About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jessefoxxy10 contributionsChristopher arranged the best experiences!AMAZING TRIP. I’d been to Auschwitz many times before, but my family wanted to go. Christopher was able to move heavy and earth to find us a driver and tickets when everything looked like it was sold out for awhile. Instead of waiting hours in the cold, we were picked up in a comfortable car, driven to the museum, and driven home. He also helped us arrange a custom walking tour around the city and a guided tour in Schindler’s Factory with Monika, who was great. Overall, cannot recommend Private Tours Krakow enough for their listed tours and private custom tours!Written December 30, 2024
- DayTrip219068693620 contributionsHighly recommendedI can’t thank Christopher enough for the incredible tour of Auschwitz. Even though the site was fully booked, they went above and beyond to secure a spot for me, which I truly appreciate. The guide was knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful, providing a deeply moving and educational experience that I will never forget. Their professionalism and dedication to ensuring everything went smoothly made all the difference. If you’re looking for a tour company that genuinely cares about providing exceptional service, I highly recommend them!Written December 20, 2024
- Robjoy0 contributionsFantastic CompanyWe can not recommend this company highly enoigh. Chris was excellent to deal with from start to finish and answered all our questions thoroughly. Our personal transport arrived at our hotel on time and drove us out of the city and onto our visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Our driver got the 4 of us in quickly and past the queue's where once we got through the stringent security checks we were met by our guide and collected our whisper system headset and the tour began. Our guide was superb and very knowledgeable. After completing the Auschwitz tour we transferred to the Birkenau site for the second part of the tour. We are so pleased that we booked with Chris's company for this iconic visit. We cannot rate this company highly enough and great value for money.Written December 17, 2024
- Sue M0 contributionsBrilliant companyPlease use this your company from picking us up at the airport to go to the hotel a full days sightseeing and then being picked up to go back to the airport seamless Courteous polite company would highly recommend to anyoneWritten November 28, 2024
- A2313SMdennisl0 contributionsAmazing TourI have to say, I am not one with the patience to write the number of reviews asked of me on a daily basis. No matter how amazing the experience. But for my time with Christopher and his associate, Alicia, I will make an exception. My wife and I decided to visit Krakow as a different kind of experience. We had heard that the city is beautiful and culturally rich. Of course, its history as a holocaust venue is well known. We wanted our visit to Auschwitz-Birkinau to be sensitively treated and properly respectful. Both Christopher and Alicia delivered beyond any expectation. First, the one hour drive to the site was punctuated by our numerous questions to Christopher, our driver. He was more than eager to answer any question we had. And when it came to questions about Poland, which bled into questions about Central European history, which bled into religion and aesthetics, he was authoritative. You see, it turns out he has a PhD in Philosophy and has taught at university. Let's just say the discussions were illuminating and much appreciated. At Auschwitz, we were lucky enough to get Alicia as our guide. She was employed at Auschwitz for more than 20 years in its administration and is now a private tour guide on the rare occasion. I'm sure if you asked for her she may make herself available. She was amazing. Despite her many years at the camp she confessed to getting emotional with each visit. My wife and I could see it and feel it, which is precisely what makes a private tour so meaningful. Well, I've been going on too long, although I have much more to say. My recommendation is not to hesitate to book with Christopher. I'm positive he and his team will deliver exactly what you want, and to do it with grace, compassion, and flexibility. Bravo.Written November 16, 2024
- marymZ7598XG0 contributionsExcellent experienceMy husband and I spent 3 days with Christopher (one of those with someone he recommended) and it was excellent. We did a 4 hour walking tour of Krakow, visited Auschwitz, the Salt Mine and took a train to Warsaw for a walking tour there. Christopher was incredibly knowledgeable on all topics and so pleasant to spend time with. He shared many topics of interest even beyond the tour. His recommendations for hotels, restaurants, activities were excellent and so helpful. We would highly recommend him and will plan to revisit based on recommendations of other places to see for which we ran out of time.Written November 12, 2024
- vpeppler0 contributionsA wonderful guideChristophe is a very interesting person. He has a vast knowledge in history, politics and philosophy to name a few. Our drive to Auschwitz was very enriching. We got all our questions answered it felt that no subject would be a problem. He is a very open man, pleasant and smart. I can more than recommend his services. He is also a very good driver. Thank you Christophe for this memorable day.Written November 11, 2024
- Paula R0 contributionsBrilliantly well organised tripWe’ve just returned from our tour and it was so well organised. Denis drove us around very considerately and ensured we were aware of where we needed to be and what to do at all times. Patricia our guide was incredibly informative and gave us all huge insights into the history of the sites and could answer all of our questions. We were very grateful to be on a private tour with her and not in one of the larger groups as we got much more of a personal experience.Written November 2, 2024
- markwQ6065MI0 contributionsChristopher is exceptional!Christopher was exceptional. He greeted us at the train station and drove us to Krakow. He shared with us the fascinating and in-depth history of Krakow while visiting a variety of areas in the city. He then drove us to our Auschwitz’s tour and during the drive was answering all of our questions. He waited for us to complete our tour and then took us back to the train station, making certain we got onto the correct train. Christopher has a terrific personality and vast amount of knowledge. We would absolutely ask for him again.Written October 23, 2024
- 376helainel0 contributionsKrakow Experience 2024My daughters and I spent the first part of the day with Christopher who picked us up at our airbnb in Karakow and drove us to Auschwitz. He was so friendly, patient and knowledgeable (and a good driver!). He was very interested in our motivation to visit Poland, our thoughts and impressions as he shared his insight into Polish history and culture. We spent the later part of the day with Joanna who took us through the Schindler Factory and Jewish Quarter. It was quite an emotional and exhilarating day thanks to the professionalism of Christopher and Joanna. Krakow is an amazing city and they made it even better! Thank you!!Written October 16, 2024
- Carol_Kaz0 contributionsExceptional Private Tour with Christopher – Highly Recommend! We recently took a private tour to Auschwitz and Birkenau with Christopher, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience! From the moment he picked us up at our hotel, he provided an informative and engaging overview of the areas we drove through, and he was more than happy to answer any questions we had. Christopher’s knowledge extended beyond Auschwitz itself, as he also shared helpful tips and even assisted us with making a restaurant reservation. Once at Auschwitz, Christopher introduced us to our guide, Simon, who led us through a deeply detailed tour of the sites. Simon’s information made the experience incredibly real and impactful. Though it was a very emotional visit, Simon’s insight allowed us to fully understand the horrors that prisoners at Auschwitz and Birkenau endured. After the tours, Christopher was waiting for us, ready to take us back to our hotel. The return journey was just as pleasant, with more conversation about Poland and its history. Christopher’s extensive knowledge isn’t limited to Auschwitz—he offers tours all over Poland and even has expertise in genealogical research. With my husband’s family being from Poland, we’re planning to reach out to him again for help in exploring our ancestry. We highly recommend Christopher for any private tours in Poland and will definitely be contacting him for future trips. His professionalism, friendliness, and expertise made our visit truly memorable! Thank you so much Christopher!Written October 15, 2024
- bcromar0 contributionsAn excellent experience all aroundOur group of four wanted a private and reflective tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau, so we researched options and luckily found Christopher. He was excellent from start to finish. Christopher’s knowledge of Polish history added a great background as we drove to the site. Our on-site tour was led by an Auschwitz guide, and we were able to get inside some of the buildings that the general tours don’t go to. Everyone in our group agreed that being on a private tour made the experience that much more meaningful. Christopher is knowledgeable, friendly and an all-around good person. After the trip he booked restaurant reservations for us at two memorable restaurants. I highly recommend Christopher as an outstanding go-to person when visiting Krakow.Written October 14, 2024

- Z5763ROrichardg0 contributionsTHE best option for touring AuschwitzAuschwitz-Birkenau is one of the most important historic sites one can visit. It has to be done right to appreciate just how monumental its history is. Book your day with Christopher and you will have just such an experience. He is extremely knowledgeable and very eager to share his insights. We had wonderful conversations on the way to and from our destination. From a logistical standpoint, Christoper was right on time for our hotel pickup. His Mercedes van is clean and comfortable. He set us up with a very informative and personal private guide named Teresa. He made everything easy. By the end of the day, I felt like we were old friends. I can't say enough good things about Christopher.Written October 2, 2024
- Jeffrey M0 contributionsWarm and Wonderful ExperienceOur guide Christopher took us to Auschwitz where we visited this terrible monument to man’s inhumanity and darkness. On the way there and back he spoke eloquently and beautifully about the history of Poland and shared his enormous knowledge of history and culture with our group. It was a memorable day that we will never forget and an experience that everyone should undertake once in their lives. We have better understanding of the immense suffering of The Jewish Community as well as the entire Polish people during thesd dark yearsWritten September 26, 2024

I took a live virtual "walking" tour of Krakow with Christopher. He is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable - his passion for what he does really comes through and that makes the visit so interesting and exciting! He was also very patient with me - stopping and turning back towards things I wanted to see a bit longer, and even framing them in a lovely manner for me to photograph from my screen (as I would if I was really there). It has been difficult to live without travel during Covid. This experience made me feel like I was actually in another place, discovering new things. It really felt like a travel adventure! I would highly recommend Christopher to all my friends and loved ones for touring in Poland and beyond!

Thank you so much for the wonderful tour Christopher! It was a special way to celebrate my mother’s birthday. My family all over the U.S. participated in the call, and we felt like we got an up close and personal tour of a city none of us had visited before. It was an amazing experience, and the ability to "travel" together like that virtually is one of the few good things to come out of this pandemic. We learned so much about the history of Poland, and also current life in Poland. You are a personable guide – we loved your stories. Thank you!!

Fabulous tour and guide! There is lots to see in Krakow but you miss so much without a knowledgeable guide to provide the history of what you are viewing. Christopher, our Private Tours guide, made the city come alive with his background information, well organized route, and friendly personality. Showing us historically significant places, his stories painted a picture of the history of Krakow through its triumphs and hardships. Always time for questions, a pleasant stop at a cafe and up to date recommendations for restaurants, Christopher's educated knowledge of his city made the afternoon one of the highlights of our trip. Christopher helped us appreciate this truly wonderful city.

Thought this was supposed to be a group tour, I was the only guidee and so had a 1-2-1 with Christopher. It turned out to be very educational; from the Stary rynek, down the side roads winding though the University buildings, right on through to Wawel Castle, all done in temps of -10c whilst I was in the comfort of my living room. Christophers knowledge of the historical buildings and thefigures behind Krakow were exceptional. It has given m ehte taste to visit this wonderful and unique city for real and to meet up with Christopher to get some more historical facts. Really appreciate the effort to go ahead today even though there was only me "visiting".

We were lucky enough to have Antonio "da Foggia" as our city guide, a super-prepared, professional and friendly guide who accompanied us one afternoon to visit the Jewish Ghetto and one morning to see the city center. He made this tour interesting and engaging. The tour is free of charge.

Private Tours Kracow did a great job! Booking was easy - were able to arrange a tour with less than 23 hours notice. Our tour guide, Anna, was outstanding. She gave us a thorough overview of Kracow (and Poland’s) history in an engaging, informative manner. When we asked questions about different periods in history (we are an inquisitive group), she always had a thoughtful response. And, when it started to rain, she gamely continued the tour.

Christopher was FABULOUS! He conducted a live virtual tour for our CEO and the senior leadership team. The feedback has been tremendous. He was so knowledgeable and his demeanor was welcoming and friendly. When any of us make it live to Krakow, we will be looking Christopher up for a live tour. The BEST! Fully and confidently recommend Christopher as your guide.
