About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Hertsbob0 contributionsExcellent day that some may find distressing. An excellent day! The guides for both the Camps and the Salt mines were professional, friendly and full of interesting information. Slight hiccup at the beginning of the day with a problem with the vehicle that meant we were late being picked up. It wasn't clear to us at the time of booking that being collected by the tour vehicle from our hotel did NOT apply if the hotel was outside their designated radius of the city centre. Communication prior to the event (via WhatsApp) was clear, and we used BOLT to reach the RVP, which did not appear to be on the main bus or tram routes. That meant we were waiting on the street for our pick up. I recommend that anyone choosing this specific tour checks that their hotel is included in the pick up. After a long tiring day, it meant we had to use BOLT again to get back. Additional costs and time we could have done without. That said, it was a good day. Our driver, Martin, was suitably apologetic for the delayed start and we visited the Salt mines first. What a wonder of engineering this site is. Our guide was charming and very personable. We moved through at a speed appropriate for all ages, and there were plenty of opportunities to wonder at and photograph the various statues and work sites that had been carved in the salt deposits. Lunch was eaten before we left for the Camps. We provided our on, but that offered by the tour company seemed reasonable. I find it difficult to find the right words to describe the afternoon visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Words like 'tour' and 'enjoyment' seem inappropriate. Having read and seen on original newsreels, so much of the horrors perpetuated against Jewish people and other specific communities, I guess it was a reaffirmation of what I already knew, but there is no doubt the exhibitions of the personal properties of the victims on display brought home the intensity of the cruelty these people endured. The guide was very knowledgable and although there were many visiting groups, he and his peers ensured that there was no adverse effect on our own experience. The afternoon was thought provoking and I'm glad we were able to pay our respects.Written March 22, 2025
- Chrisnik10 contributionsWell organised, harrowing but important part of historyExtremely well organised. Very informed guides. We did the salt mines on the same day and so it does make a long tiring day of it but we felt very looked after throughout. A harrowing part of history that is important to remember.Written March 22, 2025
- Dream365612179900 contributionsvery goodJulia was very good, would highly reccomend this tour as was very fascinating. It is a long day but you get plenty of breaks.Written March 22, 2025
- Harts_of_Hinckley0 contributionsHistory we should all learn fromIncredible insight into recent history. The salt mine was interesting with an excellent guide Bartik who brought it to life. Auschwitz was harrowing, and sadly there are signs in the world today that humans are not learning the lessons from historyWritten March 21, 2025
- Michael B0 contributionsWell worth the visit to bothThis was a very interesting and very informative , the driver Martin was very good throughout the day. There is a lot of walking on this double tour so you would need to be prepared for thisWritten March 20, 2025
- Roger W0 contributionsShort break with a must see visitWe had a guide for the tour who was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of information to the group. It is a phenomenal place with a history that is as sad as it is interesting . Despite being busy , it is easy to get about and you get a real feel for the atrocities that took place there. StunningWritten March 20, 2025
- Julie B0 contributionsKrakow!!A must visit for anyone visiting Krakow. An emotional rollercoaster on both concentration camps. A time when humanity got it very very wrong! Salt mines a creation from some very talented individuals..Written March 20, 2025
- yarynah180 contributionsBook it!Excellent tour, well worth the price. The option to buy lunch from the operator is very convenient as you don't need to worry about having enough time to buy something in the many shops at the sites, but that is an option, you might just be rushed. Plenty of bathroom breaks. Not the most accessible- prepare for a lot of walking and about 800 stairs down into the salt mine.Written March 18, 2025
- lucy n0 contributionsVery well organised tripA very well organised trip. Great communication from start to finish. Pick up point 5 mins from hotel. Our trip Coordinator was very helpful. Guides at both museums high quality. Be aware it’s a long day & lots of walking. Recommend opting for the packed lunch as there is no time to buy lunch.Written March 17, 2025
- Y157EEangelad0 contributionsWell worth it!Brilliant trip to Saltmines and Auschwitz. We were picked up just by our hotel at time provided the day before. Tour guide was very informative and advised how the day would go and what to expect. The guides at both the Saltmines and Auschwitz were very knowledgeable and their English was impeccable. I thoroughly recommend this trip. We booked the packed lunch, would recommend unless you are organised with shopping before as there is not enough time to visit cafes in between, plus it’s great value.Written March 16, 2025
- MandyMG0 contributionsA must doThe trip was a tough one but so well organised and full of information. I highly recommend anyone going to this museum. Be aware that there are many stairs involvedWritten March 16, 2025

Julia was our tour guide on the bus and she was great, informative and really well organised. We opted for the packed lunch and it was well worth it real value for money. - clivem7740 contributionsAuschwitz, Birkenau, and Salt mines.A well organised trip to both the salt mines and Auschwitz. It's a lot to get round in one day, but if you're up for it, it's well worth doing. However, it's worth considering doing them on separate days. Great guides and in-depth information in English.Written March 15, 2025
- Doreen H0 contributionsAuschwitz Burkenau and Salt Mine trips superb.10/10 A trip well worth doing, it’s a long day we did both Auchwitz and Salt mines together. However so glad we did it, you get a message day before saying where the pick up point is and at what time, they were spot on time and very helpful. The guides on the trips had fantastic knowledge and explained everything in great detail. We took our own packed lunch but they do supply one for 40 zloty each. Was raining heavy and your outside for most of the time so keep an eye on weather for clothing. Can’t rate it high enough a trip all must take to see what awful things happened to such innocent people.Written March 15, 2025
- Rachel S0 contributionsSurreal amazing historyAmazing. Its a long day but well worth doing the 2 tours together. you get breaks inbetween and can rest on the coach, we also paid for the lunch box which was very tasty. Charlie our operator was fantastic. Very well organised.Written March 15, 2025

Honestly had the best trip to Zakopane and the Thermal baths. The trip I had booked ended up being a private tour for just me & my partner and it was with Martin. I can honestly say Martin made the trip so much better. He was flexible with times meaning we absolutely got the most out of our trip and done the trip exactly how we wanted. The views at the top of Zakopane were next level, we were lucky with a very clear day. I would advise staying clear of the men holding birds as it is a scam - unfortunately we were silly enough to fall for. Most places took card so no need to stress about cash. You have time for lunch so again no need to worry about food but I would recommend bringing snacks. The thermal baths were something I’d never seen!! The map is very confusing however we still managed to find the pool area with the bar outside - I would recommend bringing a waterproof pouch for your phone if you wanted to bring it out for photos. The drink is really cheap inside - can’t comment on the food. Also bring flip flops or sliders to the pool - there’s quite a bit of walking.
Again just a massive thank you to Martin - true gentleman and if I’m back in Poland doing anymore trips I will be seeking him out to book again ☺️
