- T3054AFjordans00More than worth the tripThis is quite the museum. You can make it interactive, meaning that you really can see and feel what it was like. The artifacts that are present came from the attics and basements from locals who had family that lived under communism, and those items were donated. You can see how the rooms that they lived in were set up, how each and every detail of their lives were affected by it. The major point I like about this museum is that they present facts without bias. They aren't pushing a political agenda. Instead they present first-hand accounts and allow you to come to your own conclusion regarding the regime of the time. It's about as authentic as it gets. I took a ton of photos, and especially the displays that put the entire regime in chronological order, so you can see what happened and when. If you're interested in the history of Poland, and not just another WWII museum, then this is the one place you really want to check out. It really is worth the trip.
- robinbK9099RC00Worth A VisitA small but interesting museum. Had issues with audio guide app. Staff friendly and informative. Very worthwhile visit.
- Jet2018630709100Artur was a grea guide for Best of Warsaw TourMy two sisters and I took the "Best of Warsaw" tour on July 9th. Our guide Artur was great. He was so knowledgeable very proud of his city. The Communist Era van was very cool, though not air conditioned so not for everyone. But we loved it. We feel we had a good overview of the city on our first full day in Warsaw.
- W7673TWewak00Excellent Warsaw tour in the atmosphere of PRLExcellent tour with Ms. Eliza. I can highly recommend Adventure Warsaw. They organised a private Warsaw sightseeing following the history of PRL for our company. Although all the participants know the city very well, we all got to know a bunch of very interesting new facts about it. Also Ms. Eliza also showed us around the Museum of Life Under Communism and told us about the details we never knew, or just simply forgotten about. Ms. Eliza has an impressive knowledge about Warsaw city architecture, history and tradition. She also has a great sense of humor. It was a very interesting tour and a nice experience. Looking forward to next trips with Adventure Warsaw :-)
- Angelamessino00This private tour was a great value, a highlight of our visit to WarsawWe were visiting family over the Christmas holiday and trying to see a few sights whilst avoiding crowds during Covid so we opted for this private tour tailored to our requirements. Our guide, Rafael, was wonderful, he was kind, polite, extremely knowledgeable and very flexible. When we return in the summer we will do this again and view the museum!
- 281martao00Splendid team-building event in WarsawMe and my team of colleagues visited Warsaw for a team building event. Adventure Warsaw prepared a bespoke, 2-day programme for us including a City Game, visit in a museum and a trip in a vintage van. The whole experience was just amazing and made us a better team while competing, learning and enjoying ourselves in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. The guide spoke perfect English, so the activities are great for people from all around the world.
- clairesS6576LC00Hidden places in Warsaw you won't see on other tours!I was a solo traveller so they will wait till they have enough people to run a tour, contact them in advance and give them your preferred dates. I shared a bus with people from America and Germany. It was a wonderful experience, one i would recommend to anyone new to Warsaw. Our guide Michail / Michael spoke excellent English, he was one of the first people in this Nysa van tour company (Adventure Warsaw is the original and best nysa van tour!). We went round to the historical hidden parts of the city (you can see prayers written on the walls of the ruins) , a local garden where they grew vegetables, delicious lunch in a milk bar, and Michail told us stories about his grandmother who hid some Jewish people in her basement during the war. And of course riding in the nysa van was a unique experience in itself! I would recommend this to anyone who is new to Warsaw, or even has visited Warsaw before but not experienced this tour, you might be surprised! (i wish i had remembered to ask for the group photo Michail took!)
- MargD00Fun way to cover the sights and history of WarsawOur guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we saw many sights that were unexpected as well as a great overview of the history of Warsaw, the main sights and Jewish history especially during WWII. Lunch in the milk bar was a great experience and really tasty thanks to the choices Wojtek made. The Museum of Life under Communism was very interesting and Wojtek added to that experience with his commentary and personal insights. The van was fun, amazing that he could drive and park so well. He kindly went well over time to show us so much and return us to our accommodation.
- Anonyme201400Wonderful experiencevery nice discovery, very interesting tour, fun, intelligent, surprising ... guide (Artur) really on top
- SDAB201300In depthThanks to the flexibility of Warsaw Adventure, I was able of taking part to this interesting trip through Warsaw at the last minute. If you want to grasp a little of the raw history of the city, then this tour is to be recommended. You get to see a few spots that each have a different look, feel and background. A nice mix of driving around in a charming van, hopping out to make small explorations on foot and ending in a milk bar eating traditional food, each time with explanations of a knowledgeable guide. It's a good start to dig into the city even more...
- Kebabstar2700Excellent DayGreat day out, Arthur was very informative. Lots of history, about the buildings what they meant to Warsaw. We also had a great lunch in a milk bar.
- andriesvol00A Tour to the Beat of Different DrumsWarsaw is one of my wife's and my favourite cities to visit. It is a complex city, made up of multiple layers with an awe-inspiring history. It was therefore a lovely experience to meet Michal, our Adventure Warsaw guide for the day. Michal took us through the layers of the city, the whole time colouring each fragment of the story with vibrancy, detail and context. If you are interested enough to get a real glimpse of the heart of this wonderful city, this is a tour that is not be missed. Thank you for the great experience. Best regards Andries
- Pascal G00Great way to discover Warsaw’s historyOur guide was fantastic. Funny, interesting and knowledgeable. Would just suggest a bar stop in the middle :)
- Adventure43744200Highly recommendedPerfect tour if you wanna see real Warsaw - not only the tourist attractions and main sights. Artur (the guide) was very friendly, had many stories to tell and did this in a sincere manner. Visit to the Milk Bar was an experience in itself. Me and my 6 friends were very happy we had this tour!
- Ricardo_Anselmo00A tour with my TeamThe guide Artur and our driver was great, we enjoy the tour and all the history. Take with you warm clothes because warsaw is could!!!!😉 was a good day with the Team and a different way to know warsaw. The van is funny 👍

The driver was quite friendly and knowledgeable. The bus itself, cute and perhaps a bit uncomfortable for some (we were fine) but do realize, it isn't a comfort sedan! That is part of the experience.
We live in Warsaw but had a friend visit and it was just right for both parties. There were spots they took us to and explained that we did not know about.
The museum was interesting and our guide did a good job explaining.

Great tour of Communist-era Warsaw in a Nysa van. My wife an I ended up with a private tour with our very personable and knowledgable guide, Artur, who spoke very good English and was happy to answer questions on any and all topics. Really gave us a sense of life at that time in this now very, modern city. Highly recommended!

We were group of 2 families including 3 teenagers. Our guide was Remek and he did his job great and with passion. Part of tour in Praga was the most amazing and surprising. Moving around in old Nysa car was also fantastics experience. I reccommend that for all kind of tourists !

A very novel approach to city viewing. Our guide and driver Arthur had a great approach with visitors and made me feel very welcomed in Warsaw. His knowledge of the city and people and that of Praga was educational. He related modern day Warsaw to war struck Warsaw with ease, humor and respect . We visited many off the beaten track landmarks uncovering a few nice surprises along the way. Finished the tour by sharing a delicious traditional polish lunch. If touring during Summer months wear cool clothes and bring water although some water was provided.

We took the Heritage Communism Tour in Warsaw and had a great time.
Mr. Mariusz was our tour guide, and he was VERY knowledgeable of Warsaw and the communism times. Unfortunately, we picked a very cold day to do this, but Mr. Mariusz was in great spirit and held our interest with his stories of the early years and WW2 in Warsaw.
This is coming from two people in their 70s, and one 36-year-old, all of whom knew a little about the history, but learned a lot from Mr. Mariusz. We definitely recommend this tour.

We are both over 60, so have clear memories of seeing the news about the Cold War and life under Communism as depicted in in the West from the 1960s on. Our guide, Artur, picked us up as advertised in the old Nissa van of that era. My sister lived in Europe for 20 years, and listening to her and Artur talk about events they lived through was fascinating, His first hand reminisces of life under Communism and the events that unfolded with Solidarity made this tour come to life. And the Museum of Daily Living under Communism put together by this Company deserves more municipal support as it was a dynamic visual of this era. That, along with the other stops to see Communist sights and how the art and architecture proclaimed the superiority of Communism make this tour worth the money

This trip was absolutely perfect - everything we hoped for. Our host Artur was charismatic, friendly and extremely well informed. He was passionate about the city and it's history and went above and beyond to ensure the trip was the best it possibly could be. Would recommend this trip and this company to anyone looking to get a better understanding of the city of Warsaw. The vans are amazing. If you can, request Artur to be your guide!

Warsaw may not be the most beautiful city in Europe, but it has a rich history particularly at the time of WWII and communism era.
Honestly the schedule of this tour was not particularly packed, but the guide made the best effort to show me the nice facade of the city, including the Constitution Square and Palace of Culture and Science. I managed to have a glimpse of the life under the communist time in a small museum supposedly owned by Adventure Warsaw. Rich info can be seen.
The socialist van, though old, was safe and steady.

Sadly it was a super rainy cold day during or tour but that’s life ! The pink Nysa pick us up on time outside the Hard Rock Cafe. It was so cool to travel round in this old van even if it was pink! The stops we made where interesting and our tour guide was very knowledgeable really enjoyed the life under communism museum! My only regret is not getting a photo with the van but the weather didn’t help this factor and my own fault for forgetting! Very enjoyable tour would recommend
