        More than worth the trip
This is quite the museum. You can make it interactive, meaning that you really can see and feel what it was like. The artifacts that are present came from the attics and basements from locals who had family that lived under communism, and those items were donated. You can see how the rooms that they lived in were set up, how each and every detail of their lives were affected by it. The major point I like about this museum is that they present facts without bias. They aren't pushing a political agenda. Instead they present first-hand accounts and allow you to come to your own conclusion regarding the regime of the time. It's about as authentic as it gets. I took a ton of photos, and especially the displays that put the entire regime in chronological order, so you can see what happened and when. If you're interested in the history of Poland, and not just another WWII museum, then this is the one place you really want to check out. It really is worth the trip.

A small but interesting museum. Had issues with audio guide app. Staff friendly and informative. Very worthwhile visit.

Artur was a grea guide for Best of Warsaw Tour
My two sisters and I took the "Best of Warsaw" tour on July 9th. Our guide Artur was great. He was so knowledgeable very proud of his city. The Communist Era van was very cool, though not air conditioned so not for everyone. But we loved it. We feel we had a good overview of the city on our first full day in Warsaw.

If you do nothing else, you MUST do this tour.
We learnt so much more about Warsaws history, it really was a fascinating way to see the city. Our vehicle was so quirky but an absolutely perfect way to get around. Our guide was so interesting and knowledgeable.

Excellent Warsaw tour in the atmosphere of PRL
Excellent tour with Ms. Eliza. I can highly recommend Adventure Warsaw. They organised a private Warsaw sightseeing following the history of PRL for our company. Although all the participants know the city very well, we all got to know a bunch of very interesting new facts about it. Also Ms. Eliza also showed us around the Museum of Life Under Communism and told us about the details we never knew, or just simply forgotten about. Ms. Eliza has an impressive knowledge about Warsaw city architecture, history and tradition. She also has a great sense of humor. It was a very interesting tour and a nice experience. Looking forward to next trips with Adventure Warsaw :-)

This private tour was a great value, a highlight of our visit to Warsaw
We were visiting family over the Christmas holiday and trying to see a few sights whilst avoiding crowds during Covid so we opted for this private tour tailored to our requirements. Our guide, Rafael, was wonderful, he was kind, polite, extremely knowledgeable and very flexible. When we return in the summer we will do this again and view the museum!

        A unique experience
The driver was quite friendly and knowledgeable. The bus itself, cute and perhaps a bit uncomfortable for some (we were fine) but do realize, it isn't a comfort sedan! That is part of the experience. We live in Warsaw but had a friend visit and it was just right for both parties. There were spots they took us to and explained that we did not know about. The museum was interesting and our guide did a good job explaining.

Hidden places in Warsaw you won't see on other tours!
I was a solo traveller so they will wait till they have enough people to run a tour, contact them in advance and give them your preferred dates. I shared a bus with people from America and Germany. It was a wonderful experience, one i would recommend to anyone new to Warsaw. Our guide Michail / Michael spoke excellent English, he was one of the first people in this Nysa van tour company (Adventure Warsaw is the original and best nysa van tour!). We went round to the historical hidden parts of the city (you can see prayers written on the walls of the ruins) , a local garden where they grew vegetables, delicious lunch in a milk bar, and Michail told us stories about his grandmother who hid some Jewish people in her basement during the war. And of course riding in the nysa van was a unique experience in itself! I would recommend this to anyone who is new to Warsaw, or even has visited Warsaw before but not experienced this tour, you might be surprised! (i wish i had remembered to ask for the group photo Michail took!)

The rainy day didn’t stop us having a great tour !
Sadly it was a super rainy cold day during or tour but that’s life ! The pink Nysa pick us up on time outside the Hard Rock Cafe. It was so cool to travel round in this old van even if it was pink! The stops we made where interesting and our tour guide was very knowledgeable really enjoyed the life under communism museum! My only regret is not getting a photo with the van but the weather didn’t help this factor and my own fault for forgetting! Very enjoyable tour would recommend

        In depth
Thanks to the flexibility of Warsaw Adventure, I was able of taking part to this interesting trip through Warsaw at the last minute. If you want to grasp a little of the raw history of the city, then this tour is to be recommended. You get to see a few spots that each have a different look, feel and background. A nice mix of driving around in a charming van, hopping out to make small explorations on foot and ending in a milk bar eating traditional food, each time with explanations of a knowledgeable guide. It's a good start to dig into the city even more...

A Tour to the Beat of Different Drums
Warsaw is one of my wife's and my favourite cities to visit. It is a complex city, made up of multiple layers with an awe-inspiring history. It was therefore a lovely experience to meet Michal, our Adventure Warsaw guide for the day. Michal took us through the layers of the city, the whole time colouring each fragment of the story with vibrancy, detail and context. If you are interested enough to get a real glimpse of the heart of this wonderful city, this is a tour that is not be missed. Thank you for the great experience. Best regards Andries

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we saw many sights that were unexpected as well as a great overview of the history of Warsaw, the main sights and Jewish history especially during WWII. Lunch in the milk bar was a great experience and really tasty thanks to the choices Wojtek made. The Museum of Life under Communism was very interesting and Wojtek added to that experience with his commentary and personal insights. The van was fun, amazing that he could drive and park so well. He kindly went well over time to show us so much and return us to our accommodation.

Me and my team of colleagues visited Warsaw for a team building event. Adventure Warsaw prepared a bespoke, 2-day programme for us including a City Game, visit in a museum and a trip in a vintage van. The whole experience was just amazing and made us a better team while competing, learning and enjoying ourselves in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. The guide spoke perfect English, so the activities are great for people from all around the world.

This was such a cool tour and so different than all the rest. Just riding around in an old, communist-era van was awesome. You get a lot of looks as you drive through town. But the places which our guide, Artur, took us to were so interesting. Definitely places which you won’t see on a regular tour that just takes you to the highlights of Warsaw. Artur is from the area and very knowledgeable. I plan to do the tour again when I return and hoping to see more off-the-beaten path sites. Our favorite was probably the little village of wooden cabins and gardens hidden in the middle of the city. We never would have seen it otherwise, and meet a local family living there.

Our guide Mariusz spoke perfect english, was very knowledgeable and was a lot of fun. The van was cool a little bumpy which added to the charm. We really enjoyed the tour, saw some cool stuff that we would normally miss and gained a lot of knowledge. If your in warsaw this is a great half day tour.

If you are in Warsaw for a quick weekend, there is no better way to learn about the city's history and immerse yourself in the Polish culture than to take the "Off the Beaten Path" tour. You can easily see the tourist sites by foot on your own, but this tour helps you to truly understand the significance of what you are seeing. I especially appreciated going away from the tourist attractions to privately visit hidden gems (areas that are popular with the locals) to enjoy traditional Polish food. Arthur was an engaging and passionate host. I'd recommend this 4-hour tour to anyone!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour - just what I was looking for, to see parts of Warsaw that weren't going to necessarily be in the tourist guides. Artur was energetic, knowledgeable, interesting, and interested in the people on the tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see warsaw just a bit differently than a run of the mill tour

Firstly a huge thanks to Adam.
Our trip was on the anniversary of WW2 with roads blocked & he could have easily cancelled. He gave me instructions of the new meeting point and was there to meet us.
The little Nysa of his, she did some work and needs some mechanical gearbox love..lol.
Adam was flexible on the tour and very informative, passionate and friendly about Warsaw History.
The lunch was very traditional and overall this tour is well worth it.

I highly recommend this tour! We live in Warsaw and had some friends visiting, so wanted to show them a unique tourist experience, and I'm really glad we picked this. It gives a great overview of Warsaw's history with some particularly interesting insights into the Communist era, a lot of things I didn't know even after living here for over a year. We loved travelling around in the Nysa van, it makes the experience more authentic. Our guide, Lukasz, was highly entertaining and extremely knowledgeable, he really made the tour a lot of fun! PS Make sure you ask Lukasz about football, he LOVES it ;)

Booked the Off the Beaten Track tour in the Nysa Van. Communication with the company was great, instructions very clear of where we would be picked up. Was funny to get in the bus to find 4 ladies on there from our home town! Artour was our very friendly guide, gave us good information and readily answered any questions we had. Interesting locations, definitely saw parts of the town we wouldn't have managed to see on our own. Had to give the bus a little push due to a flat battery but that all added to the fun! Had lunch in a milk bar which was really interesting. Thoroughly recommend this tour and great value too!

We had a long weekend in Warsaw and decided to try the “off the beaten year path” tour. Lukas was our guide and was prompt for our pick up. The trip was incredibly informative, fun and so interesting. Lukas showed us parts of Warsaw that no guide book mentions and it was the highlight of a great weekend. We heard all about Warsaw through the years, Warsaw greats and learned and laughed through the tour. Lunch at the milk bar was a great experience and we would HIGHLY recommend this trip for travellers who want to learn about the city. If you are REALLY lucky you too may have the pleasure of an afternoon with Lukas. Professional, informative, fun and enlightening.
