Three “active seniors” I guess you’d call us had a wonderful day last month on this special day trip to the famous saltmines followed by a visit to a nearby alpaca farm. Wojciech picked us up promptly at our Airbnb and drove us to the salt-mine. He pointed out two restaurants where we could eat after the tour and then escorted us up to the rather confusing lines at the entrance, made sure we were set with tickets, and arranged a time and place to meet afterward. Well, be forewarned, active or not, there are hundreds of steps to take down into the mine and then several hours of walking miles through the mines to see chapels and statues and chandeliers, all of salt. There are a few benches to rest on here and there which we took full advantage of. You’ll be thrilled as we were to learn there is a lift to the surface after your lengthy tour. The charming guide spoke fluent English and the earphones worked well. We had a hearty lunch by the car park and met Wojciech for our next stop at the alpaca farm. The countryside was lovely. We were led into a field and given feed for the adorable and friendly beasts. Then we headed to the barnyard to feed another crew, before leaving for a walk with our assigned alpacas - and one llama. It was a short walk - we were really tired after the long salt-mine tour- but we enjoyed every minute. On the way back Wojciech recommended his favorite Krakow restaurant, Morski Oko, which we were able to get reservations for several nights later- wonderful place! Highly recommend this tour for an active and interesting stress free day

I really enjoyed my tour! The salt mine was really cool to explore and the alpacas were so much fun to play with. Definitely a great way to experience Poland.

I tried to book for Tuesday 9/24.
Price listed 78 $ but when I try to reserve, it became 111$ per person.
