      Terrible tour operator
Amazing, humbling experience, however, the tour we came with were awful. It's was as if they'd never done it before. Lack of communication from guide, Martin. No information provided, especially after buying our tickets, then queuing, again, to get into auschwitz. We had been allowed 2 hours, and would probably have had to queue for around 30-45 minutes. Had to rush around auschwitz, not able to see everything. PAVEL TRAVEL PAWEL ROSOL organisation spoiled my experience.

      Excellent!! 5*****!
I don't have enough words to thank Adam from Pavel Travel. An absolute gentleman, who looked after my elderly mother and myself, on a very emotional pilgrimage to the Madonna of Czestochowa. A seamless trip from our hotel, where he rang to say he was outside waiting for us. We were then driven in an ultra clean vehicle, taken to the ticket office, where he arranged a wonderful guide. A truly memorable day. Thank you so much Adam! 5*****

      Lack of organization
The worst experience ever! They changed us the time from 10:00 am to 07:00 am. We said ok , no problem. We went there at 6:45 and we ended up to see the first part of the museum at 11:00 am (after 4 hours due to lack of organization). Then, we were waiting amother 1 hour to join to the 2nd part. The whole trip lasted 13 hours... nobody guided us and nobody didn't even say sorry for our inconvenience...I don't recommend this tour guide

The Black Madonna + John Paul II Family Home
My wife and I went on a trip with this office . Everything was excellent . The driver came to pick us up around 8 o'clock and by 10 o'clock we were already in Czestochowa . Some free time and we go to Wadowice . The family home of the Holy Father John Paul 2 is located there . I recommend to everyone 🙋‍♂️

Our trip to see the Black Madonna was fabulous. Robert our driver was excellent. He was very easy to speak with . A great personality and very knowledgeable. Our guide Joanna,at The Black Madonna was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. She made her presentation very personal. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

Long day out but worth it
Tour delivers you from your hotel to both locations with tickets to the John Paul home (1st stop) with audio guide and in Czestochowa we got a Sister as our English guide, who brought to life the whole experience of visiting the Black Madonna. The Black Madonna is veiled between 12pm-1330, with unveiling at 1330 with mass at that time. The total road journey was very long due to the distances and major road works at the time. You need to pack lunch, and eat in the van to maximise time at the locations and return to Krakow in reasonable time (our tour lasted 11hours). There were only two of us in a comfortable 8 seater.

      Almost perfect!
Very happy I chose this tour. The driver was excellent, and Pavel was very professional and charming. We had 2 full hours at both Auschwitz and Birkanau, which was more than expected. My only complaints/suggestions would be that the guide books should be handed out on the way to the camps so that guests have something to read during the 90min ride. I also would have liked some commentary on the way to the camps, rather than complete silence. I’m sure there were many interesting things that could have been pointed out from time to time, even though we weren’t paying for a city tour. Pavel did provide some fantastic commentary when we were leaving Auschwitz however, and that was really great! Also, DO NOT PAY to use the restrooms at Birkenau. There are free washrooms as soon as you enter the camp. Considering what atrocities took place at these sites, I think it’s shameful to be asking people to pay to relieve themselves anyways. But I definitely recommend Pavel Tours, you won’t regret it!

      The best choice!
It was an EXCELLENT service. Paul is a kind person, very professional and helpful. For a tour for these two places of faith it's quite important to go with someone with a profound faith, that knows about the places and it's history. Paul is the guy for that! If your considering these destinations, this is the best choice.

      Great
Really nice tour guide who speaks English very well. He was late because of the snow but contacted us in time and let us know when he was arriving. He gave us usefull tips about what to see in Auschwitz. He even gave us an information folder in our language. At the end of the day he even dropped us off at our hotel.

      Great tour with family
This was a wonderful tour and great Information on the site visit and plus other parts of the area. We have two small children and they enjoyed the tour also. We learned more about Poland and Kamil did a wonderful job on making sure we understand what we were seeing and doing for the day. He had a wealth of knowledge and experience. Also he was very patient and great with the kids. We were even able to attend Mass and make it to all the sites.

Very interesting experience about Catholic history
I certainly recomend the tour if you are catholic and you want yo know more about the Pope John Paul II and of course the story of the Black Madonna. It Is an importante place of pilgrimnage and faith. The tour of sister Teresita was in spanish and perfect because she is very well known by the monks so she knows the place perfectly. Pavel was our driver and tour guide for Wadowice, he was very nice, pacient and helpful. I forgot my sunglasses in the van and he returned them to my hotel the day after the tour. Very nice person. My mom was very happy with the experiences.

I booked the guided tour option, which was supposed to start at 8am. The night before, I received an email saying it would actually start at 9am instead (which wasn't a problem). The meeting point is a common meeting point for several tours, which made finding the bus difficult. Many other tour companies sent their customers a descriptor/photos of the bus, which would have been helpful here. I just had to ask each driver whether I was at the correct bus - the guide didn't yell out names or anything. Once I found the correct bus, the driver told me to come find him once we were at Auschwitz as I was the only one doing the tour. Once we got there, he went and bought me a ticket for the tour, but I then had to wait for 1hr30 min. Strange when you can buy tickets for the guided tour online (I checked), and there were earlier english tours, which I assumed were booked out by that point. The driver then told me he'd text me a time to meet at the bus, but it would likely be 4pm. At approx 2.30 he texted saying to meet at the bus at 3.30 - mind you the guided tour had only just gotten to Birkenau by that point. I then had to keep a whole bus load of people waiting so I could finish the guided tour (while the driver was texting me to hurry up). The whole drama could have been avoided if I'd been put on an earlier bus, or they'd pre-booked an earlier guided tour. That said, the tour and the site itself were fascinating and I would recommend that everyone should visit.

Everything about the tour was really good (good price and experience). You get to explore at your own pace, but the tour host gives recommendations as well. Guidebooks provided were very essential, and are available in different languages. Within 8 hours, you get 2 hours to each camp. Depending on the person, some may find it sufficient, some find it insufficient.

If you only want 1 hour and 15 minutes in Auschwitz, then this is the trip for you... if you want longer and a guide, then avoid.
Pick up on time. Bus clean. Guide on the bus basically told you little apart from times to and in places. Guide books given when you were in transit between Birkenau. If given when set of from Krakow, you would have had the chance to read it. Queues and more queues reduced the time you had to look around. Queued to get entry ticket at Auschwitz then transported to Birkenau, not really sure which bits were the must does. Supposed to have 2 hours in Auschwitz due to the size of queues only getting over an hour. Felt rushed and not able to pay proper respects to those who died.
It's not a trip for those with limited mobility.

Had a great day, the coach turned up on time at the designated departure spot and the coach was very comfortable. We opted not to do the guided tour as I did not think I would be able to keep up as I am not very good at walking, however the tour guide provided us with a comprehensive guide book and I felt that we were able to see everything that we wanted to. The tour guide was very helpful, we visited both sites and were given enough time to go round them in a timely manner. The price for the trip was very competitive and I would recommend this company if you want to see the sites at your own pace. Very sad but a must to visit.

Really disappointed with our trip to Auschwitz with this travel company. We spend 2 hours queuing for tickets to the museum at 8am to then be taken to the camp where we had to spend over 3 hours with no guide and we were given absolutely no information. We were given a guide book on the bus which we had return at the end of the day. We then were bussed back to the museum and were told we couldn’t enter until 4:15pm so we had to wait outside for another hour. We spend a lot of time hanging around, waiting and queuing throughout the day and so disappointed we didn’t realise any information about the history of Auschwitz. I wouldn’t recommend this travel company.

    Awful. Terrible experience.
We booked the activity a month in advance and they canceled the activity half an hour before.

We come to Poland just to do this activity of seeing the concentration camps and on a date with so many influxes they don't give us compensation, or ANYTHING.

We lost the activity and the trip was already ruined.

I will NEVER trust this company again.

They didn't even call us to apologize, it was booking that did it and on top of that it is clear that they didn't have the tickets purchased and would think about buying them the same day...

They only gave us a refund and no compensation, especially on the dates we were on.

We made the reservation a month in advance through Booking and when there was only half an hour left before departure, they canceled our trip to Auschwitz because they did not have the tickets available.

Very bad management, if we reserve a month in advance it seems surreal to me that half an hour before they inform us that we will not be able to carry out the activity, they should have some foresight. Of course they do not have a contact telephone number nor do they give you any solution.

Finally, we are going to leave Krakow without being able to visit Auschwitz, which was the main reason why we came from Spain.

We managed to book last minute, preferring a self-guided tour to the more organised option. Luckily we chose Pavel Travel!
Our guide, Marek, was fantastic. He shared his knowledge and looked after us (the group) so well, making sure we were on time.
He also helped several others who had missed their own tour bus. He was a brilliant shepherd!
The timing was perfect as we somehow managed to avoid any long queues.
The tour was in two sections. The first took us to Birkenau. Walking around with the guidebook (supplied to us) was an overwhelming experience. The site was quiet and most people were appropriately respectful. Eating and drinking were strictly prohibited on site but there were toilets and it was possible to buy refreshments just outside.
Auschwitz was even more overpowering with the various personal possessions of the prisoners displayed simply and effectively. A very moving experience. There were informative signs everywhere so we felt our choice of self guided tour was right. The weather was cold and drizzly which added to the ambiance. We would like to have spent longer as everything was fascinating. It is widely reported that no birds or animals are there; however we saw a huge hare near us, lots or corvids and even a small herd of deer at Birkenau.
It’s hard to find words to describe our experience but can’t recommend it highly enough.
On the return to Krakow our coach driver Pavel drove safely and managed to get us through the heavy traffic without delays. The coach was comfy and warm. The excursion was very fairly priced.
We will probably go again as there was a lot we missed or would like to see a second time but would definitely choose Pavel Travel again. They cater for many different languages.
Over all, a fantastic visit using an excellent company. Thank you particularly to Marek.

I would give 0 stars for this shambles of a company. Was in krakow for only 4 days. On our last day we were due to visit Auschwitz. We got the bus at 10.45 and the driver was very interested in the tyre pushing it and kicking it etc. the guide came along and was looking too. They still told us to board the bus. We set off only to find us being taken around local garages obviously to fix the tyre. We eventually found one where we had to get off the bus and stand for 40 minutes until it was fixed. Off we went again. We got to Auschwitz and headed to birkenau first. We got there, drove round the car park and left! The driver never spoke a word to anyone all this time even through the garage trips we weren’t kept informed. So we went to the main Auschwitz camp where our guide was. He told us to stand in the queue which we did. After around 20 minutes he then came over and said follow me and took us back to the bus! Again we get on the bus and travel back to birkenau, circle the car park and leave. The guide then turns to us and says the tickets have expired you will be going back to krakow! No sorry nothing he then left the bus and we drove off. 5 hours wasted driving around on a bus on our last day and my sons birthday for nothing. I am beyond furious at this disgrace of a company. They KNEW something was wrong with the tyre before we even left krakow and they continued to let us board and set off. The also KNEW we would not get in if we were late and let us travel there be driven round car parks and leave. People work hard to afford to go away and to be treated like this is unacceptable. 5 hours no food, water, toilet stops not even an apology for their muck up. Avoid this company like the plague and book elsewhere. It was 4pm when we arrived back in krakow so we couldn’t even go and do something else. And when you complain no one cares

The organizer asks us to be present instead of meeting at 7:45 instead of 10:50. We go there, we take the bus for 1h30 to reach Auschwitz. We get out of the coach and the “organizer” if we can call it that, leads us to the end of the line. We wait from 9:40 am until 12:40 pm in this famous line. We’re coming to the end, it’s almost our turn and there ... more tickets available at the ticket counter. In fact, when you book the activity, the organizer is supposed to exchange your “voucher” received by email or paper version, with a REAL entrance ticket, except what you received is NOT the entrance ticket! The organizer is therefore supposed to buy the tickets in advance to exchange them for you in the coach. But when this “organizer” realizes that there are no more tickets available because there is a maximum number of tickets available for sale, he will make you return to the bus telling you that you will go to Birkenau and then you will return to Auschwitz to see if it is possible to take tickets, it is a LIE! He’ll make it look like he’s going to try to find a solution but he’s going to send you on the bus to FLEE on his own! In short, this idiot wasted us time and money, because even though we were reimbursed, we took a round trip flight on purpose to visit Auschwitz. We return to our country without having been able to visit what we wanted. When you book your tickets, you must indicate a time slot you will come to! If there is not that when you book, beware! We are not the first and certainly not the last. 2 buses were involved in this situation so about 150 people.
