Visit one of the most important and most popular museums in Krakow. Schindler’s Enamel Factory, located on 4 Lipowa street, is a part of the Historical Museum of Krakow. The main exhibition title is ''Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945'.  Please, note, it is not biographical museum. The museum exposition is dedicated to occupied Krakow and reveals many aspects of the life of people under the rule of the Nazis.

      Excellent Guided Tour!
We knew some history, but had no idea the deep significance of Krakow to early Polish history. The castle and cathedral offer an excellent opportunity to experience the richness of that history. Our guide was wonderful, very personable, great with knowledge and motivation. A good workout with stairs, lots of walking, we saw a great deal in 2 hours!

A Glimpse at Life in Kraków 800 years ago.
An excellent underground museum with pathways, kerbs, roads and buildings in situ at the original 13th century ground level, now many metres below the main square and current Cloth Hall. Lots of items found during the excavation were on display. Well worth the entry fee. The only negative issue was the low level of lighting in certain areas but this may have something to do with protecting exhibits.

Learn about part of Krakow History they may be missed
Have done many walking tours in Krakow over the years, but never one like this. So informative and a part of Krakow you may miss - but it shouldn't be forgotten! Micheal was our guide and so passionate about the subject. Learned so much in the 2.5 hours we were with him. Highly recommend this tour and one you won't regret doing.

Interesting & Informative guided walk through the Jewish quarter, the ghetto and Schindler factory museum. Great guide.
Good communications about the trip beforehand with clear instructions given the day before re where to meet. We were met by Christophe our guide at the old synagogue in the Jewish quarter. He was excellent and so knowledgable. He Spoke very Good English so it easy to understand him and he took the time to answer our questions clearly. The tour was extremely informative and very interesting. We learnt so much about the history of the city, the buildings and the Jewish people living within Krakow over centuries. Walking through the ghetto Christophe shared some stories and facts about the awful events that happened there. The walking tour took about two hours and involves quite a lot of walking, sometimes in cobbles, so wear comfy shoes, but it was not at too fast a pace so was manageable. Christophe also led us as the guide at the Schindler museum. It was so interesting and so much more, and much better than we expected. So many wonderful exhibits depicting life in krakow before the war and then how life changed during and after the war. It was very moving hearing the story of the awful events that happened and then seeing Schindler’s office and other sets from the movie that made it all so real. It was quite busy so having headsets was really helpful and we could hear everything clearly. The tour took about two hours. I would like to go back and look at some more of the exhibits, photos and documents as there wasn’t enough time to stop and look at everything during the tour. Nice coffee shop there and lockers to leave coats and bags securely, as it was quite warm in the museum. Well worth doing the tour. Highly recommend it. 10/10 overall and thank you to our guide for making it such a worthwhile trip.

We visited and decided to book the guided tour as the guided tour in Auschwitz had been so good. The tour is in a small space and the groups are too big. It means that when the tour guide is talking about a specific exhibit, people at the back can’t see. We had a women join the tour and bustle to the front who hadn’t paid which was annoying but I guess that means if you don’t want to pay just join a tour. The tour walks through the museum and there is so much to see and read you miss out seeing a lot by doing the tour.

So my advice is go to the museum it’s really interesting but don’t pay the extra for the guided tour it isn’t worth the additional payment.

Arrived at meeting point outside the museum and given a headset by the staff. Michael then took us in and explained how the tour worked, warning us it may be crowded at some points. Michael's knowledge is excellent and he took us around for about 2hrs. You don't quite see every part of the museum, you could spend a full day in there without question. However what we were shown was excellent and a huge learning experience, definitely recommend visiting here either with or without a tour guide.

Echo'ing lots of other reviews - this is an exhibition about the wider history and a very limited amount about Schindler's work. It was very crowded and we were taken through rapidly, with limited audio quality to the guide's mic. So although we got some useful context from the guide, ultimately we got fragments of history and if would have been better if I'd been able to book independently and walk through at leisure. I would really recommend visiting the open space at Plaszow, where the forced labour camp was sited, the Galicia Jewish Museum and the Home Army museum. Cheap/free, uncrowded, giving you a really good idea of what happened especially for/to the Jewish population.

The Schindler's factory was a good experience but I did expect to see more of the factory itself, but it is more like a museum in the factory with lots of nazi memorabilia, which I do understand this definitely needs to be highlighted but I would have liked to see more of the original factory rooms where people worked? But I would still recommend people to go see it, there is so much information to take in which is important for the world to see and try to learn from.
Also I would advise you to get there early because it becomes very busy in early afternoons.

We felt the tour guide was a bit rushed and only showed us bits of the place. There was more to see but we only got glimpses of some parts as we had to stay with the guide. Also the headset provided only had one ear piece so it had a major effect on hearing the guide due to other noise in the museum. I also felt we didn't learn a lot about Schindler himself it was more about the Nazi party as a whole.

Really good tour with brilliant tour guide (sorry can’t remember the name of the tour guide). She was so informative about it all and very emotional about her history which is very understandable.
I would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Krakow we personally learnt from the tour.
The only down side I would have is we stood outside the museum as we was told to, and no one announced for us to go inside as our tour was starting so we missed a few minutes of the tour which we felt was none of our fault.

This was a disappointing tour, unfortunately. The tour started late due to the company booking it, but the tour guide inside the museum did a very nice job. The cons of the tour were the fact there way too many people in our group, all trying to fit into cramped hallways to see displays. We were so strung out you couldn’t see the display the guide was referring to (or the guide), until the presentation of that section was over. Due to time constraints some of the exhibit rooms were skipped, and the displays overall at the beginning were not that well done. They improved as you went on though. If we were to redo, we would have went in our own! WARNING…You DO NOT see anything of the factory! Only a couple pieces of equipment at the very end and very little is told about Mr. Schindler or any of the workers stories.

We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. During the summer season, our tours are indeed very popular and often fully booked. However, we strictly adhere to the museum's statute, which limits group sizes to a maximum of 25 people to ensure a manageable and informative tour experience. Regarding your concerns about the museum's layout, we understand that the narrow corridors can sometimes make it challenging for larger groups. The museum is housed in a historical building, and due to preservation regulations, they are unable to make significant alterations to the structure. This can occasionally lead to a more crowded experience, especially during peak times. It's important to note that the main exhibition, "Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945," focuses on the history of Kraków and its inhabitants, both Polish and Jewish, during World War Two. While Oscar Schindler is a significant figure, the museum's primary aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the period and the experiences of the city's residents. This broader historical context is a crucial part of the museum's narrative. We appreciate your suggestion and understand that some visitors may prefer a self-guided tour to explore the exhibits at their own pace. We hope you were still able to gain valuable insights from your visit despite the challenges you faced.

We visited Schindler's Enamel Factory, on arrival we approached the guide showing Discover Cracow however our names were not on their list, we called the contact number on the booking and by the time they had called back the same guide had came and got us at the front door, visiting the factory itself is an experience, the tour is mainly about the history of Krakow however there are a few mentions of Schindler throughout the tour, the tour guide was informative and detailed and certainly gives you a background to the old City. A few sad stories amongst it all. There is a small gift shop selling books and is worthwhile having a look through. There is a small taxi rank outside for anyone wanting back into the City. An enjoyable couple of hours learning the stories of Krakow.

Group tour with a very talented multilingual guide who gave a solid detailed review of the main attractions available at the venue. Tour probably could have done to have had a few less people on it due to some of the museums smaller rooms. A good experience nonetheless and would recommend.

My son and I came to visit when we were in Krakow recently, we decided to pay a visit to this museum. We thought it was good value for money, lot's of interesting points and well laid out in very limited space. However, our guide was VERY ODD to say the least - she made remarks about Schindler being a drunk and only interested in fast cars, fast women and nice clothes (so are a lot of men)! She seemed somewhat bitter about the movie success and stated on numerous occassions how others such as the pharmacist as an example were far more worthy of the praise and recognition. Her her final parting shot which made me gasp, the only good thing he did was save 1110 lives. Sweet jaysus, that is nothing short of amazing and she belittled his effort and the overall experience. Words are important, she could learn a lot of judging others
