We traveled to Poznan as my husband's grandmother was born there. Knowing very little of Polish history and Poznan we knew a guide was necessary in order to maximize our stay in Poznan. Wiktor was the perfect guide! Before we even booked he was very quick to communicate via email and we were able to book a tour outside his normal schedule. Even before we met he sent a long list of restaurants in the area to try. The meal we had at Wiejskie Jadło was the BEST Polish meal we have ever had.
Wiktor was very friendly and funny as a tour guide. The most important part is that he knows the history of all the buildings in the area as well as Greater Poland. He answered our numerous questions and had fun little quizzes along the way. An important factor in a tour guide is that they are able to communicate outside their scripted facts easily. Wiktor was very easy to talk to and we all felt comfortable conversing about Polish life and all that comes with that.
Our family walked away knowing SO much about Polish history that we didn't know before. Although there are no longer Polish roots that we know of there we did feel like we learned a lot of husband's grandmother's life there and why she was sent to the USA. I would highly recommend Wiktor as a tour guide. Professional. Great communication. Very outgoing and friendly. And most important knowledgable on all things historical.
We brought him a trendy Trader Joe's bag as a gift and was greatly surprised to receive some Polish candies from him as a gift. Little touches like that really make a difference.
Thanks Wiktor and we will take you out when you make it to Chicago!

We cannot fault anything about our tour guide Viktor or the tour. He was super informative about the city and also gave us interesting or funny facts/ stories that we would never have known unless we had been on the tour. It really helped us to orientate ourselves with the city and afterwards we visited a couple of the museums that we had passed on our tour. Definitely a good idea to do the tour at the start of our weekend. We would be sure to recommend this tour to other visitors. Victor was the perfect guide. He even asked us whether we would like to finish the tour around midday so we got to see the goats in the main square come out of the clock. Then we walked for a little more afterwards so that the tour did not finish then. At the end Viktor gave us some ideas of places to eat which was helpful as there is so much to choose from. He was also happy to answer lots of questions as we walked. Thank you Viktor.

Wiktor was a very nice tour guide, very knowledgeable about this very charming town of Poznan. We were lucky to have had a private tour as we went off tourist season and he showed us the beautiful architecture with detailed historic descriptions. If you want to know more about historic Poznan, we would recommend this tour with Wiktor as the entertaining tour guide.

This was a brilliant tour! Despite the fact that it was raining, Wiktor - our tour guide - did not cancel but showed up at the appointed place and time. Even though the weather could have been better, Wiktor was so interesting and knowledgeable that we completely forgot about the less than perfect meterological conditions! The pace of the tour was perfect as it involved a lot of walking as we criss crossed the city. Wiktor's knowledge of history and his talent for storytelling are impressive. At the end he even extended the tour a bit, and then gave us delicious sweet treats! A big thumbs up for Wiktor of Raccoon Tours!

I had the privilege of a 1 to 1 tour with Wiktor, as it was a very quiet time of year in the city. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide of the area showing a good mixture of the areas with rich history in the city. At the end of the tour he gave me a list of recommendations of where to eat and drink and general activities in the town, making it easy to plan the rest of my stay. For the detail of knowledge and time Wiktor spent with me he is very reasonably priced also.

Victor was an amazing tour guide. It was just us and we went for 2 and a half hours and he showed us so much of Poznan. He was really insightful and was happy to answer all the questions we had about the city. He also provided us with a really good guide to restaurants and tourist sites that was very helpful. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Poznan.

Absolutely loved the walking tour in Poznań! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, bringing the city's rich history to life with fascinating anecdotes and hidden gems. Very much enjoyed the tour with Wiktor, which I booked before I arrived in Poznan with the little amount of time I was here before moving onto another city few hours away, very glad I did as Wiktor is very knowledgeable and very informative and knows his stuff ! Very friendly and apporachable person if you have any questions not just about Poznan but about anything Polish, I'd definitely see what other tours he offers when I visit Poznan again ! Recommended for sure

Wiktor was an excellent guide, and my wife and I had the good fortune to have been the only people to book a tour that particular day, meaning we got a de facto private experience. My wife is also Polish though not from Poznan, and I have been travelling to the country for years and am familiar with the culture and history in broad terms already, so we had a lovely casual walk interspersed with Wiktor's very deep and fascinating knowledge of the geography and history of Poznan and the many layers of the city's past, and a few of its contemporary issues. From stories of the city's Prussian and Nazi occupations through to recent anecdotes like the theft of a Manet painting from the city's gallery in the early 21st Century there's really something on every street and in every square that's worth knowing about, and Wiktor covered all of it with well-told anecdotes (and in excellent English) and some useful visual aids such as historical photographs. A highly recommended tour for any visitors to Poznan - even if you're Polish yourself I bet you'll learn something you didn't know!
