Pay the visit to the marvelous Church of Peace, the largest wooden church in Europe. Built in the XVII century is an impressive and remarkable example of religious conflict dividing Europe centuries ago. Erected under very strict conditions represent a immense historic and artistic value, rightly earning its place on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Wonderful Experience on a Sobering Day
I highly recommend booking the Auschwitz-Birkenau Day Tour through Viadrina. Our guide, Mathias, picked us up promptly from our hotel and coordinated getting the English guided tour tickets through the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum so that all we had to do was show up. He was a great driver in the rainy weather and we appreciated the history of Wroclaw, Lower Silesia, and Lesser Poland he provided along our drive. Note that there were only two of us plus Mathias for our drive and we were picked up in a small car. I'm not sure if Viadrina ever does bus tours. As we neared Auschwitz, Mathias offered to stop for a quick breakfast before starting our 8am tour which was also appreciated. Last comment I'll make - we called Viadrina to book our tickets last minute due to a scheduling error and Viadrina/Mathias were incredibly helpful in organizing a last minute day tour for us! While I don't recommend booking last minute, it shows that Viadrina will go above and beyond for their customers.

Amazing experience and truly eye opening - highly recommend!!!
One of the most amazing experiences in my life, our tour guide Mathias was brilliant and made us feel comfortable. He told us about different places along the journey. I would highly recommend booking this experience if you’re visiting Poland.

What an amazing but moving experience!!!
It was an amazing but moving experience at Auschwitz and Birkenau day trip. Adam, the driver who picked us up from the apartment in Wroclaw was so friendly and full of information to share with us along the way up to Auschwitz. He is well informed and knows well the history of the place. During our 3hr drive to and from Auschwitz he stopped us twice each way for a toilet and coffee break. The guide lady (sorry I forgot her name) was very well informed too and shared her knowledge of the place outstandingly. Well done to everyone and thank you for this once in a lifetime experience 🙏

      Great guides, busy tour
Maciej was a great guide. I was alone, but he made it very comfortable and was able to get me to the site to make the first tour. The tour itself is extremely busy, so a bit hard to fully take in the reality of the site. But the educator on the tour was also great. It is definitely a tour worth doing.

      Immersive Historical Journey
I had a wonderful time visiting the Church of Peace with Adam as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the history, politics and culture of the region. The church itself is a masterpiece of architecture and craftsmanship. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who appreciates beauty and heritage.

Well worth of taking tour in Wroclaw
An informative and interesting historical tour of Old Town Wroclaw, well worth taking. A clear historical itinerary that gave us more insight into the local architecture and culture. Unfortunately we didn't have time for the afternoon University tour, so we'll leave that for another time.

      Worth every minute
The Auschwitz tour is a must see simply because of the history of it. I am glad we went on this tour. It was very informative and included lots of information I did not know about. While the topic itself is very heavy, it was worth going to see it. On a different note we were picked up in a tiny car that could probably only seat 4 people. It was just my husband and I. The driver and my hubby were both pretty tall so with their seats pushed all the way back it was very uncomfortable for the six hour round trip. It would have been nice to know that the travel accomodations were so small. I think we were expecting to be on a bus or at least a van. Overall the tour was great but the travel accomodations not so much.

What a lovely day this was. Adam, our driver, had a unique perspective having been born in the US, but living in Poland since he was 12. The greenhouse was a green retreat of tropical plants. The underground tunnels more interesting than I expected, but the highlights were the castle and the Peace Church. Be prepared to walk over 100 steps down to and up from the tunnels, plus up and down three flights of stairs in the castle. The audio tour was informative. Emphasizing the last family to own and live in it added another dimension to the many other World War l and ll museums we have been to on this trip.

We used Viadrina tours for two consecutive day trips during our time in Wroclaw. I contacted them initially through Facebook messenger to check that excursions would be running during the last week of October and they were very helpful. The website is very comprehensive too with lots of information about what to expect. Our bookings were made through Facebook messenger also.
Our guide, Adam, picked us up from outside our apartment and was there promptly each day. The car was comfortable and we were lucky to have private tours on both days. Adam was very knowledgable and took time to answer questions. He didn’t rush us at any point. On our first day we visited Ksiaz Castle and the Swidnica Peace Church. On our second day we went to Gross Rosen Camp and Project Riese. Each day was approximately 9-5 with quite a bit of driving involved but plenty of time at each attraction. Payment was at the end of the day in euros or zloty. Would highly recommend both tours and would definitely use this company again.
