- K3158PRcatherinew00A Traditional Polish Pierogi cooking class in Kraków-a wonderful experienceThis was a very special tour and one of the highlights of my visit to Kraków. Aneta was my cooking instructor for this tour and she was excellent! First, we stopped at the market to get some traditional snacks to eat before making pierogi and it was fun to see all the produce, breads, meats and cheeses on display (there's so much) in a traditional Polish farmer's market. Then, we headed back to her flat to eat the snacks and make pierogis. Aneta is very personable, kind, and patient, and made me feel at ease about cooking pierogis. I also learned a lot about the culture of Polish food, which I very much appreciated. Learning how to cook a traditional Polish dish has deepened my understanding and appreciation of Polish cuisine and culture, and it has enriched my visit to Kraków overall. Also, to be welcomed into someone's home while traveling abroad is very special and humbling experience and very generous on the part of the guide/instructor. Thank you, Aneta, for a terrific day!
- 682joanier00Yummy Traditional and Dessert Pierogi with AnnaMy husband and I had a wonderful pierogi cooking class with Anna. We visited the marketplace first, took a tram to her home and had a fun time making, and eating, two types of pierogi. We would recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Anna!
- imogenf50200Amazing class!I would highly recommend this class. Me and my friend went and absolutely loved it. The instructor was lovely and kind. She gave us tips for our stay in krakow and awnsered all of our questions. If you like making good authentic food, then definitely try this
- 982vandah00This is not just another cooking class, this is a Krakow Urban Tours traditional Polish Pierogi cooking classThank you Aneta for taking us around the local market to buy produce and welcoming us into your home. Your warm and vibrant personality made us feel at home instantly. We really enjoyed making pierogi, sharing stories of different cultures and sitting down to eat as though we had known each other for ages. An absolute must visit for anyone who enjoys good food and good company. Thank you Aneta!
- F4411LZjackm00Pierogi Cooking ClassWe had such a great time with Aneta. The whole day was fantastic! First we had a great experience going to the market and buying the ingredients we needed for our delicious pierogis. We then headed to Aneta's lovely house where we ate some delicious Polish snacks. The cooking lesson was fantastic and we had a great time chatting to Aneta learning about Poland and Krakow from a local. Can't recommend this enough.
- Lisa F00Delightful Afternoon Making Pierogi with AnetaI had the pleasure of cooking pierogi with Aneta. She is warm, welcoming, and all of her instructions were easy to follow. My small group enjoyed a delightful afternoon with her and the pierogi were delicious!
- karol45200Good FoodThis class was amazing. The host Alicja was great. She welcomed us into her home. First we met at the assigned meeting place. Then we went to the market and bought what we needed to make perogies. Her home was a about a 15 minute cab ride away away from the centre of Krakow. This made the experience even better. We learnt about life away from the city. There were 4 in our group. Two of the people chopped onions and the other two peeled potatoes. While that was cooking we prepared the dough for the perogies. Since the dough has to rest we had appetizers which consisted of cheese smoked and not smoked and pickles. The pergoies were delicious. We had poppy seed cake for dessert. Since transportation was not included on the way back we all shared a taxi.
- Becky P00A must-do in Kraków!Aneta was so wonderful - extremely personable and friendly! She taught us a few polish words which was helpful in town. We went to the local street market, learned how to take the public transportation, and we got to see her cute apartment! We enjoyed fresh snacks and dessert from the market and made the most delicious pirogies I’ve ever tasted! My personal dream was to learn to make pirogies in Poland and this experience went beyond my expectations. HIGHLY recommend booking this while in Kraków! Im excited to return home to the United States and make authentic pirogies for my family and friends.
- 967nancyb00Loved this class!Agneta was the perfect guide for s through a charming local market for ingredients. Cooking with her was educational and insightful into everyday Polish good and traditions. We would highly recommend this experience to everyone! Thank you again Agneta!
- frsuttonski00Nowa Huta is not to be missedAs a planned Soviet community designed to showcase the best of the communist society the stories of protest and societal change that are interwoven into the history of Nowa Huta are fascinating. The strength of the Polish people to live their Catholic faith in the face of all obstacles is humbling. A tour of Nowa Huta is a fascinating exploration of the Soviet era history in Poland. The tour guide Monika was very knowledgeable and the conversation comparing our lived experiences of this time in world history was eye opening. The architecture, food, markets, and religious stories on this tour were wonderful.
- Todd C00Highly recommend! We had a wonderful time with Tomasz as our instructor. He offered us a wealth of information. A highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!
- 811sheridand00Great ExperienceOverall, the experience was pleasant and pretty straightforward. It was really nice to be able to make and eat traditional polish delicacies. Transportation was provided to the cooking class location after the market, but not for returning to the city center.
- P8954YT00Fun time, great way to spend your vacation. We had Alicja as our guide. We started with a fun shopping experience at the local market where we had some selections to make before heading off to her home. Once there she welcomed us with appetizers and led us through the entire pierogi forming and cooking process. At the end we were able to taste our pierogi and they were fantastic! I enjoyed my tour and would recommend if you want to learn from the best.
- ezzyGQ00Memorable pierogi cooking classI highly recommend this pierogi class. Izabela was incredible at teaching us how to make pierogi. We first walked through the market and bought the items we needed my group and I had a chance to practice our polish in the market. She bought pastries at the market for us to try back at her home. She shared stories with us about her own childhood and her memories of making pierogi with her mother. She shared tips passed down from her mother and that made the experience even more memorable. We got to try the pastries with coffee that she made and with our pierogis we had beer. This is a very hands on experience and it was so much fun! By the end of it all we were stuffed but it was all so delicious and worth it. Book this wonderful experience, we learned a lot and will never forget how kind Izabela was, we felt so welcomed in her home. She also provided us with wonderful information on things we can do in krakow and restaurant recommendations.
- VGKons00An experience worth havingOur group was hosted by Alicja, a sweet, energetic and funny person who is good at teaching and coordinating the class. After we gathered, we walked in the local market to buy our ingredients and then went to the Krakow outskirts to make pierogi in a very peaceful and beautiful place. Pierogi making has been made easy and fun and I’ll always remember that great memory of a great activity!

My friends and I had as a celebration idea for a bachelor party to hold a polish cooking class and we hired Tomasz to teach us how to cook pierogi and our class was so much fun. We spent hours cooking and it was so much fun that I didn't even notice the time go by. Tomasz was very attentive answering all our questions and explaining about the polish culture. As a complement to the class, he also played typical music which made the class even more interesting. I highly recommend!

I loved loved LOVED this food tour I took with Krakow Urban Tours. Tomasz, my fantastic guide and a Krakow local, walked me all around this beautiful city to restaurants, bistros & cafes that I'd never found on my own. The food was incredible - I didnt expect Polish food to be so delicious - so were the drinks and so was Tomasz - full of passion & pride for his city and country. Thanks a lot again for your hospitality. I'll be back for sure!

Absolutely superb night with Tomasz, he was very friendly and knowledge about the city, and the food and drink. Would definitely recommend. I am now planning booking an online pierogi cooking course with them too for my wife's birthday, I'm looking forward to it.

We just wrapped up a private tour with Monika. From the moment we left our hotel to the final dish (vodka and cake) this tour was hands down the best we’ve had! Monika’s local knowledge adds a unique flair to the exceptional food and culture that is Krakow! Amazing dishes included; dumplings, smoked cheeses, soups, cabbage rolls, potato pancakes, and cake! Also a few tasty local beers and bison grass vodka. In addition to the food, Monika is an encyclopedia of Polish history! The best part of the tour was visiting restaurants owned by local families we would have never found on our own! Cheers to Monika and this tour!

Our guide Dominika provided us with an unforgettable experience in Krakow. It was a private tour, and Dominika made us feel like we were friends from the beginning. She took us to 4 different places to eat, and explained the dishes in detail, which helped us understand the importance of the local dishes we tried. On our way to each restaurant, Dominika took the time to explain the area, and places that we should consider for future visits. I highly recommend this tour, you’ll leave with a full stomach and a deeper appreciation for Krakow.

We had a delightful afternoon walking the streets of old Krakow and eating our way through history. The soups and pierogi were divine. We finished with some of the finest cheesecake we have ever eaten. We would definitely recommend this tour!
