My Grandson married his Polish bride in a woodland resort a few miles outside Warsaw. Polish hospitality is second to none and we were made especially welcome by our new Polish relatives. I was in Warsaw for a week and was very impressed by the cleanliness and efficiency of the transport system. If you use City Mapper, getting around Warsaw is really easy, bearing in mind that I am 78 next month. Uber was OK too, although more than ten times the cost of the buses. Taxis on the other hand are to be avoided like the plague. I had a white knuckle ride with the oldest, most angry and downright dangerous driver I have ever met. On my second day, despite giving the taxi driver the address of my hotel in writing, the guy took me to the wrong hotel, same chain, but wrong hotel and tried to charge me 3 times the cost of my airport transfer for a journey ten times shorter. With the help of the hotel manager we saw him off. These were my only negative experiences, we did the usual things, Palace of Culture, OK if you like totalitarian brutalist architecture, or even if you don’t, for the view from the top. The Warsaw uprising Museum, free on a Monday, but unmissable even if you have to pay. Allow at least 3 to 4 hours to do it justice. The Old Town & the Castle, quaint, relaxing, not too crowded, definitely touristy but worth a day. Two Restaurants in particular stood out. The Officers Club next to the Opera in the Old Town, 1 star Michelin food & service for Carluccio pricing, and a vegetarian restaurant called Bibenda in the City Centre, very popular with younger people and currently the ” in place to eat in Warsaw”. If there are a few of you, I recommend ordering two dishes each and play Tapas, the food is exceptional and the pricing roughly £5 per dish. My daughter and family were staying at Powisle, next to the Vistula river, and Warsaw’s equivalent of Battersea Power station, called Electrowna, I think, has been converted into a shopping mall and food court. Once again full of young people. Nearby is the Copernicus Museum and the botanical gardens on the roof of Warsaw university. I had a great time, but younger people would really have a blast. Warsaw is on the up & the City is jumping! Pretty much perfect for a long weekend, or a week if you are at half speed like me.

I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see Warsaw in cool way!! I booked this tour for a group of 8 for our first day in Warsaw in order to discover the city through its food and I am super glad we did it! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and chatty so it felt very personal! We tasted many local food as well as drinks and we learnt a lot about Polish food and culture!

My mom, sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and vodka tour with our guide Pawal. He was very fun and knowledgeable about not only the food and vodka, but the history of Warsaw. We went on the tour only a few hours after landing at the airport, which left us with a great first impression of Poland. We had a great time and found the food and vodka unique to anything we had tried before. Highly recommended.

We had a great time for almost 3 hrs, the places you visit are not made for tourists and the locals really eat there. Our guide Paweł was extremely well prepared and talking with him was very pleasant. Content: 5 stars! Prices are a little bit steep (considering that Paweł did the tour even though we were just 2 guests it was fair, though)

We spend a wonderful evening with Pawel and discovered the delicious side of Poland. Pawel was a wonderful host- he explained all dishes to us and took us to places that we would not have discovered on our own. I especially loved that we got an email with recipes and the names of all food we tried after the tour. I can fully recommend the tour. It is delicious, fun, entertaining and gives a great insight into Polish culture! Thank you Pawel!

Our tour with Pawel was the perfect ending to a day of travel! He made it an enjoyable evening, showing us the sights and giving us an interesting history tour, accompanied with before and after pictures of the restoration of Warsaw. We were delighted to go the the little out of the way places for the native Vodka and food. He was informative and had wonderful tidbits of information. It really ended up being a highlight from our trip into Warsaw. My only wish is that I would have purchased 2 of the Vodkas that we tried. I cannot find them in Idaho!

The guide was great but didn't feel it was value for money. We had around 7-9 dishes to try but was really snack food and it wasn't that nice. Two little sandwiches, half a cup of soup, cold potatoe pancakes (no beetroot soup like the picture). The craft beer / sausage sandwich and vodka where the highlights. One of us felt really unwell after the tour and since we hadn't really ate all day can't really blame anything else. I've did the tour twice and one in Wroclaw was a lot better, better choice of food, tastier dishes, better locations.

Pawel is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour is fun and interesting as Pawel provides facts, photos, and information that give you a look at Warsaw’s past. The vodka and food bites are of course the highlight of the vodka tour. He makes sure you get the right balance of vodka and snacks to avoid intoxication. Five stars!

My team really enjoyed the Vodka Tour guided by Pawel, he knows so much about the country's history and the Vodka, and he has the great ability to carry you through all the stories with his enthusiasm.

First of all our guide, Paweł was excellent and well organized. He told us interesting stories and showed us interesting corners of Warsaw. Food was delicious and very well served. Went with mom as a birthday present for myself had a wonderful time. Pawel, our tour guide, was kind enough to sing “Happy Birthday” to me in Polish. Made my day. Tour guide was extremely knowledge about traditional Polish vodka and foods pairings giving a brief history at each and its significance to daily life and events in which they are consumed. Extremely interesting tour. I will definitely being doing this tour again at a later date. Thanks again for the wonderful time!

An excellent introduction to the world of Polish vodka. The snacks might not be too everyone’s taste but the guide was truly excellent - knowledgeable and engaging. Plus the vodkas were fantastic. Well recommended.
