About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- fieldsaflame0 contributionsThis place rocks! We booked this as a last minute excursion from Wrocław and I’m so glad we did! By far one of my favourite things done during my trip to Poland (even though it’s in the Czech Republic.) We followed the green trail around the park, taking roughly 2 hours to complete- it took a bit longer as we took some detours + snow. The walk itself was very easy to do, I imagine it would be easier in warmer weather but in conditions we did it in I would still recommend to people with minimal hiking experience. The only thing I would say, if you’re heading out when it’s cold, watch your step on the stairs as they’re a bit all over the place. Without snow I reckon they’d be okay though. The national park was beautiful. Not that the weather is in its control but being able to experience such place in snow was a one of a kind experience and a first for me so I was well and truly blown away by it all! I love a rock as much as the next person but these ones were something else. The peace you feel whilst walking around a place like this is hard to describe, the silence of your surroundings really allows you to take it all in. Although it might seem a bit daunting going to a place like this out of season when it’s cold and snowy I would highly recommend doing it- just make sure you’re wearing appropriate footwear- I wore dr marten boots (silly of me i know) and I slipped a good three times 🥲 I’m off to watch Narnia now and tell everyone I’ve been there- never thought I’d be able to say that!Written January 11, 2025
- 854jumanaz0 contributionsAmazing winter landscapeThis trip is a must while in Wroclaw as a day trip. A true hidden wonder in the middle of nowhere which was honestly worth every penny. Our tour guide Mat was really kind and helpful too. My mother need a little more assistance because of the snow and slippery stairs, he helped her with the climb holding her hand and taking it easy. Thank you very much.Written January 8, 2025
- notsonewhere0 contributionsI’m glad I’ve been now, had to see it.I’ll leave you to make up your own mind after visiting this place. For me it was a very sobering experience. Excellent communication from travel company, prompt pick up, clean vehicle, clean and safe driving in difficult weather conditions, knowledgeable driver, excellent tour guide.Written October 6, 2024

- 7michelle930 contributionsAdrspach-Teplice RocksThe rock formations are stunning and it is an amazing place to visit. It was a little crowded, but not enough to spoil our visit. Our main problem was working out how to visit and so I thought that I would write this review to help others. My daughter and I are travelling around the Czech Republic, using public transport. We stayed in Trutnov for 2 nights informer to spend a day at the national park. When we got there, I checked Google Maps to find out how to get there. I had originally planned the trip nearly a way ago and completely forgotten the finer details. According to Google Maps there was no way to get there. There were no buses or trains. We went to the tourist office and was told that there was actually a train that went every 2 hours but had we booked? I had no idea that you had to book and so quickly went to the park website and the one time slot available was 5pm. The last train back was at 7.44pm and so I would have barely any time there. I asked if there was anything else I could do in the area and was told no. I was devastated because we had only come to that town to see the rocks. I spent ages online and eventually discovered that there was a very simple and better way to see them. Get off the train one stop after Adrspach at Teplice Nad Metuji Skaly. It is just another couple of minutes. Leave the station and turn left. After a couple of minutes you will arrive at an area of stalls. Use the (free) public toilet and buy a ticket for the park. There are no timed entries here. We walked all the way through to the Adsprach side. If you don't want to walk that far, the rocks on the Teplice side are just as good and there are not the crowds that there are on the Adsprach side.Written August 9, 2024

- O4383FTkimberlyw0 contributionsWonderful Experience on a Sobering DayI highly recommend booking the Auschwitz-Birkenau Day Tour through Viadrina. Our guide, Mathias, picked us up promptly from our hotel and coordinated getting the English guided tour tickets through the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum so that all we had to do was show up. He was a great driver in the rainy weather and we appreciated the history of Wroclaw, Lower Silesia, and Lesser Poland he provided along our drive. Note that there were only two of us plus Mathias for our drive and we were picked up in a small car. I'm not sure if Viadrina ever does bus tours. As we neared Auschwitz, Mathias offered to stop for a quick breakfast before starting our 8am tour which was also appreciated. Last comment I'll make - we called Viadrina to book our tickets last minute due to a scheduling error and Viadrina/Mathias were incredibly helpful in organizing a last minute day tour for us! While I don't recommend booking last minute, it shows that Viadrina will go above and beyond for their customers.Written April 7, 2024
- Kim T0 contributionsAmazing experience and truly eye opening - highly recommend!!!One of the most amazing experiences in my life, our tour guide Mathias was brilliant and made us feel comfortable. - zamrom0 contributionsWhat an amazing but moving experience!!!It was an amazing but moving experience at Auschwitz and Birkenau day trip. Adam, the driver who picked us up from the apartment in Wroclaw was so friendly and full of information to share with us along the way up to Auschwitz. He is well informed and knows well the history of the place. During our 3hr drive to and from Auschwitz he stopped us twice each way for a toilet and coffee break. The guide lady (sorry I forgot her name) was very well informed too and shared her knowledge of the place outstandingly. Well done to everyone and thank you for this once in a lifetime experience 🙏Written December 17, 2023

- J M0 contributionsGreat guides, busy tourMaciej was a great guide. I was alone, but he made it very comfortable and was able to get me to the site to make the first tour. The tour itself is extremely busy, so a bit hard to fully take in the reality of the site. But the educator on the tour was also great. It is definitely a tour worth doing.Written October 22, 2023

It was a cold but dry November day, and my wife & i were Matius's only customers. He was great at showing us around the beautiful city of Wroclaw, as well as giving us recommendations on where to eat and drink and answering all our questions. Loved his style and energy. We learned somuch and really really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommned!

I had a fantastic walking tour recently with Shaun who managed to take us on a very interesting walk through time with his tour of Wroclaw. He is very knowledgeable around the local history and great for recommendations of restaurants etc. Well worth doing if you are in the city for a few days, it takes you to all the historic spots and as it’s a morning tour, your free by lunchtime, wear comfy shoes and enjoy.

An informative and interesting historical tour of Old Town Wroclaw, well worth taking. A clear historical itinerary that gave us more insight into the local architecture and culture. Unfortunately we didn't have time for the afternoon University tour, so we'll leave that for another time.

Stayed in wroclaw for a long weekend. But 2 days is plenty to explore the city mostly it was a very nice experience and would return again now I have more knowledge of the place..but it is not very tourist information helpful. Not a sign in English to be found .the people do try to help .but even trying to get a tram ticket is difficult. As you would not get a taxi here as every taxi driver here tried to rip us off .so if you are going to get a taxi make sure u settle a price before moving off .when we walked away from taxi drivers after we could not agree on a price they would just abuse us..so make sure you know how much your journey should be because they will try charge you a ridiculous price.other then this the city, food and drink are lovely..still will come back but without having to deal with taxi drivers

Shaun was an amazing tour guide! He was able to personalize the tour for me and made the experience more interactive. His knowledge of Wrocławe’s history is astounding for the relatively short amount of time he’s lived in Poland. I’d recommend this tour to any of my friends!

Had a great 2.5 hour tour with Sean! He is very knowledgeable about Wroclaw and we found out many things we didn’t know beforehand. This town has a very unique history we are happy we took the time to learn about. We did it first thing the day after we landed which allowed us to orient ourselves better for walking later on. Sean recommended some restaurants for us which did not disappoint. Thanks for a great morning!

Would thoroughly recommend this tour. We were the only two on the day, so it felt like a private walk. Our guide was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Wroclaw and it's history. Make a point of revisiting the University. So worth the entrance fee.

Wow talk about bang for your buck. Our tour guide Sean was an absolute delight. He was a wealth of knowledge and truly passionate about the history of this wonderful city. I was very impressed with his storytelling ability. My husband and I were both amazed how much we learned and saw in 2 1/2 hours!
