublin and ultimately to Cracow. In my many years of travel I have never had a guide as well versed, flexible and entertaining as Artur. His English was fantastic and he was able to convey his great sense of humor while guiding us on our tours of the sites of Warsaw. He is well versed on the history of Poland and communicated the information easily without sounding like a guide book. Artur has an innate love of people and goes out of his way to be accommodating. While traveling to Lublin he found out that we had family in a small town that was on our way to Crakow but we had no way to communicate with them. He asked for specifics and the next day had a meeting set up using him as a very entertaining translator. At least 5 stars to this young man and his many talents.
- Ellenpags00Tour of historic WarsawArtur was an exceptional tour guide! He gave us a thorough tour of Warsaw with an emphasis on the history of Warsaw during WW II which we were very interested in. He is personable and friendly and we highly recommend him. We visited in August 2018.
- heshamelbakry00Excellent, Friendly and Pleasant time with ArturI’ll never forget the pleasant and fantastic time spent with Artur last Jan. It was my first time for me to visit Warsaw. Artur tour made me so happy to the extent of not only intending to revisit and tour with him , but also, recommend to my friends. Thanks a lot Artur for your professional and nice way when taking me in a comprehensive tour in Warsaw. I’m still keeping the memorial photos we took to see from time to time. Dr Hesham
- Anders_Finland00Amazing tour of Warsaw with ArturMy girlfriend and I revisited Warsaw for the second time, but this was the first time we booked our own tour guide and boy we are lucky that we did. Not only is Artur a brilliant and insightful guide, but he is also an extremely funny person to be around with. He could tell us about the sad history of this city but also point out the modern places to visit, with tips of local establishments you wont find in a tourist guide. 5 stars to Artur!
- LoveTravel69961300Poland Jewish rootsArtur was great, friendly, courteous And a pleasure to spend our 12 days with him. I highly recommend him
- larry67300Guide in WarsawWonderful - very helpful and did research for us before we arrived He planned our visit so that we were able to visit attractions in Warsaw while visiting family sites
- wrrconsult00First rate in every way. From the moment he picked us up in his sparkling Mercedes to the end of our tour along Warsaws Royal Route, Artur was top notch as a guide and equally as entertaining. Simply the best!
- pamelaz66300Warsaw and BeyondThis was our first trip to Poland, and we do not speak the language. Artur was not only a wealth of information, he was polite, respectful, and as a bonus, was very entertaining. His sense of humor certainly added to our excursion to my husband's father's place of birth, in Sandomierz. He went above and beyond in helping us communicate with all of the relatives, most of whom we were meeting for the first time. His translation skills are unbelievable. We would HIGHLY recommend Artur for any trip to Warsaw, as he will give you insight into the country far beyond your expectations. Thank you Artur! We hope you make it to the U.S. so we can treat you as well!
- kerrdoggy00Family trip to WarsawArtur is fabulous! Our family recently visited Warsaw and hired Artur as our guide through this amazing and resilient city, rebuilt from WWII. His enthusiasm, passion and knowledge is evident as he shares the history and heritage of Warsaw. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed,
- PaulW692700My Warsaw ExperienceI would like to point out this was the first time in Warsaw, if you want to experience history come alive this is the tour guide to do it with, it was amazing to me how knowledgeable Artur was about historical facts and his ability to brilliantly bring you to a location and make you feel like you were there when it happened, he is the tour guides, guide if you will. I will definitely book him again when I return with my family next year, this guy knows the “bricks” and who put them there. Amazing Tour what can I say you will not be disappointed.

The guide Arturo was prompt, friendly, courteous and very very knowledgeable. Arturo has lived in this area his whole life and was able to give us an additional perspective of living his early years under Soviet rule before Poland's independence. And living in a city that then had to start rebuilding itself after Soviet rule. We learned alot.

Hello Arthur,
I am interested in your Warsaw Jewish tour, and wonder whether you could tell me more about it. We are a group of three (I am traveling with my two young adult children), keen to learn more of Jewish life in Poland pre-war, as well as observe it's remnants as they now are. For context, my parents are Holocaust survivors, we are exploring their shtetls while in Poland, and have a fair grounding in Holocaust history, so looking for a tour that is not too basic. Are you available for this in next few days?
If you prefer to speak I can be reached by phone on +44 7521 373051 Thanks, Jeff
