About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- chrissG2310OZ0 contributionsOver crowded toursExtremely informative and more about the holocaust than about what Oskar Schindler achieved and very little about the factory. Not enough time is given to read the graphics because of being moved along by the group behind you. The party numbers were far to big to appreciate the content of the tour.Written December 8, 2024
- albertOxford0 contributionsBuy tickets directly from the museum websiteThe museum was a poignant review of wartime Krakow (and wider Poland) and what happened, with personal accounts and experiences. The museum was well laid out and gave an Interesting portrayal of life in occupied Poland, however I did feel it was more of a literary description (which could be difficult to follow) On the down side it can be very busy, causing long queues to get into the museum, (not pleasant in the cold). Facilities for disabled are poor, with very few places to rest on the walk through the museum, and that is on top of the long queue outside. We did buy “skip the line tickets” for a set time, however as we purchased these through a 3rd party website, Viator (who obtain there tickets through Discover Krakow) they were not guaranteed, and so happened to us. We turned up at the venue to be told our tickets had been cancelled. The information about not guaranteeing tickets by 3rd parties is on a notice at the door of the museum. In conclusion, the museum is worth a visit, but best done on a guided tour for a better experience. Be aware of companies selling tours as these are regularly cancelled. It is better to buy tickets through the museum directly in advance, from their website as these are guaranteed. The museum is not ideal for those who struggle with walking as their are very few places to restWritten December 3, 2024
- Dalemac1000 contributionsExcellent Tour, but not what we expectedThe tour was well structured and the guide was incredibly informative. When we booked the tour, we expected to be shown around Schindler's factory, but this was not the case. The tour is a chronological walk through the museum, taking us through the timeline of Russian and German occupation of Krakow during World War 11. The tour guide went into explicit detail of how the city was taken and how this impacted on the Polish people. There was a section of the tour, that focused on Oscar Schindler, but the tour was much more than. It was very informative and I felt that we learned so much about the journey that the city of Krakow went through during World War 11 and beyond Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this tour to anyoneWritten November 13, 2024
- SoumyoMoz0 contributionsNumbing effect...We booked with Krakow direct and the trip was well organised with English speaking guide. Both my wife and I have been reading about the holocaust since our formative years and this was in our bucket list... but seeing with your own eyes it was like whatever we read about was coming alive... it's an indescribable experience...its not a touristy thing to do and it's not meant for all... most important, respect those who endured the sufferings and passed away...so, refrain from taking smiling selfies and posing for photos... you can take photos of most of the places otherwise...Written November 9, 2024
- A7573CUcharliea0 contributionsSchindlers factory visitThis museum is an interesting and informative place in what happened. For kids I would say it’s important to see but the content is quite sad.Written October 23, 2024
- sharon b0 contributionsVery interesting and informativeGuide very informative Not what we were expecting but loved it Absolutely worth a visit Nice cafe and shop on site Definitely better with a guide rather than doing independentlyWritten October 7, 2024
- Getaway695500 contributionsHalf day trip to AushwitzExcellent company to deal with There was a last minute issue re pick up Handled it superbly Michał was our driver Journey was about 95 minutes he constantly spoke to passengers and offered views etc At Auschwitz-Birkenau he gave clear east to follow tips The sandwich bag offered was also great value and well worth getting as time at the camp is of the premium Thoroughly recommend using this companyWritten October 1, 2024
- dodge470 contributionsEven better than expectedWe expected to hear only of Schindler's work but the tour covered the Nazi invasion through to the Soviet time withthe tale of Schindler and the Pharmacy interwoven. Our guide had grandparents who were involved which amde it a more personal experience too. The only thing that stopped this being a 5 star review was the intrusive background sound effects and feedback on the audio if too close to the guide but the content was indeed 5 starWritten October 1, 2024

- settlor0 contributionsVery knowledgeable GuideThe guide was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. She spoke with passion about the events she was describing and brought it to life for the tour. The tour was well laid out and followed an order of events which made it easier to follow. Would recommendWritten August 27, 2024
- J6232UBdanieller0 contributionsFriendly staff and clean transport.I was recommend this company by a family member and booked a trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the salt mine online via get my guide. The staff were very friendly and informative and the transport was clean. The company will ring you the afternoon before your visit to tell you what time to arrive, as the times often differ to what is stated on the booking. Also, you need to make sure if you are going to Auschwitz-Birkenau that you take your passport with you to enter the museum. You’re not allowed to take metal items in with you, eat food whilst walking around both Auschwitz and Birkenau, or smoke/vape. If it is hot, I would highly recommend taking sun cream and a hat as a lot of it is outside (especially Birkenau) and there is not a lot of shade. You are allowed to eat and drink on the transport with the exception of hot beverages/food and ice cream.Written August 16, 2024
- infh20 contributionsAuschwitz - disappointing start but excellent trip as a wholeWe booked this tour well in advance of our trip to Poland as we knew it would be popular. Original pickup time was supposed to be around 10am from our hotel but we received an email 5 days before the tour saying the museum had provided a later slot and therefore the pickup was delayed to 13.05pm. Then 2 days before the tour we received another email asking if we could meet at a pick-up point 600m away instead of from the hotel as originally planned. The package that we booked said it included a 500ml bottle of water but when I asked about it we were told there wasn't any and that we could buy some at Auschwitz if we wanted. Very disappointing in the 29 degree heat. Our coach guide, Emily, had only been with the company a week or so but she was really lovely. At Auschwitz I did find the English speaking guide a little hard to understand but you could tell he loved what he did and he seemed very knowledgeable from the bits I did get. Despite the early disappointments, it was a fascinating visit but an emotional one too.Written August 15, 2024

- Rhondda_Lad0 contributionsExtremely DisappointingWe foud this establishment extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, dangerous. We were adviswd that there was no need to prebook but when we turned up there was no organisation in place. Whilst there are lots of exhibits relating to the German occuption of Poland all the signs in Polish were quite large whilst the English text were very small. There is no obvious way to follow and what signage there was was very small. In fact, in order to leave I had to find a member of staff to get directions.Written July 8, 2024
