What to expect
  • Arrive at the airy studio on Wednesday or Saturday at 10:30 AM or on Friday at 6 PM - it’s not far from Ratusz Arsenal metro station - and meet the chef who will be teaching you today. Begin with a tempting buffet of traditional Polish meats, cheeses, and breads – all of them locally made and organic – as your teacher explains the basic history of Polish cuisine. Next, settle into your work station and learn to prepare traditional Polish dishes: you'll make two different types of pierogi as well as another classic dish such as buckwheat pancakes with salmon or white sausage. After this, feast on the dishes you've cooked, washed down with complimentary soft drinks, followed by a dessert your chef has prepared in advance. Should you wish, an optional vodka tasting is available for 49 PLN. Over the course of this class, the chef will tell you the history of Polish vodka, explain how it is produced, and provide you with 7-8 shots of traditional Polish vodkas, including potato vodka, rye vodka, Zubrowka bison grass vodka, Krupnik herb vodka, and vodkas flavored with quince, cherry, hazelnut, and caramel. The course takes around 4 hours. You'll leave with a book of recipes, a certificate of participation, a small gift, and a welter of culinary facts and trivia. There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, lactose free menus available. Please make sure to inform the local service provider about them at least one week prior to the class. Be prepared that in case of allergies you might prepare a different dish than the rest of the group.

We went for a weekend getaway and I surprised my girlfriend with this cooking class. It was such a blast, bunch of people from all around having fun cooking and tasting polish infused vodkas. I recommend this for everyone.

Amazing Course, Atmosphere, and Hosts
This course was a perfect experience to have in Warsaw! The organization, welcome environment, and wonderful hosts (Camilla was the instructor, I sadly did not get the name of the other lady) made this course a necessity for anyone stopping by Warsaw!

The course was well structured and easy to follow. Camilla would walk us through the steps of each meal while her coworker cleaned up and supplied us with relevant ingredients. On top of this, we had multiple breaks to try out our creations and sample other regional foods. Make sure to come to the event on an empty stomach!

The atmosphere was friendly and laid back, so each time our group took a break everyone became much more comfortable conversing amongst each other. That being said, the liquor tasting every ~45 minutes did help everyone relax a lot as well. Nevertheless, conversing and joking around with everyone was definitely a highlight of the course.

Last but certainly not least, Camilla and her coworker were both very welcoming, sweet, and helpful! Her coworker would be able to clean up/restock the dining table and cooking stations within a few minutes. Camilla was both a great person and instructor. No matter what came up, Camilla would jump in to demonstrate, explain, and/or converse with the group to ensure we had the best possible time. These two ladies easily made this course ten times better! Dziękuję bardzo!

So amazing!!!!
Jun 2019 • Friends
Went to this class on 26-June-2019 with 4 friends - we had SO much fun!!! We love Magda!!! An incredible value. We started by making delicious apple buttermilk pancakes and eating Polish charcuterie. There were a few other Americans and some Aussies in the class and it was the perfect place to chat casually and make new friends. The day was hot but the class is on the 9th floor and there was a lovely breeze. Next we made potato-cheese, meat, and dessert (strawberry) pierogi while Magda told us about her childhood and learning to cook from her grandmother. The pierogi were delicious; I can’t wait to make more when we get home. We did the optional vodka tasting - I was a little worried it would be too much, but it was well-paced with the food and the shots were mostly flavored so not excessively strong. Make sure to give yourself about 20’ more than you think you need to get there from within Warsaw as there may be traffic.

Loved the aprons and the certificate. the appetizers with cheeses, meat and other local delicacies was great. we were there close to 4hours. for dessert, we had poppyseed cake. great learning opportunities for food plus Magda shared polish culture. Would recommend this attraction 100%.

Do not miss out on this wonderful experience!

Fantastic, fun, delicious food, and a great way to spend a day in Warsaw. Magda is a terrific guide into the world of Polish cuisine, full of humor and insight. We made pierogies and apple pancakes but that's not all....a full spread of meats, cheeses, breads, dessert, and oh yes, I lost count of the vodka shots but it was all wonderful. The studio is big and bright and perfectly equipped for learning and a great time. You'll go away stuffed and happy and full of great memories and even some souvenirs. When you're done, Old Town is an easy walk away (and you will need it!).

We did have a little trouble finding how to get in...entrance is in a lower side building off Dluga. look for the Polish Your Cooking sign near the doorway, you will wind through a building headed for the taller modern building behind it. Worth the search! do not miss this experience!

Great food, great experience
Mar 2019 • Couples
We visited Warsaw from the U.S. and this class was recommended by our hotel concierge. The class consisted of 5 people, which was very manageable and allowed the instructors to give each person/couple attention. My wife and I loved the experience, the instructor, the food and the drinks! We made apple pancakes, meat and potato pierogies and creme brulee (not Polish, but one of the assistant instructors was trying a recipe and we benefited). A spread of regional charcuterie accompanied the food that we prepared along with several tastes of Polish vodka and beer. The kitchen provides a great view of parts of the city, it receives plenty of natural light and is an extremely clean environment. I would highly recommend Polish Your Cooking to anyone who plans to visit Warsaw! Be careful, though, because after seeing our pictures from the experience, our entire family is expecting us to make pierogies for Easter!

A Must Do in Warsaw, Poland!
Nov 2018 • Family
Every year my family choosing a place to visit for Thanksgiving and this year it was Poland! I always look for the most unique things to do and I stumbled across Polish Your Cooking. It was AMAZING! 3+ hours of cooking, eating, vodka tasting, history, and so much laughter! Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of my family was something I was very thankful for! We did a private cooking class with Magda. Magda was exceptional and was part of our family by the conclusion of our class. She made this cooking class one of the best experiences! It will be difficult to top this event next Thanksgiving! Thank you Magda and everyone at Polish Your Cooking!

Polish food, history, culture, perspective in one afternoon!
Jul 2018 • Solo
I had a free morning before catching my train to Krakow. This experience fit into my schedule nicely and was SO MUCH FUN. I just enjoyed it all and I am not particularly a person who actually cooks a lot. But it was so much more than just cooking. It was a history lesson. It was an opportunity to meet others from around the world. It was a chance to eat some good food. And it was a chance to learn about Polish vodka and best of all - to drink several shots of Polish vodka!
