- 7michelle930 contributionsAdrspach-Teplice RocksThe rock formations are stunning and it is an amazing place to visit. It was a little crowded, but not enough to spoil our visit. Our main problem was working out how to visit and so I thought that I would write this review to help others. My daughter and I are travelling around the Czech Republic, using public transport. We stayed in Trutnov for 2 nights informer to spend a day at the national park. When we got there, I checked Google Maps to find out how to get there. I had originally planned the trip nearly a way ago and completely forgotten the finer details. According to Google Maps there was no way to get there. There were no buses or trains. We went to the tourist office and was told that there was actually a train that went every 2 hours but had we booked? I had no idea that you had to book and so quickly went to the park website and the one time slot available was 5pm. The last train back was at 7.44pm and so I would have barely any time there. I asked if there was anything else I could do in the area and was told no. I was devastated because we had only come to that town to see the rocks. I spent ages online and eventually discovered that there was a very simple and better way to see them. Get off the train one stop after Adrspach at Teplice Nad Metuji Skaly. It is just another couple of minutes. Leave the station and turn left. After a couple of minutes you will arrive at an area of stalls. Use the (free) public toilet and buy a ticket for the park. There are no timed entries here. We walked all the way through to the Adsprach side. If you don't want to walk that far, the rocks on the Teplice side are just as good and there are not the crowds that there are on the Adsprach side.Written August 9, 2024

- O4383FTkimberlyw0 contributionsWonderful Experience on a Sobering DayI highly recommend booking the Auschwitz-Birkenau Day Tour through Viadrina. Our guide, Mathias, picked us up promptly from our hotel and coordinated getting the English guided tour tickets through the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum so that all we had to do was show up. He was a great driver in the rainy weather and we appreciated the history of Wroclaw, Lower Silesia, and Lesser Poland he provided along our drive. Note that there were only two of us plus Mathias for our drive and we were picked up in a small car. I'm not sure if Viadrina ever does bus tours. As we neared Auschwitz, Mathias offered to stop for a quick breakfast before starting our 8am tour which was also appreciated. Last comment I'll make - we called Viadrina to book our tickets last minute due to a scheduling error and Viadrina/Mathias were incredibly helpful in organizing a last minute day tour for us! While I don't recommend booking last minute, it shows that Viadrina will go above and beyond for their customers.Written April 7, 2024
- Kim T0 contributionsAmazing experience and truly eye opening - highly recommend!!!One of the most amazing experiences in my life, our tour guide Mathias was brilliant and made us feel comfortable. He told us about different places along the journey. I would highly recommend booking this experience if you’re visiting Poland.Written February 5, 2024
- zamrom0 contributionsWhat an amazing but moving experience!!!It was an amazing but moving experience at Auschwitz and Birkenau day trip. Adam, the driver who picked us up from the apartment in Wroclaw was so friendly and full of information to share with us along the way up to Auschwitz. He is well informed and knows well the history of the place. During our 3hr drive to and from Auschwitz he stopped us twice each way for a toilet and coffee break. The guide lady (sorry I forgot her name) was very well informed too and shared her knowledge of the place outstandingly. Well done to everyone and thank you for this once in a lifetime experience 🙏Written December 17, 2023

- J M0 contributionsGreat guides, busy tourMaciej was a great guide. I was alone, but he made it very comfortable and was able to get me to the site to make the first tour. The tour itself is extremely busy, so a bit hard to fully take in the reality of the site. But the educator on the tour was also great. It is definitely a tour worth doing.Written October 22, 2023
- Ivon D0 contributionsGreat experience! Totally recommend! The tour was perfectly arranged. They showed us some stuff that was not included in the ticket as well. Highly recommend!Written October 2, 2023
- 979lu_sn0 contributionsRainy day in the museumBeautiful place with lots of history which was well revealed by our very nice guide! Somewhat difficult to find the real door of the entrance!Written August 13, 2023
- Ellie B0 contributionsAmazing experienceAmazing experience. Beautiful views. Would definitely recommit going to this hidden gem. The boat trip was also a good experience.Written July 25, 2023
- Maritta L0 contributionsExcellent day! What a lovely day this was. Adam, our driver, had a unique perspective having been born in the US, but living in Poland since he was 12. The greenhouse was a green retreat of tropical plants. The underground tunnels more interesting than I expected, but the highlights were the castle and the Peace Church. Be prepared to walk over 100 steps down to and up from the tunnels, plus up and down three flights of stairs in the castle. The audio tour was informative. Emphasizing the last family to own and live in it added another dimension to the many other World War l and ll museums we have been to on this trip.Written July 13, 2023

A very interesting church. We would have liked to know more about it, but the information provided (in French and German) was unfortunately very incomplete. A tape played over the loudspeaker several times, but unfortunately always only in Polish.
It would have been very desirable if the announcement had been in English. For a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that should be possible.

I had booked two tickets for a beautifully sunny Saturday day trip. Maybe fortunately, but my friend and I were the only people on the tour (in a new 6 or 7 seater minibus). Our driver and host was Matheus who provided an in-depth commentary throughout. The trip was comfortable with a stop for mid morning Coffee, then a drive through gorgeous countryside for a stop at the Krzyzowa Foundation for Murual Understanding in Europe. Back on the road towards Swidnica and after a brief walk to the central Square, our host left us for free time and lunch. Whilst we were taking lunch Matheus had gone back to collect the mini bus and drive forward to our final destination, the powerfully beautiful Church of Peace where he had arranged for an English-voiced commentary pointing out the history and the features of the church. Our host added interesting points of interest to the commentary. We were offered but declined a stop on the return trip to Wroclaw. This trip is perfectly accessible to all, frequent breaks (and many points of interest -too many to mention here - so for you to discover) and in particular the historical knowledge imparted by our host brought the whole experience to life.

A beautiful church and its surroundings with a very interesting history. Completely unique. We were staying in the village at a local hotel and were completely besotted with the whole area.
